This episode felt like the writers were using it as an opportunity to bring out Lesson Zero Twilight one last time before the finale.

I think the joke on Derpy being locked out goes back to "Slice of Life"when she locked the main six out of the wedding. As for the episode- Big step back for Twilight. This and "2 4 6 8...." left me cold on TwiDash. Pinky and the cheer squad didn't need to go thru all that.

I loved this ep, it's just so damn fun. But does show that, yeah it's time the show ends, because we are at the point just, simple, silly, just for fun eps like this where the ponies go nuts are getting harder and harder to pull off without getting a ton of flack for stuff.

When Sunburst was introduced i thought i was going to ship him with Starlight. Now I kinda low key ship him with Twilight there both book worm nerds. There kinda cute together
You know that when a certain Derpy fan does his Sins of this channel, he's going to have major sins for Derpy being blocked from the building.
Twilight being the smart nerd she is should have known not taking a trivia game super seriously and playing it for fun gives the optimal balance of serotonin and dopamine reduces stressful adrenaline and puts the brain in the "zone." If she had just known that common sense to anyone who knows how the brain works fact; her OCD nature wouldn't have led her to stab her Pinkie and Sunburst their backs.
All these facial expressions makes me think of the .MOV series

This episode was a bit of a chore to get through, mostly because it's gotten to the point where I just can't stand Twilight anymore. But I loved Mudbriar's line at 16:40. It's like, roast that princess, Mudbriar. XD

Weekly, as AJ seems to suggest, by saying that something was a category last week, or yearly, because if it isn't yearly, why does Twilight care so much about 3 wins in a row? I mean it's only 3 weeks she's wasting and she can easily repeat it later, also, if it's weekly, would Sunburst really care so much about it, to drive there all the way from the crystal empire?
Also, in the question about Zap apples, Twilight for whatever reason, was waiting for Pinkie to answer, even tho I think, she knew the answer herself, is there a rule, about it? There can't be , because Cranky was sleeping troughout half of the game, before he was disqualified, and didn't answer any questions, Was Twilight trying to be a "good friend" by letting Pinkie answer the question, if so, that was an incredibly dumb way to go about it, when she saw, that Pinkie can't remember, she should have answered herself and let her answer a question, that Pinke actually knew the answer to, for example the one about cupcakes.

There were PLENTY of ways this could've worked WITHOUT making Twilight be NOT who she should be by now.
They actually made me disgusted by her during this.
That's two episodes in a row where they've HORRIBLY regressed a character just to create a problem in the first place, instead of trying something different that would make sense!
Aside from that, everything else is pretty good.
Still, thank Celestia next episode is SO much better. I don't think I could stand a third episode in a row of that.
I really piss off Twilight in this episode too, and they make Pinkie look like a complete idiot in this episode. I hate this episode more than 2,4,6, Greeat, also I don't get it why people like this episode and hate Daring Doubt like madman; for me that episode is so much better than this episode.
Season 8 did gave us three bad episodes in a roll, that is Father Known Beast and School Raze. Thank god, Best Gift Ever saved season 8 reputation.

Twi wtf I agree with Spike this is a whole new level of Twilighting. Twi, I'm sorry, but as someone who is a very sensitive person, I completely understand where Pinkie is coming from. She is well within her rights to sass you. You were so rude and inconsiderate to Pinkie, and as someone who has been in her position before, that really really hurts. Especially if you have very sensitive feelings.
This and the previous episode definitely felt like the low point of the season, I hope things pick back by the end.

This is literally the worst MLP episode I've ever seen. I do enjoy a good "Twilighting" when it's played for comedy's sake, but here it's just so painful to watch Twilight once again lose her mind over nothing and treat Pinkie horribly - IN THE FINAL SEASON. What the hell were the writers thinking!?
