      It's really similar! The taekwondo guard is more focused on the lean back to avoid kicks rather than the upper body rotation to evade punches

    I grew up with a guy who was a very bad ass fighter. He studied TKD and he boxed a little. He used this stance and box like he was using the Philly shell and kick the hell out of you when needed. This reminds me of him. ( oh snap, I just realized the Philly shell comment at the bottom lol)
