At the time of this song/video, the line up of Heart was: Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Howard Leese (lead guitar), Mark Andes (Bass) and Denny Carmassi (Drums). They were Heart from 1982 to 1991. They were the band during the comeback/MTV era hits era of the band. When Heart hit big in 1975/75, the line up was Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Roger Fisher (lead guitar), Howard Leese (keyboards and guitar), Steve Fossen (Bass) and Michael Deroshier (Drums). Fisher left in 79. He and Nancy were a couple (Ann was involved with Michael Fisher, Roger's brother and manager of the band). Both relationships ended in 79 so the Fishers were gone and Heart continued as a 5 member band with Leese doing most of the guitar solos (Nancy was primarily rhythm guitar, acoustic guitars, mandolins, keyboards and background vocals with an occasional lead). In 1982 after recording the album Private Audition, Fossen and Deroshier left and were replaced by Andes and Carmassi for the Private Audition tour and then subsequent albums Passionworks, Heart 85 (the comeback album which includes What About Love), Bad Animals, and Brigade (as well as a live album Rock the House Live). In 1993, Heart recorded Desire Walks On--Andes was out so they used a session bassist and for the tour Carmassi was gone.
"These Dreams" was their first #1 hit and actually features Nancy on lead vocals. And as great as the studio-version is, my personal favorite is their live, acoustic version "These Dreams - Live in Seattle," which I believe was around 2002.
Thank you Tasha! I love the lyrics to all their songs. I've been fortunate enough to see them live and they are just as good or better than the videos. Ann and Nancy both rock as does the band. 💕
Tasha, give this Heart song from the same period a reaction. It’s called, Nothing At All. Or a hard Zeppelinesque tune from the 70’s we jammed too back in the day called, Mystral Wind.
Best female voice in Rock!!! Super powerful!! Love your reaction! I remember an old girlfriend told me to listen to this song closely while she was chasing me and I was dragging my feet back when this song first came out. We ended up in a close and hot 4 year relationship and she finally dumped my ass when I was dragging my feet again when she wanted marriage. LOL ☹☹.... I think of her every time I hear this song cause its so applies.
The song that blew apart one of Canada's biggest bands of the early 80's, who had already had 6 Top 40 hits. Toronto's lead vocalist and his wife Toronto's guitarist wrote this song and it was supposed to go on the "Get It On Credit" album, but others in the band and management thought it was too sappy, so it never got beyond the Demo stage. Later Heart buys it and BAM, they come back from the dead. Was the last straw and Brian and Sheron left the band shortly after. Give the demo a listen, and you will realize Heart took it note for note, with the exact instrumentation as well, but added the Goddess of Rock Grace Slick for the backing vocals. . We say Toronto play it live back then, and well Holly Woods Toronto's vocalist was damn near as good as Anne, and she blew it up.
Though Heart made this popular in 1985, it was actually written three years prior. In 1982, Canadian rock band Toronto recorded the song during the sessions for their album "Get It on Credit". However, aside from the two members who wrote it, the rest of the band elected not to include it on the album. Their recording of the song wasn't released until the album got a reissue in 2002, when it was included as a bonus track. The most popular track on it was "Your Daddy Don't Know".
Heart was always playing in my 69 chevy van back in the 70's. Funny thing back then, I don't remember anyone obsessed over Gender or Race, just great music from great bands!
Love you TnT and HEart!! One day Maybe I can tell everyone why. but for now, Here are the last of the Tour dates for Heart on their current tour. I highly recommend going, they are BETTER than their albums LIVE!! I have hurt myself trying to sing along with them many times!
She is a true rocker
Most definitely! Thanks for watching ❤️
This song was the beginning of a big comeback for them in the mid 80s that continued through the early 90s.
I saw Heart several times in concert and they were amazing!! Both are great singers. ❤️

Now you’re ready for Heart’s Led Zeppelin tribute: Heart - Stairway to Heaven (Live at Kennedy Center Honors)
Oh heck ya!!!!

Love her voice!!!!
I love Heart so much.
Yah I know I put that in every video. Great reaction video as always, glad you love them too!
I can't say it enough either. 😊🤷
this band has always had tremendous power.
Ann's voice is so beautiful that it brings me to tears. I love your reactions!!
I was 14 when this song came out. It was so awesome listening to music like this on the radio as a kid.
Heart love alive should be your next song
In my opinion the lyrics are most important because the lyrics is what gets deep inside of you

I was shocked with a current reaction. Thank you ma'am.
Beyond awesome. Chills throughout!! 😅
I had such a crush on Anne……so beautiful ❤❤❤❤

Right on. 🤘 It was truly a special time with such an embarrassment of musical riches we all took for granted, thinking it would never end. 👈😎
Love some heart
If you haven’t checked out the Heart video for “All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You”, you should and it has a great twist at the end
I would like to suggest "Magazine". It's an early song of Heart and received a lot of FM airplay back in the day.

My ex girlfriend hated Heart. There was something about them she couldn't handle. Sadly, I am still heartbroken,

Ann❤❤❤
Tall Dark Handsome Stranger...
Please react to Heart song Alone official music video. The 2 Wilson sisters are great!
The only thing I dislike about this song is the end. Why does it trail off when Ann is still riffing?
also please do Steelheart mama don't you cry
Banda libanos
@ 1:48 is the exact time we know you got chills, right when she sang "waiting". Don't think I've ever seen that, at the exact moment!
Merry Christmas!!! you should do Twisted Sister - Silver Bells
