Trees and other foliage will be added next to show enrich the look of the level. By creating a more complex mask, you will be able to scatter the trees based on occlusion, curvature, direction and noise.
Have to say, this is the best houdini & UE4 turtorial I ever seen. thanks a lot.

11:41 Instead of using [CopyToPoints] Node, why not just plug the tree_placeholder into the Input 3 (Primitives to Instance) of the HF Scatter Node?
place holders are just for visualization. If he replaced points by place holder there was no points to instantiate in unreal.
