If you can survive 100 waves in a small map, you will clear the game.

You can design some non-logic core attached defend schematics then launch them at every wave defend sectors with about 2-3k ammo (use cheaper schematics for lower danger level and vice versa) and they will automatically defend (multiple of them play at once). for attack sectors, they can't be automated but you can use T1-T3 nova tree units to speedrun every low to hard sectors while all those wave def sectors are doing their things. Extreme sectors may need proper defend and T4 but you'll finish them easily if you've been playing for a while. Eradication sectors need actual strategy and knowledge in the game but there're a reasonable amount of them (very few) so you can search for strategy to conquer them one by one.
