One habit I developed and incorporated into my daily routine since watching your channel was the hot debrief. Not sure if that's the exact term but it's the one you mentioned Pep did for Sterling where he made him reflect on what he did during the game and what he had to improve on going forward instead of allowing him to celebrate the victory city had. Another habit is to watch a lot of self improvement videos and videos about the body and mind, that way I always work towards knowing myself more so I can reach my goals easier and understand what's good for my aims and what is not
Another phrase you should remember while making sacrifices is thinking about your future self. With every bad decision you make. Your future self’s life will be slightly worse. And those bad choices compound overtime. And sooner. Or later. You will become your future self
Habit 1 (1:24) : Make Recovery Your Best Friend (p.e. Cristiano Ronaldo by making it a priority even when in the days of success) Habit 2 (2:47) : Intense Personal Sacrifice (p.e. Bradley Wiggins) Habit 3 (6:15 and 6:56) : Self Reflection (p.e. Kevin de Bruyne by hiring a data analytics firm to help him understand his impact on the specific team)
I became a writer at age 61 in Bogotá, Colombia. It has been my way to overcome adversity, to reencounter with myself, to protest elegantly...and reach the World 🌍 The Venezuelan immigrant writer 🇻🇪
Finally someone made a video about this. Im a pro footballer and if it werent for all the recovery work i wouldnt be able to perform at 60% of my capabilities since we train about 4 hours a day. Good sleep and recovery (massage, foam roll, ice bath, physio etc) is like taking steroids, its fantastic how a bit from everything can make you fully recovered the day after
#2 is by far one of the most powerful things out of all of these tips. I started training at 16 relentlessly, never missed a day for the first 2 years. Rode my mums bicycle there and back no matter sun, storm, rain or winds. 6 years later still going strong and all the people that thought I took steroids, believe it even more now than ever😂. Keep goin lads, make them think you did the impossible. After all possibilities are only mindsets, you could be the one right mindset away from your next major move! 🌐✌️
This is such a great video. I had been slacking off in both sports and academics as a high school junior, and this instantly motivated me to work harder. My dream is to get recruited one day in college, hopefully I'll achieve that. Thanks so much for the advice!!
You're exactly right. The second greatest college wrestler EVER is Dan Cable. He lost his last match in his college career. He was so good, there is a move named after him called the Gable Grip. He stated, "You have to work on your recovery as hard as you work on your work out." He was the wrestling coach at the U of Iowa when I was there in the 80's. Other college wrestling coaches did not think it was fair that Iowa kept dominating. The ALL Time Great College Wrestler of ALL Time is Cael Sanderson who was undefeated as a college wrestler. What I find interesting is that both men went to Iowa State U. PEACE
When i was a teen it was never ever about following or fitting in... I went out partying because i loved dancing so much. Not everyone is a pack animal.
Feels like my old man wrote the script for this video 😂 he’s told me all these things for years and I’m barely 18 so since a young age he’s never been the nicest but always the realest and I’m glad I was brought up that way, amazing videos brother !!!
I'm a footballer and i struggle with my video game addiction, are there any alternatives for freetime, and yes i practice individually and with my team every single day.
There's infinite possibilities. A big thing to think about is finding activities that are 'restorative' rather than 'draining' i.e. what things can help you rebuild your energy rather than use it up. This varies person-to-person but can include things like reading, going for walks, creative outlets like drawing, doing puzzles. You can also use more of your free-time for additional recovery work like stretching/yoga etc
I think the recovery is the most important, is so underrated to have a good night of sleep or a good diet. If everyday you are a bit less tired, you will have a lot of advantages in the practice. And the last one is very important and I see few people talking about, and more important to know where you have to be better, is how, and do a little everyday to accomplish your goals. You should do a video about goals, and how important is to think always in your big goal!!! But your videos are amazing I love it!!
Ronald is such a professional that despite all the money he has accumulated he has disciplined him self to steeer clear of temptations like alcohol, drugs....junk foods.... Amazingly his skin is tattoo free🤭
at his age most definitely recovery would be number 1 for him I highly doubt it was his priority in his early years. He has near mastered his position where experience would complement if not exceed his skill so he is able to do this, prioritising your recovery and training is best for almost all athletes
how to improve as a footballer if you are playing with big brothers who dont give you respect and also ball, they rule the field and i dont get my favourite position (right winger or attacking mid ) and also i should pass the ball instantly after getting it from tackling opponent. My growth is in danger how to solve ths problem ?
It can be tough when you're playing with older siblings who may not give you the respect or opportunities you deserve. You can try to communicate with your brothers and express your desire to play in your preferred positions. If they understand your passion, they might be more willing to give you a chance. Additionally, you should focus on honing your skills in all positions, not just as a right winger or attacking midfielder. Becoming versatile will make you a valuable asset to any team. Keep pushing forward and never give up! 💪
To improve your shooting accuracy, focus on your body positioning and balance before taking a shot. Practice maintaining a stable stance and keeping your eye on the ball to reduce the chances of shooting the air.
Great video. Also, we seem to live in a time, thanks to social media, where people think they can achieve everything without putting the work. This leads to entitled behavior, and sonetimes can lead to people sacrificing others to get what they want so they won't have to put in the work themselves
Swimming aids recovery for athletes due to its low-impact nature, which reduces stress on joints and muscles, promoting active recovery. Additionally, the buoyancy of the water provides gentle resistance, helping improve circulation and flush out metabolic waste, which can expedite the healing process.
Habit 1 is just for your brain. "work" and "recovery" are two things that don't work well together. The number 1 recovery technique is laying on your couch and sleeping. That is not that stretching or mobility work do not have a positive benefit, but they are still work for your body not recovery.
Good information, in spite of the title. The "INSTANTLY" come-on almost prevented me from watching this, because nothing worthwhile is instant. A contradion to the message itself.
Thanks for your feedback. I always think deliberately about titles and never intend to mislead. From my personal experience the things I talk about in the video have led to instant improvements for me. For example, after initially incorporating stretching (recovery) after my morning run, I instantly felt less soreness/tightness the very next day. I can see your point though and hope you can get value out of other videos on the channel 🙂 thanks
Then there are some people like Ronaldinho🇧🇷...Dude has won everything. He partied all night, got drunk, got laid, slept whole day, took shower before match and did magic in pitch.
Some people just naturally got it 😅 sadly the thing with Ronaldinho was that he was pretty much washed up and done at around 30. Time catches up with those who don't take care of themselves
I'm sure Lionel Messi doesn't do everything what you've stated in your findings. Some people are just talented regardless. Some people don't have to study 1 week for a test but I do. I put in more work and effort studying and get 80-85% but they get a 90-95% studying the night before so your finding are a bit misleading and very easy to debate.
I don't reject that some people are of course more talented than others. This was a video just about 3 uncommon things to help people get better as individuals i.e. elevate their own game/progress/development How's that misleading?
@@SamMartinPeakPerformance the point about making personal sacrifice and not drinking or going out during important developmental years and just dedicating all your time to your craft is so crucial, more kids need to hear that.
