I’m really loving that “Decepticons Transform and Rise Up” is becoming Megatrons catchphrase. It’s a nice parallel to Primes “Autobots Transform and Roll out.” Both fit the characters personalities really well and I think Frank Welker said it the best. xx

He also makes Megatron actually feel threatening so you understand the Cons fear of him. Corey Burton is a very close second imo he really nails the manipulative, scheming side of Megatron. Which makes you understand why many of the cons choose to follow him. If anyone can take over as the leader of the Decepticons when welker retires from the role it’s Burton. xx
That’s because Frank IS Megatron. When he returned in Prime. Frank was pretty much being honest, not acting when he said “Decepticons, I have returned!”

I love that in TFOne the meaning has changed from rising into the sky and instead has become about rising up against tyranny (or at least whatever they consider to be tyranny). It just makes it even more believable that Megatron fully believes he’s in the right.
Um, the message has always meant to fight against perceived tyranny, even in Animated. I guess it’s understandable to be mixed up considering most Decepticons fly.

As far as I can tell there wasn’t much more meaning in it beyond that. I’m currently halfway through rewatching Animated at the moment though so I don’t remember if there’s something later on that gives it more meaning. But from what I’ve watched it just seems like the Autobots say roll out because they’re all wheeled vehicles and the Decepticons say rise up because they’re all flying vehicles, including Megatron who’s a helicopter in that version.
@ in case you forgot, even in the more lighthearted Animated continuity, the Decepticons treated themselves as rebels to Autobot oppression, “Rise up!” is their way of saying they’re fighting against such oppression. As I said, it’s very easy to misinterpret it as to not have a deeper message when nearly all the Decpticons can fly. The message has been clear since the first time Megatron said it. And in case you didn’t notice, “Rise up!” is also used as form of a rebellious battle cry in Prime, where the Decepticons were formed because of the corruption that ran through Cybertron’s politics and leadership. TF One is literally just the latest in using that phrase for what it’s original purpose and message was.

I think that Brian Tyree Henry have potential to be great Megatron. He's take seems to be a little more hammy than Frank Welker, Hugo Weaving or Corey Burton, but this could be explained by him beign much younger than most known version of character. Also, Beast Wars Megatron is my favorite take on character, and David Kaye did a lot of chewing the scenery.

the context for prime makes the second one better. megatron said this after optimus broke the omega lock making it almost impossible to revive cybertron and he lost an arm. the first one is after megatron after 60 years finally gets revived and beats up the autobots and killed starscream. the third one needs more context.
The third one is the birth of decepticon where they sick getting lies by prime ( mainly sentinel prime ). That their name decepticon because their not gonna take the deception by government
