“I have a very specific set of skills, they are diminishing but very specific!” Funniest thing I have heard in a while, I’m at that point in life as well! 😂
Brian Sonne is like Steve Martin……“Wild and Crazy Guy”. I am 71 years old and I am empathic with Brian. So what was OUR “song of the day” ? Did I miss it? Brian you have us spoiled!
Not a rancher/farmer. I find your videos very educational. Thanks for posting 3 times a week.
thanks!
Thank you for recording your days and allowing us to come along. It is just wondeful!!
Cole, I was impressed with how clean your cattle trailer was! Good job! Brian is SO FUNNY asking “Who you talking to? “
What a job Cole, you and Dad do together. The new ways of mobile gates makes the job so much faster and safer.
Cole, thanks for taking the time to film and edit and present this body of work. Everyone appreciates it, though most probably don't express it. You find great camera angles and keep it interesting. I can tell you've searched for (and bought) many camera mounts. When I get my airboat running again, I want to cover it with cameras so I can get entertaining footage of trail riding thru the swamp, lake, & river in the back yard - inspired by your filming efforts. You farm ideas in the fields of viewer's minds.
Brian, thanks for putting up with Cole's time wasting activity of talking to a dang camera like a dang fool. You add a lot to the presentation with your dry (so dry it's often dusty as a dried up raccoon corpse) but still valuable and adds to the show. Never stop being.
Wives, thanks for putting up with the jackassery of these two, surely (by the quality of the finished product) there is time spent editing by someone. Whether it's by a wife or by a character (and I do mean characters!!!) it means time away from a relationship, so thanks for putting up with that. Stay strong.
Brian, Check out a song called RAMBLE TAMBLE by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It starts out rough and crass sounding then mellows out for the middle before returning to the crass sound to end it. Pretty good song and worthy of a song of the day the way it mentions 'mortgage on the car' and other topics.
You two worked your biscuits off! What an awesome team you two are, always leaves me so impressed with how organized you are and you get in there, do what you gotta do and that task is done. Love your videos. Love how you show the machinery and what it takes to maintain it, having it working and showing us how it works. Thanks for the great videos. ❤❤
thanks!
Your dad cracks me up!!! Absolutely love watching you two work together. You two have an amazing relationship together. Thank you for doing all that you do and sharing it with everyone to enjoy!!!
Since the videos are usually up a little after they are filmed it would be cool at the start if each video to have a date. Just to know roughly how to compare harvest times and so on.
As always great video and greetings from Germany
You don't normally think of two men as a crew but you two do the work of a crew.
thankyou!
Hello Cole. I got notified by Farmers Grade that a limited amount of Angus Beef from Sonne Farms would be available for preorder. I was able to get my order placed for a box. Thanks for the notifying everyone about the offer and the site.
Thank you Cole and Dad Brian good to see you both.God bless you all.
You guys are amazing! Working those cattle looks like a ballet. So smooth!
A good tip for those portable corrals is to chain the panels to a truck. That way if you have a cow go under and push it won't knock you down with the panel.
I kept wondering who would have to poop first, cows or Cole!!! Made me laugh, love the videos!
Glad you got your cattle vaccinated and sprayed. Glad you got your rye planted. Take Care and Be safe on the farm. Out
thanks Ronald
You’re a hoot, Cole. Feeling the rumblings was all over your face. 😂
A couple cows in the second pasture were eyeing the gap as you closed the coral.
Cole looking worried: "Dad we have a gap"
Brian standing in the gap: "I am the fence"
Another great video about Sonne Farms! You two have a great relationship & that’s a rarity. I look forward everyday to watching Cole’s entertaining ideas. Brian adds another level of humor which everyone enjoys. Thanks Cole & Brian & blessings to Sonne Farms!
Your videos calm me and give me peace. In a crazy evil world it’s great to escape to a place where life is normal, features hard work, values and belief in God! I love your family and your farm. Thanks for sharing with us your slice of heaven. Much love!
Well said and much appreciated!
Awesome video Cole and Mr. B..good luck tomorrow
Nice to see you working with the cattle. Rye is a good cover crop. Always appreciate your content. Be safe working on the farm. Out
You and your father work well together. You get the job done and you enjoy each other's company. Here is hoping that you can get harvesting sooner rather than later.
You do a great job with your videos. Learn a lot from them. Your dad has a cool sense of humor!
Ellie is so cute! Never a dull moment when you work cattle! We don't work as many as you guys do, but a guy has to be careful none the less. Good work filling and drilling the rye, like what your doing, thanks for sharing and I hope you all have a nice week!
When I was your age everything was easy, now it hurts just to think about doing something lol 😂
Really like watching you guys working cattle and your comment on it be dangerous , I got the snot stomped out by a cow when I was little . I think that's why I have always loved eating BEEF !
Saw Cole on another Channel up in Canada testing out new cattle handling equipment. Looks like he should have been giving the demonstration on how to use it. *grin* Wish you’d gotten that rain earlier in the year but I guess we have to take it when we can and be grateful ! Great video. Thanks !
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting for sure.
Nice job with your drill. I used to really enjoy running the drill. At your rate you should have a nice stand of rye I believe you said you drilled. Nice drill you have. Let’s see how it does.
My compliments to Brian and Cole for being excellent herdsmen. You did a great job of rounding the cattle up and doing their medicine and such. Not the easiest to do in an open field. That portable corral you have is great and the four wheelers.
Nice work Brian and Cole.
Going to start harvest you said next day. Be careful. Ground is wet. Larsons got a combine stuck already. Be careful.
Good idea to wear your knee brace when working cattle. Good going Cole.
About it for now. Thanks for everything Sonne’s. Take care and be safe.
Thanks. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Brilliant teamwork Brian and Cole 😊
You know it brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat when I see youbtwo working together brings back old memories of my dad and I. I was raised up in centrally Illinois. We had black Angus cattle to beautiful animals . Keep up the great videos really enjoy them keep safe out there God bless yous
thankyou
Hey guys thanks again for the video people really get to see how hard farmers work like a gentleman posted earlier he wasn't a farm or rancher I'm not either but I sure do like watching y'all's videos I used to work with my dad when I was younger and it's good to see father and son working so good together thank you for the video keep them coming your friend Billy from Tennessee
excellent thanks!
Bless you both for all the hard work you do for all us ! 👍😀
Good job, buddy, have a good and safe day and God bless you.
You 2 are good Honda cowboy. Great father / son team. Hope you have a great harvest. Be safe !!
Always something to do. Love watching.👍❤️🇨🇦
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
"That's me in a little bit..." woehahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I come in from fixing fence for lunch. Here I am watching you. Go figure.
Good people with sound decision making.🌟🌟😊😊👏👏
Hello, Hello! I’m here Brian, just cause you can’t see me! I’m here, you’re just going to have to trust in that.
Great video keep them coming.
Enjoyed watching the video Cole and Brian 😊
Can't WAIT TO buy your BEEF!! Got all signed up today. Yeah C'mon!!
Enjoy your video Cole and Dad on the farm .
Great video 👍😊👍
Cole I’ve had three knee surgeries on the same knee first one in my early 30’s I’m now 62 and yes don’t take any chances with your knee old age and arthritis will do enough damage to it all by itself. If you start losing range of motion don’t just accept it work on it daily and don’t let yourself gain weight that will just exasperate the problem. It sucks getting old! Flag looks good.
I love the flag flying-very cool.
Amazing all you do with only 2 of you!
Love your video. We have a ranch west river…… love to watch what your doing. Also praise you for the calm atmosphere around the cattle. 👍🏻
absolutely
Love the flag ❤
#2:57 FAQ:
As i would like to know where is the sun 😎?
It seems a bit foggy to me ... 😂
Great video 👍😊👍
Cooee Brain, were over here! 👋
You do get a workout setting up and breaking down that Arrowquip unit. That cattle trailer looks pretty sharp; you must have power washed the hell out of it. Great video as always.
Cows are looking real good/ i can see winter bar bq not far off porterhouse my fav hint hint😂😂😂 have a great week
Diminishing skills... I hear ya Brian, I hear ya.😐 But you still got it!
Thank you for sharing this with us
I am sure getting a education on south dakota lately. Yesterday I watched the best towns in south dakota.
Another very interesting video Thank you 😊😊😊😊😊
Keep up the great videos. Awsome stuff.
I enjoy his videos, he has a great personality
Excellent work Brian,Cole fun drilling in the fall. Cattle look great they can be wild but yous know what your doing. Have a great day
Bet that it’s a pain to wear the knee brace, but surgery is much worse. Your doing good love your life.
Great video as always Cole
Good video, You and Brian make working cattle, look easy.
Thanks Brain for putting up with us an COLE talking to each other!! Yes Cole take care of those knees and QUIET lifting those coral tires with the hub and axels 😢.
I love your guys humor, it's always top notch!!😂
THanks!!
Great one, you'll be setting up wind breaks before you know it. I liked Brians Liam Neeson reference, my skills are diminishing too, when your young you never think it's going to happen and then it does.
Oh my goodness those calls were giving you a fifth warranty lol great job getting it done I can see how that could be frustrating at sometimes your rock ‘n’ roll. Thanks guys.
GOOD JOB BOYS!
Calves look great! Can't wait to see what look they like again when you wean them.
I am flabbergasted at the number of flies I saw, even in October. Wow.
Awesome video guys. 🚜🚜🚜
Hope harvest starts tomorrow! Cows are lookin good❤❤❤
We finally got rain, 2.5" and I hopped on the tractor to disc and plant the winter pasture, 8 acres! Whoopee! compared to your operation, just a hobby. I really like your porta-chute, cool.
Best line of the day “That’s me in a bit “ lol.
awsome video cole thumbs up and shared
Song of this video, Jailbreak by ACDC...
Hey, the video looks amazing. You changed something. Cool
The sounds and visuals of cole a little bit later 😵💫
I'm in North Florida, so some things are willing to grow over winter. I overseed my goat pastures with annual ryegrass (not cereal rye) for winter and spring grazing. About time to do it for this year.
Now that comment about “that’s me in a little bit” was funny but you had to hear the first part. Great content I love watching you and your dad as that is very close to me and my boys.
Great looking calves
Nice wranglin' today, gentlemen ! 👍
Glad that young bull didn't come over top of the corral on you Cole. Can't wait for the next video.
Nice video.
Y'all make it look so easy. And a lot of it is because y'all work your cows a lot and it's pretty routine for yall to where we only work around 50 head a couple times a year.
I was only here for about 18 min of your day idk about anyone else
Sure enough looks like fun
Wow, so many parts to a portable corral. Btw, Ellie the dog is so cute, I hope she enjoyed her snack.
IT DID STOP THE PAIN LOL
Nice clean trailer, lol I know you can’t clean it every time lol, great job guys!😊👍
Hereford is awesome 😊❤
I use rye in my cattle pasture too. It is a great alternative to hay, and cheaper too. Just make sure you supplement hay as just rye gives them the runs.
They never go the way you want them to go!
Those are some fine looking beef guys.
We plant a quarter or 2 of rye every fall hay it in the beginning of June then plant beans right away works great....just north of you guys in Mobridge...so it would work for you also.....rye puts up a shit ton of bales/feed
how much of a yield drag does usually have compared to your earlier planted beans?
Good thing you wore your brace😂.
I need some nice long tillage videos. I like the tillage stuff 😊😊😊
I speak a little Bovine. They were saying that the song of the day is Rawhide by Frankie Laine. They were also singing some of the lyrics..."rollin' rollin' rollin'...keep those doggies rollin'..." And that Cole had some crap on his forehead. One of them has OCD and it drives him nuts! lol
it's it time for Cole to make future ranch hands, I think 10 Son's would work fine
