Wow, what a change - your usual giant slabs make that "regular"-sized loaf look tiny on your counter! I've used the Baraka Black Soap crumbles (that Bramble Berry sells) as an additive - and LOVE the resulting bar - but not the Quick Mix. But now I want to try it, since you made it look so easy and fun, and the bars are beautiful. Ha ha, maybe I'll add some banana to double up on the speckles! 😊
It was such a teeny tiny batch. Haha! It was fun though. It's nice not having to get an arm workout to make soap. They sent me the crumbles as well. I am looking forward to using them.
Wow! It does! It looks just like your banana buttermilk soap☺️ I am a fan of African Black Soap, it’s wonderful for your skin. That looks like a very easy starter mix ….. thx for sharing! p.s. Bramble Berry is an awesome company!
This was great to watch Holly!! I put canola oil in a lot of my soap, I really like it! It's quite moisturizing for the skin I find and one of the more economical oils too. Canola gets a bad rap in cooking but it's great topically!! Try it out, I think you'd like it! 😉
Holly, This was so much fun to watch! Very interesting as well. I personally have never used a Brambleberry Quick Mix either, so I learned a lot about the process watching your video. Thank you for doing it! It's peaked my interest in trying it for fun. I don't think with the price point of the mix, that you'd make a great profit on the bars, but it would be fun to do! African Black Soap is very much trending, and are a bit more expensive to buy. So I may be wrong about the profit margin, lol! This was totally entertaining, watching you mske soap is always a joy! Have a great day, Holly!!! Jill
Thank you Jill! It was a fun, small batch to make. Super easy! The real test will be to see how my skin likes it. I struggle with higher coconut, etc., and I just don't have a clue what's in it.
Great video Holly. when I use that type of mold, I use corflute and trace around the bottom of the mold cut it out in a rectangle, then it bring it up under the lip of the mold now it's the same size top and bottom.. xx
This was a great video to watch Holly, never used a quick mix but good for someone starting out making soap and the soap turned out great and so shiny as well .loved it xx
Wow, I love this soap, I've been wanting to make a banana soap too lol. Its cool you put the silicone mold in a wood mold to keep its shape, ill have to try that, I've been wondering how I would do that and now I know, thanks for the tip and the video.
It confused me at first too because they do not clarify it well. What you do is use the lye calculator at brambleberry.com and choose the quick mix on the oils page.
Fun video Holly! If you want to learn how to make African Black Soap from scratch check out my channel. It has been a fun journey going to the Ghana Soap School and learning the basics of black soap. Brambleberry has made a cute mix and like all their mixes is easy for beginners. Baraka has some great crumbles too if you want to make your own mix of CP and ABS blends like this. I formulate for Baraka and love using their raw ingredients. Excellent video hon! I love how it feels like a solid bodywash when you use it in its pure form. I really hope you enjoy your first experience with ABS! xoxoJen
Very nice. I have to keep telling myself, “no, you don’t need to start making soap”! Lol
Haha! If you value your money, you won't start. LOL
I love African Black Soap! 🧼 It's also great as a shampoo.
Oh interesting!
I’m so glad you are making this because I’ve been curious about this soap!!!!
I think this is definitely the easy route but a more involved African Black Soap might be on the agenda soon.
Turned out great! The quick mix is perfect for any beginners.
Thank you!
I just bought the e quick mix. Can’t wait to make it!
Awesome! I hope you have great fun with it!
Mmmm bananna soap, I swear I smelled it after you said it
That quick mix looked so nice
That's so funny! The quick mix is so easy to use.

Thank you Michelle! That's a great idea.
Very fun video ! Thank you Holly for sharing.❤️
Thank you!
Can’t wait for when you try it and what you’re opinion will be it’s very interesting indeed. Thanks Holly. 💕
Thank you! I am excited to try it. I don't have to wait too much longer!
I bought some African shea crumbles from my local soap supply just not sure how to use it
This was a great video to watch Holly, never used a quick mix but good for someone starting out making soap and the soap turned out great and so shiny as well .loved it xx
Thank you Jayne!
I started my soapy journey with the Bramble Berry quick mixes. They are very easy and can make soap making addictive. 😁
That's great! They sure are handy!
Looks great! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
It reminds me of my coffee soap
Oh true! It does have a similar look to coffee soap without a discoloring fragrance.
Very interesting looking. Please do a follow-up to show how it lathers & such. Thank you.
Thank you Denise! That is a good idea!
Hey! Holly this was an interesting video it seemed to easy though. Ping and pour!!😃. Looked a nice result. Thanks as ever💜
Thank you Sarah!
It’s a great soap Holly
Thank you Clivia!
It looks really nice!
Thank you Melinda!
The soap looks super shiny
It was very shiny. A lot of that has to do with the silicone mold. It makes a great finish.

Thank you!
Love your videos 🙏👍
Thank you Shakina!
would be so cool if you used this but made it white to make it look like Chocolate Chip Ice Cream 🍦
I never heard of African Black Soap without plantain powder.
Oh interesting! I bet plantain powder is awesome.
Hi Holly, I am wondering if your Barber Shoppe soap is a scent you can buy or is it one of yours?
Hello. It's one of my own blends.
I’m wondering how to put a quick mix through a lye calculator. Does the package have the percentage’s of each oil used in the mix?
It confused me at first too because they do not clarify it well. What you do is use the lye calculator at brambleberry.com and choose the quick mix on the oils page.
@@moriversoap thanks!! I’m gonna try some.
Do u have to use lue
Soap must be made with lye. The saying goes "No lye, no soap, no lie." LOL
How much water and Lye did you use?
I used the calculator on Bramble Berry's website to figure out what I needed.
Can someone literally just tell me exactly how much water and I to use with this recipe?
Water and lye .. I’ve already looked at the calculator. I just wanna know how to measure it out.
I would suggest getting some soapmaking books and doing more research. You don't seem ready be handling a caustic material.
the africain black soap made from potach an organic materiel from 400 meters undergroud and then mixt with coconaut oil and castor oil only
That's very cool!

Thanks so much! I can't wait to try this version and it has peaked my interest in the Baraka products and black soap.
