- I honestly was not expecting to LOVE not by the moon this much! And also, why are their TVs all so DAMN pretty??? They can sing, dance, look good, dress good, sell emotions, MV production looks amazing. What can they NOT do??? Full package. I cannot wait to see GOT7’s rumored come back in May!!

and I also think Eclipse is more on about overcoming self doubt or the things that bring someone down because during the time that they are promoting these song I see and felt like they are pressured by their own expectations something like that. you can feel that something is bothering and them and wanted to express to the fans that even behind the darkness they feel they still wanted to overcome it💚

You Are is the song that GOT7 released in 2017 under the album 7 FOR 7. This song, this album means a lot to the fandom. 2017 is the years where Jackson established Team Wang in China. he also terminated his contract for japan promotion so that he can focus on Team Wang when the group was doing Japan promotion. he was facing a lot of backlash back then. it was a very tough time for him and for the group. chinese fans keep asking Jackson to leave the group to promote in china, some hater especially in korea keep telling him to leave the group if he wanted to build a company to promote in his home country. the situation left the fandom in fear, fear of Jackson actually leaving the group. 7 FOR 7 means, there's only GOT7 when there's 7 of them. You Are is that song where they assure their fans that no matter what happened, what decision they made, all 7 of of them will stay together as GOT7. they need no other than their fandom. if you read Jackson's verse in You Are, it has a very deep meaning. Jackson once told the fandom that it's okay if they stan another groups, it's okay be a multi-fandom fans, but when GOT7 is back, it's time to come home. January 2021, all of the members officially left JYPE, all of them signed with different agencies. they assured their fandoms that they will make a comeback as GOT7 despite each of them in different agencies. a lot of people was skeptical. Because whenever a group has a member signed in different agency, it was almost impossible for them to make a comeback as full member. let alone all members in different agencies like GOT7. but GOT7 prove them right when they released ENCORE few months later. trust me when i said the fandom was crying in relief when ENCORE came out. no one expected that comeback would be so soon. After leaving JYPE all of the members slowly announced which label they will signed under, the last one was Jay B. he's like a father for the members, he make sure all of his child have a proper home before he get a home for himself. he took care of all the legal papers for GOT7, hence why they can own the name, the song, the social media acc etc after leaving JYPE. 7FOR7 is not a mere album for the fandom, it's a promise. it means a lot for the fandom
I just want to say that Never Ever is one of the best songs that GOT7 has performed in a concert hall I swear 💚💚💚 with fanchant in the beginning 💯

You are is the first title track that Jay B has wrote and tbh, all 7 for 7 album is amazing. Teenager is also written by Jay B and i feel like you're going to enjoy it. I agree with you on songs written by Yugyeom & Youngjae but I think Yugyeom's best song written for GOT7 is 1°. The lyrics wow mind blown. As for Youngjae, I think his best SONG written for GOT7 is Nobody Knows (even though he sings solo).
I watched the interview with Jackson when he said that and I think he was more so talking about his personal journey. If you look at Jackson's earlier solo music it was very trendy but not very personal. He has tried so many different styles with his solo music but he says that his Magic Man album will be the rawest and most honest music he has put out. Of course, there is an element of commercial control with kpop music and a lot of songs that were produced and just given to the group but they have all written and produced songs for the group which usually are the ones fans love the most. All Ahgase know Got-7 b-sides are gems because they are not so commercially focused as the title tracks. Their comeback in May will be the first time that they have complete creative control. I am so interested to see how they show their true colors as a group.

They are in Hong Kong for You Are MV. Hong Kong is Jackson's home. You Are celebrated their friendship and brotherhood as Got7! Mark suggested they make necklaces for each member which they did. Each necklace has a symbol representing each member. The necklaces also represented their friendship and brotherhood. You Are is the title song on their 7 for 7 album. Also Bambam made the You Are MV. Bambam does video editing etc as a hobby and he is so good at it.

I think GOT7's music is quite different compare to general kpop we used to listen, they're tend to be on the RnB style. I believe it's influenced by the music genre they hear and reflected in songs GOT7 made by JayB (Def) or Jinyoung or Youngjae (Ars).
Btw, if you loves Jay B voice as much as I do, please try to see Def. - Sunset With You and his album Love. I love Def slightly over my love to JayB 🤭

I think you need to watch a live version of Never Ever, a concert version with fanchants.. I loved Never Ever more after hearing it live, that's usually how it is with GOT7.. It's also part of a storyline, the Flightlog Trilogy.. Departure - Fly, Turbulence - Hard Carry and Arrival- Never Ever.. All the MV's have a trailer connected with them, and then there's a explanation video too if you're interested 😉💚

Eclipse is the title song for Spinning Top album. They then did a World Tour with Spinning Top in 2019. The last one then Covid happened. I saw them in Dallas TX for the first time and the concert was so fun and so amazing. Best time ever!

Thank you for this reaction! To be honest, ahgases also don't know what to expect from the group. Each of them have different colors and since they have been releasing their solo songs that are really different from each other, it's really hard to know what to anticipate. And also, the four songs you've mentioned are really good. They also have Japanese discographies (Love Loop and I Won't Let You Go) that are also amazing. Thank you again and 'til the next one!

I think Jackson was talking about the fact that Got7 couldn't freely do the music they wanted to do when they were under JYP, the members especially Jay B wrote a lot of songs that were rejected by their label. Kpop groups under big agencies have a lot of pressure to get results so it's not always about what kind of music the artists want to release but more about what the public want to buy. Bambam's hit «Slow mow» for exple was written by Got7 and got rejected. That being said the members wrote a lot of songs who got released too like Not by the moon, You are, Teenager, (JB), Breath ( Youngjae), Love you better, I am me ( Jinyoung)...so I don't think they were only doing commercial songs or things they were forced to sing. What Jackson stated has also a lot to do with the idol's image when you are under a big company there are things you can't sing or do. I am glad that Jackson feels more free now, his last song «Blow» for exple shows a way more sexy side of him. Being a solo artist comes with more artistic freedom, if you follow Got7 solo work since they left their company you can clearly see that each member has his own music style and vibe that's why I can't wait for Got7's comeback !

The first time I heard Never Ever, I felt the same way. It felt a little busy. I didn't listen to it for a whole year. "You Are" and "The New Era" is my favorite got7 song till now. And eclipse choreography is the best I've ever seen. I think all of got7's choreography is very unique and cool. No doubt they are the best in performance.
Always interesting to see whether a first time listener likes Never Ever or not - I didn't realize until recently how divisive it is lol. It's my personal favorite (but I guess I'd say that to most of their songs).

I am obsessed with GOT7. I love every single member. Their voices are amazing and they are absolutely GORGEOUS. I love them as a group and I also love each of their solo works and units. Thank you for this reaction! I love your honesty! It's okay, Never Ever isn't my fav track either lol. I just wanted to point out that the triangles in the You Are mv are actually necklaces that all the members have and it forms their logo when put together. During this time, Jackson had just established his own label "Team Wang" so there were a lot of rumours going around that he was going to leave the group but they released this song and the album's called "7 for 7' and each member took part in writing and the producing the songs on it. It was their way to reassuring fans they were "7 or nothing" as Jackson likes to say.

GOT7 have been one of my top groups for years(mainly because of Youngjae), but I have one MAJOR gripe with them. Youngjae and JayB are BOTH main vocals, yet Youngjae usually gets a line or two in the chorus and a little ad-libbing at the end. Youngjae has one of the absolute BEST voices EVER, and is totally underused. That's why I liked their year of solo work so much. I actually got to hear Youngjae.

In the past one of the problems we (fans and even got7 mentioned in some lives in the past) had with the ex-company was that some of their title songs didn't show their true color (sound), Eclipse had a lot of changes in the lyrics, sound, etc. And the original song was so much better but JYP asked Jay B to change it like 10 times, JS mentioned in an interview that his favorite song from that album was Eclipse, but the original versions without the intervention of JYP, however most of the members mentioned that they wanted Page as the tittle, but it got rejected. I recommend you to check their performance of Page is soooooo good!!! Another song we all feel like GOT7 color is Teenager.

lol yeah with GOT7 it is a case of you need to rewatch them over and over and then their live performances too, to see the full dances and by the time you realised you've found what you were looking for, you are hooked on them.
Never Ever is my fave of their songs (followed by You Are) but the song and MV are actually part of a trilogy. Watch Fly, Hard Carry and Never Ever after each other. And I'd suggest including their teaser videos too (in order with the MVs). Its a whole story. and THEN look up fan theories for Flight Log trilogy. When I first read it and realised I was devastated.
Your list for the next reaction video sounds great but you should also do a series for their Japanese MVs too.

I would not be annoyed if you pause and back the video because it only means you are paying attention to every detail. I really love how honest you are because that how should it be. Mostly, the reactors that I've seen so far only say good things because they are afraid to the backfire. But in your terms you explain why you are not into in that music and etc. along with saying it in a good way, that's why I love your honesty.
