I remember in 1985 I was grade 1 that time peso and USD was 1 is to 1. Every Friday we have something for the weekend like oatmeal, milk and mutton meat distributed in every public schools. I was really very young then when during Marcos time. I grew up with people who hated Marcos and so in my very young mind also I learned to hate this GREAT MAN. I was part of those people who celebrated when Marcos was thrown to Hawaii. But as years gone by, I realized that I was wrong. This man had done so many great things for our country. During his time the Philippines was second richest country in Asia or even the richest one. We are so powerful that even China was scared and bowed before us. We almost have MISSILE and ROCKETS courtesy of Marcos. Infrastructure projects were all over the country. If he really had stolen money from the government but at least he had put the Philippines in the highest pedestal in Asia. I cannot control my tears every time I viewed all the achievements of Marcos as the president. Our leaders today did nothing to our country but enrich themselves. Its so painful to think that these political leaders of ours today are once the ANTI MARCOS PEOPLE, who are now in powers and are part of the DAP/PDAF scam. .... I was really very young then when during Marcos time. I grew up with people who hated Marcos and so in my very young mind also I learned to hate this GREAT MAN. I was part of those people who celebrated when Marcos was thrown to Hawaii. But as years gone by, I realized that I was wrong. This man had done so many great things for our country. During his time the Philippines was second richest country in Asia or even the richest one. We are so powerful that even China was scared and bowed before us. We almost have MISSILE and ROCKETS courtesy of Marcos. Infrastructure projects were all over the country. If he really had stolen money from the government but at least he had put the Philippines in the highest pedestal in Asia. I cannot control my tears every time I viewed all the achievements of Marcos as the president. Our leaders today did nothing to our country but enrich themselves. Its so painful to think that these political leaders of ours today are once the ANTI MARCOS PEOPLE, who are now in powers and are part of the DAP/PDAF scam. ....
