Yeah she's wonderful! And she's not just doing a cover song, she's reinventing the meaning of the song and strumming a real ukelele like never seen before. It's an homage a the very least and she is brilliant and hot and a classy star!!!
This is bloody amazing! Brilliant stuff Kate! She looks gorgeous and so talented as always. Love her version of this song and the live video. Can't wait to see you soon KB
She was in concert recently and looks gorgeous. Traveled from Boston to London to see her, and couldn't believe how full of stamina and radiance she is as a middle-aged person. Exquisite artist and performer.
She had a record to promote - her song on the Elton John tribute album "Two Rooms". She has cited Elton as an influence on her piano playing and songwriting. Also, her mother Hannah was apparently a fan of this show.
The end is really sweet because the host gives a shout-out to Kate's then-ailing mother, Hannah. She died pretty soon after this performance. I wish this were actually live, but Kate slayed this cover. Lovely.
this version of the song is by far my favorite I love Elton. But Kate does this beautifly. and she is such a sensual and beautiful woman. Her voice is brilliant. xx
Kate Bush could take any song, reinterpret it, change it, alter it in any way and it would sound better. She's amazing, the greatest female singer-songwriter and musician of all time 👍
I remember listening to this on a flight to India at 18 when I left to travel for a year. I played it over and over when the booze was free on flights. On repeat. What a flight.
Mentioned this on another video, and was nice to see here as well, great cover, but the guitar on the chair, really nice nod to Alan Murphy… talented guitarist who went way to soon
Kate; This is the first time I've seen a video of you doing this song. I've had the "Two Rooms" CD for years and I sincerely believe that your cover is not only the best one on that album but I actually like it better than the original. You go girl. Your version is like Dolly Parton's sweet original of "I will always love you" compared to the brassy one by Whitney Houston. Except that hers is the original - and better; and yours is the cover - and better. Mike
Yeah she's wonderful now question! That's not her doing a cover. She's reinventing the meaning of the song. It's an homage a the very least and she is brilliant and hot and a classy star!!!
She is a phenomenal musician and composer, I'm a massive fan, but she's not playing that ukulele, it's just used as a pose and a nod to Marilyn Monroe. I can play the guitar and ukulele and she isn't even changing chord shapes throughout the whole song.
Anyone who knows if that's Peter Gabriel holding the accordion around Kate? Can't find any info about them being there together, but it sure looks like him?
Kate Bush is second to none when she came back after a twelve year absence a a lot of her fans were dissapionted it was said by critics that Kate lost the plot I highly dissagree Kate is still brilliant
I went into HMV and talked to the guy selling.About rocket man by Kate Bush.He said she had been earlier about 2 hours ago. Lost ten thousand pounds being conned buying shares in HMV. less Divi of one thousand But I made twenty thousand the year before.Have not bought shares since.
She gets my vote for best British female songwriter and artist ever by a country mile!
She should have left this alone and got another job
Terry Wogan mentioning Kate's mum Hannah at the end...Lovely touch ☘️💚💚
love this, my favourite cover ever!! Kate's so beautiful, loving her hair!!
I agree. Stunningly beautiful but her hair, well, thick luscious flowing locks!
I know its amazing and her hair is so beautiful and long, I don't know how she gets it like that.
Clearly you've never heard William Shatners! haha
Absolutely adore Kate, her voice hits the sweet spot every time...a long long fan!
I will always return to Kate and her amazing music! No argument!
Lovely to see it with Terry's message to Hannah. Thank you.
Yeah she's wonderful! And she's not just doing a cover song, she's reinventing the meaning of the song and strumming a real ukelele like never seen before. It's an homage a the very least and she is brilliant and hot and a classy star!!!
I love this...Kate is...without a doubt....my most favorite Bush...It's awesome that there are so many of her videos available here...
This is bloody amazing! Brilliant stuff Kate! She looks gorgeous and so talented as always. Love her version of this song and the live video. Can't wait to see you soon KB
wonderful, loved her since I was 15 and Wuthering Heights came out.
She was in concert recently and looks gorgeous. Traveled from Boston to London to see her, and couldn't believe how full of stamina and radiance she is as a middle-aged person. Exquisite artist and performer.
+Keith DeWeese Hey I thought I was the only person who travelled to see Kate from Boston... lol.
Wish I'd seen that show. Probably the last time she'll be on stage.
Voted the greatest ever cover. Hue and Cry’s version of Man with the child in his eyes, runs it close.
Loved her then; love her now. Thank you Kate for your unique stile.
she is absolutely gorgeous
She had a record to promote - her song on the Elton John tribute album "Two Rooms". She has cited Elton as an influence on her piano playing and songwriting. Also, her mother Hannah was apparently a fan of this show.
This woman is supremely good. Thank-you.
The end is really sweet because the host gives a shout-out to Kate's then-ailing mother, Hannah. She died pretty soon after this performance. I wish this were actually live, but Kate slayed this cover. Lovely.
Incredible!!! Kate Bush is always amazing
Love this - best cover version ever. Kate's hair is really long here
Am I crazy, or is this better than the original??
this version of the song is by far my favorite I love Elton. But Kate does this beautifly.
and she is such a sensual and beautiful woman. Her voice is brilliant. xx
...lovely touch, having the guitar in the chair......quite moving x
Wow never heard this before! Absolutely brilliant arrangement of this fabulous song!
The official video is even better (better quality video for one) and she does this sexy little jaunty dance. So beautiful.
Kate Bush could take any song, reinterpret it, change it, alter it in any way and it would sound better. She's amazing, the greatest female singer-songwriter and musician of all time 👍

OMG. 28 years ago ?! And I remember watching it.
Was it a big deal?
This is a great version!!
wow, she can do anything with that voice!!
Still ahead of her time. I adore this woman.
Pure class - and the whole band have great style and dress sense.
Great video, and Kate playing air ukelele is quite a treat :-)
So beautiful 🌹🌹🌹
A totally original cover. excellent post. thanks!
Original cover.
Oxymoron?
Mentioned this on another video, and was nice to see here as well, great cover, but the guitar on the chair, really nice nod to Alan Murphy… talented guitarist who went way to soon
The guitar with the Candle Is an homage to her previous guitarrist who has died from Aíds.
Alan Murphy died 19/10/89 he was 35
@@gruppenfuhrer73 " S'Murph, playing his guitar refrain"
Awesome

Love it! Love it! Love it!
WOW!! I lived to see and hear Kate Bush
I love her jaunty little dance she does for this song.
Yes, Kate can do anything
what a stunner
Greatest cover ever
She has me entirely under her spell. What I wouldn't do for this woman!
MR ELTON JOHN YOU MUST BE SO PROUD OF THIS.
She was invited to his wedding. And the 600 celebrity guests all wanted to meet her above anyone :-)
And he sings a duet with Kate on her 50 Words for Snow album. “Snowed in at Wheeler Street”. ♥️
I remember watching this 21 and something years ago.
kate Bush is lovely. She touches a nerve in you i wish i could express.
However, she does it.
Kate;

Wow! She is SO amazing
Kate Bush can't really do anything without being utterly unique and beguilingly lovely. I'm sure her just taking a dump is somehow enchanting.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with Kate Bush
Del looks so damn funky on his bass i love it haha :D
Kate Bush is everything
the most unbelievably beautiful woman with the most unbelievably voice..
The guitar in the chair is a tribute to her guitarist that passed away.
Linda Voz!
Kate and her band were so good that they could even mime perfectly out of sync with the music.
awesome
@nootaramus The strings on her ukelele are clearly visible at 1:28.
I like the Elton John original. But, I like this one too. It is magnificent, just like Kate Bush. Love her!
The very end is a shout out to Kate’s mother, Hannah who was very unwell at the time.
Former PM Gordon Brown embracing Kate...
Who knew they were so close?
She is hottt and she damn well knows it!! Great original song and good cover too.
ever for ever+
She was truly stunning. Lurch cannot dance to save his life.
I love her.
Oh Kate was so much better than these plastic replacements! I wish it was tomorrow! ( :
Actually the way she sings is great.
I think it's got an 80's reggae feel to it, interesting version.
I never knew Gordon Brown played the squeeze box!
Immense.
I am love with her bottom lip
Yeah she's wonderful now question! That's not her doing a cover. She's reinventing the meaning of the song. It's an homage a the very least and she is brilliant and hot and a classy star!!!
Kate was playing ukulele before it was cool...
She is soo fuckin sexy in this Clip....but it´s her Husband, right behind her....:-(
what about marilyn monroe in 'some like it hot'?
She is a phenomenal musician and composer, I'm a massive fan, but she's not playing that ukulele, it's just used as a pose and a nod to Marilyn Monroe. I can play the guitar and ukulele and she isn't even changing chord shapes throughout the whole song.
@@MrDiddyDee shes not even singing let alone playing the ukulele
I love the squeeze box
CLASS ACT
I love Kate but, once you've heard the Shatner version of this song, it's the only one you can hear, in your head. Ha ha.
ROCK IT MAN
I'm gonna be.. high: as a *KITE*. By then....
it`s a nice version
That guy on the drums is brillant!
Check out the version by Maynard James Keenan (singer from Tool)!
who's the stud playing the accordion?
NICE!
this kicks elton's butt!
Del Palmer is on bass...
Anyone who knows if that's Peter Gabriel holding the accordion around Kate? Can't find any info about them being there together, but it sure looks like him?
Cornelia Österlund it’s Del Palmer
No, no! Del is playing the bass guitar ;)@@richardd2399
No, it isn't Peter, but I am not sure of the musician's name and is the same gentleman who plays with her in the music video.
Kate Bush is second to none when she came back after a twelve year absence a a lot of her fans were dissapionted it was said by critics that Kate lost the plot I highly dissagree Kate is still brilliant
Christ almighty...if appearance had anything to do with it, I'd say she's absolutely gorgeous!!
Kate Bush is God
@nootaramus One of the best comments I've read! Agree whole heartedly! :D
Anybody know where I can find a copy of this ????
kieron white The Album Two Rooms...its on Spotify....

KATE DOES IT SO MUCH BETTER THAN ELTON JOHN. I LOVE KATE!!!
Yes
Confession, as an impressible teenager at the time I would have loved to play squeezebox
You tell 'em!
Who's playing bass???
What a woman!
Where can I buy the MP3 version of this? Its absolutely fabulous.
***** Hi. Thanks for the offer. I have already done that, but I wanted to buy a copy.

The original was very good but this is better which is a rare thing
