Me: "ooh that's a nice one."
Evan: "This one looks like ass"
V. John Nguyen 😂😂, that’s pretty much explain my photography.
@@abelgreeve3641 haha I hear you, makes me wonder about mine too.
it's me
Exactly!🤣
I miss living in Atlanta. Love this channel. Top 5 people to watch
The shoot was worth it just for the two men in the puddle reflection shot. The video was VERY VERY encouraging as it makes us feel better about the days we work hard to get a creative shot for hours and come home with very little. Thanks for posting this video.
love that 1st shot. seemed superimposed and it felt very graphical.
I love that second photo.. the photo of the building in the puddle with the different lights at the top! Very cool!
I liked the umbrella being by itself on the ground
I dig very very much 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I love the photo of the umbrella, would look great in a square crop!
The photo you thought was missing something wasn't. That photo dope
Thank you for doing these when it's a struggle to get something good. Reassuring and inspiring to hear your honest self assessments.
Yo Evan, just want to let you know that you've got people like me here who do the "like first then watch" thing! Great episode as usual :))
New merch lets goooo!!!!!! Also, that Leica Q can really make some amazing shots!
Love your honesty! I'll have to do a street walk in that area the next time I'm in Atlanta. Nice job
I love the behind the scenes videos! Greetings from Argentina!
Nice shots👍
Dude your colors coming out of these edits are crazy!! Really dig that set 🔥
the umbrella and 2 person shadow photo are great!!
Behind the scenes 👍👍
Great stuff
Really digging this type of story photo, make this photo together and matching it really give me good vibes. Didn't realise the photo more stand up when u matching it with the other. Love ur work
Perfect start to the weekend :)
Nice work!
Love that the balance is tilting more towards people than city in your Street photography!! Stay brave and keep going!! ;) - Cheers from Greece!
love the behind the scenes videos
Rainy day puddles! I'm inspired.
Always a good day when an ER vid comes in my feed!
I LOVE this kind of video! So much fun and great to see how you do what you do.
In love with the pic at 4:47! Great job
Love those puddle photos and the gotham city part was funny 🤣
Dude! Love the layers in that umbrella/stop sign shot. That’s a great find. I’d look at that one again.
this is like a one person shooter Shooter. Awesome
Loved almost all the photos. Thanks!
Not that I don't appreciate the other content you've been putting out, but it's nice to see you get back to your bread and butter behind the scenes videos :)
Heyyy I love this video and the rainy photos!!! Cool!!!
Good looking sunglasses!
pretty decent images
Love it! Watching your videos always pushes me to go out and shoot!
Man, that window being out, just imagining a super car at that light in the dark. That would be dope.
Love these walkthroughs man 📸
Any small film makers wanna support each other?!!??
Love the video as always Evan!
Eric & Myles emotional support for sure 🙋🏻♀️
Small photographers too?? Pretty please?? 😅😅😅🤝🤝🤝
Meee
Great video Evan. I understand what you're saying about the reflection puddle photos being cliche' ... but I still like them. Keep up the great work brother.
Good Stuff!
Nice photo & preset
Evan, you is the man. Always the best Nike kicks. We are not worthy. :-)
So excited to see your photo book :) Awesome video as always! The audio on this one seems much clearer as well. Keep it up bro
The park sign fire.
Sorry but I had to laugh hard at 7:04 "Gosh that guy...Ken Nugent or whatever that dudes name is"
Love the whole professional, positive, creative, and uplifting attitude of you and your channel but this little twist was hilarious. You could've simply ignored him but you didn't haha :D
Keep it up. Love your content.
Love the lighting you get out of these, bravo sir🤘
Rain is on the way to my city as i type this. THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED MAN. Thanks for always coming through w/ that fire content dude. You are a real one
Thanks for the inspiration.
Fascintaing to see behind the scenes of your street photo's, I am really enjoying your channel, thanks Evan .. so much more useful for me than binge watching some Netflix tv series ;-)
My favourite kind of video. Thanks for sharing your process :)
The total video sums up in four words @ 5:45
Yes, kinda "floppy" session but we all been there, not Evan fault
Dude.... amazing pics. Thank you for sharing
I've planned an October trip to Sacramento to see if I can channel my inner Evan Ranft. Wish me luck. 🐼✌️
good luck 😊
Well... how did it go?
Really liked seeing the shots you didn’t like, helped put things in perspective and understand more how you work, some solid shots, and another dope video man! 💯
I love this. It really accurately portrays the particular challenges of street photography, namely the difficulty in nailing a perfect shot when the elements in front of camera are beyond your control. Really admire your willingness to share the images that you weren’t happy with. However, those two reflection shots made it all worthwhile.
Who else wants to travel to Atlanta to do some street photography?
Can you do a test of a entry level of a Pentax dslr. In a rainy day street photography by getting the camera wet on the rain while doing street photography and maybe do some long exposure during the rain also.
always inspiring Evan! Keep it up!
Please start shipping your merch to Europe/Germany. I love the merch 😍
Same here! 🇩🇪
+1
Dude! The underground park sign!! Also the intros are fire these days. It's sick to see the process as usual. Been to Atlanta on tour about 500 times, but you always make it look incredible. Much love to ya man.
Your framing 👏🏼👏🏼
So excited when I get your upload notification!
You should look up the artist Kiripi Katembo if you’re interested in puddle reflection shots! He was an African artist who utilized reflections in puddles to talk about the daily life in his home town of Kinshasa as well as the changes happening there and pollution. Really beautiful surreal like images that look painterly as well!
Love a good wet down for 📸📸📸
lol I love how you were thinking about which camera to pick....
Very helpful to see the thought process as you were taking photos. Thank you!
What always surprises me is how few people there are out and about when your photographing in the city
You got me on this video! I Subbed
Interesting what you said about the Leica's focal length, Ive been using a 50mm on my camera for 3 years as its my only lens but sometimes it feels really restrictive when doing 'street photography' being so close up all the time. Might have to invest in an x100f or similar
Finally, Leica has another new customer for the M System (:
I seen that you were set to f/8 on your lens? what mm was that lens? If you don't mind me asking what is your typical camera setting when your out walking around?
Love those photos so much! I really need to set my goals right! Thanks for keeping us interested Evan =)
I think the photo in 10:36, if it's a rainy night with all the rain drops on the window, then do a long exposure with all the car light. It would be so dope
Thorsten Overgaard once said the Leica Q will make you want more Leica’s. That is how it all starts. LOL
Hope you do beanies. I'm off the grid a lot out here in Utah ( shooting of course) and fall/ winter on the way!
The umbrella picture was a nice idea... could have cropped it to isolate the umbrella. I wonder why you didn't. Same for the one with the walgreens to the right... near the end of the video. I thought that was such a cool shot; I think cropping that walgreens to the right could have added balance to that image. Just my two cents. Awesome vid as always.
Haha, I knew you were gonna pick the Leica in the beginning. I might be getting one tomorrow : )
As a self proclaimed intermediate novice almost photographer 😉 I enjoy these type of videos that show how amazing photographers work through making photos. Showing how, just like me, you see something and think it will make an amazing shot but it doesn't quite work out how you planned. Idk about others but that can be very discouraging for a beginner because you feel like you dont have the "eye" for making great photos. When you may have a great eye, but the situation may not be right. So again, love the video. Love your work. BTW will there ever be patches/appliques in the merch shop? 😊
What do you think about xh1 AF?
man can you ship to all over the world🔥♥
I thought all of the pictures were pretty awesome. My favorite ones were with the shadows in the rain puddles.
This topis is always my favorite one
Just snagged some merch!
Ordered a shirt, will wear in Hotlanta when there shooting in a couple weeks (I’m only 2.5 hours away!)
Not to throw shade but I prefer your videos over Peter McKinnons. I feel like I relate to you more. And I like how you do your videos.
Hi may I ask which camera backpack you’re used in this video?! Looks so good 😊
love the video . i like the colors and tone of the man holding umbrella , its like film vibe . how do you post process that mate ?? thanks . thumbs up 😊
I would really want you to try WCL (wide angle conversion lens) for X100F. It converts 35mm to 28mm which is exactly the case for Leica Q. I'm really enjoying the WCL and I really want to hear your opinion on this!
Nice reflections and color. The two guys in suits shot was cool, but it would be good to get in front of people for expressions and emotions, don't worry about being noticed.
Holy shit I love the thumbnail!
Together with the two puddle shots I rather like the one at 10.40, which you weren't so keen on. BTW, where did you learn to rabbit so rapidly?
So I must ask, what Lens did you use in this video for the stills?
Or do you change Lens as you walk around?.... Never mind the video is near the end lmao
What about switching to a Leica q-2? It has 50mp and crop modes so you can get diff focal lengths and pretty good resolution. I.e. 35mm crop mode is 24mp
How to shoot lighting strikes thunderstorms pls
Wearing some nice headphones I'm really noticing the reverb on your voiceover. Never heard it before ha, pretty cool, sounds like you're in a tunnel or something.
Great final shots, but why the square crop?
I hope one day i hope to see you on the Georgia state campus to say hi 😂
Hey Evan, do you ship to UK?
