Cold starts are the best moment of the day.... I sometimes put my GC8 Impreza in front of the garage to let it completely freeze up, start it on a Sunday morning, let it warm a bit a go for just a useless drive.... :) A very useful tip : when you work under the bonnet, use one of them silicon parts tray to place ratchets, screwdrivers and small parts on. Never let tools dwarf around the engine bay, they could be the start of a catastrophic damage.....
Brilliant video Adam. Car looks amazing and I'll sleep better knowing the paintwork under the wiper mechanism is cleaned and polished (even though no one will ever see it!). Top job!
Nice work & excellent attention to detail, cleaning / painting & those new bolts make such a difference, great fix on the handbrake. Tip, Silicone spray ( Screwfix or halfords ) is good for lubrication without been oily, also great for rejuvenating / protecting any rubber / plastic parts, gaiters, seals etc.
theres a place in Boro that rebuild alternators, starter motors etc....They are called Teesside start parts. Well worth a try, or a look for somewhere nearer that does alternator rebuilds. Just had one done for a civic type r, think it cost £60.....had loads done over the years......works mint.....never had a problem from them.
Another great video! In case no one else has said it, if it’s only the last letter that different on the part number then it’s probably the same part but just an earlier or later version. Earlier in the alphabet is an early part and later is a later part. It’s the part of the part number that changes with supercessions. 👍🏻
Wee tip when putting wheel nuts or bolts on start at 12 o'clock then 6 then 9 then 3 same with torquing them this will make sure the wheel is going on flush 👍
Awesome work. Love this series! All you need for that pin on the handbrake cable is a "clevis pin" and split pin to secure it. Saves you some money, and can be had easy online or in motor factors. *Edit* just saw you got a pin!

A bit of silicone spray would be better for those rubbers the engine oil will make them deteriorate and swell, clean them and redo it nice work mate love your ocd for detail 💪💪💪
Great content, got my fuel tank from Sierra R Us, trying to finish mine off XR4x4, using a 24v V6 Cosworth twin turbo out of the Granada Scorpio, great work thumbs up, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌
Top work Adam. Loving this project. Do you live near a hospital or police station or something? There seems to be sirens in the background in a lot of your videos (Not a complaint or a problem, just an observation).
Mate defo been my fav car and to be honest this is my dream car and watching u bring her bk to life mate is hugely inspiring to me. Keep it up the good work mate really enjoy it and ur journey. Many thanks from the sunny South 😎. Sid
Adam it's coming along nicely mate 👌. Can't wait to see it on the road and esp down at Paul's 😎.. I'm off to knockhill racetrack this sun 25th for the big Ford fair 😀. Defo see a load of old skool ford's . Tack care mate and keep the vids coming 👍😀
Don’t use oil on rubber parts mate, it’ll turn them to slime over time. You can use washing up liquid as lube for installing rubber bushes and grommets. That’s what I was advised years ago anyway 😅
I’m loving this series Adam! Your attention to detail is impressive mate. All that work for the handbrake button totally worth it and I would do the exact same thing! Where did you get your work light from please?
Enjoyable vlog Adam, keep up the good work. With regards to going under cars, it might be time to invest in a 1m portable scissor lift with a 3-ton capacity. They are around £1500 but I would see it as a long-term investment and looking after your back.
Had to sell my dream a5 due to being skint and having a baby but I loved going into deep cleaning like behind the wiper motor like you have carnt wait to get a new a5 some day to do it all again
The only thing that I can see that you could of done better mate! You should of power floated that garage floor 😂 looks a bit sharp on the old back, I’m only jealous pal I would love a garage like that 👌

It’s always weirdly satisfying shot blasting stuff
Coming along nicely, i love cleaning things up and replacing all those niggly broken bits, even if you can’t see them, lifts the car massively 👍🏻👏🏻
Been watching this since the start. It’s looking great.. ps. Changed days now from adjusting the wiper arm to cover the road tax disc 😉
Lol yeah I forgot we used to do that. 😂😂😂

Fun Fact: a 6 dial MKI Escort dash insert fitted nicely in the bottom of a cheap cantilever toolbox.
I miss those trips to the scrappies 😋

What spray you use for the black grill?
Mint all these little things makes it looks loads better

12:31 Personally I would have sprayed the scuttle black or treated the plastic with some Gtechniq C4 to match the the wiper arms.
It's coming together nicely and already looking a million dollars! Thumbs up!
There’s a Saphire Cosworth listed as breaking on eBay at the moment, advert is for a boot lid and has a lock fitted to it
I watch everyone on TH-cam car related but must admit your my favourite and this project I loving ❤️ keep the videos coming pal.

Love this channel
Always gives me a bit of motivation to get my own cars sorted when I watch these Adam 👌🏻
Do it Thomas😊👍🏼
Me too pal 👍
The best lubricant for rubber is brake fluid as callipers and have rubbers in them or red rubber grease. Oil will eat rubber.
This car is looking good now, well done Adam 😊.
Nice bit of resto mate loving the saph content 👌 👍
cool vid mate. I'd love a sand-blasting booth. The amount of stuff on my mk2 polo that needs sanding down and spraying is unreal 😂
Your car 🚗 knowledge is really good 👍 love your videos 📹

You're a legend pal! I'd love a cosworth. I'm down and out.your videos keep me moving. 1 day for me. Keep doing what your doing m8
Cheers fella 👍🏻
Nice one smithy lad. Should take it Jm imports when you finished for a mad tune
Great work , you should really start using etch primer on bare metal parts before paint
Your doing well with the cars Adam 👍.
I missed this vid, nice, love the way you make everything propa mint, did the same to my e36. Love it

The work lights are just cheap ones off Ebay
@@Adam151082 thanks for the reply fella. Appreciate it.
Great video 👏🏻
Excellent video bro
Etch primer on bare metal before paint. 😎
Cracking upload mate
Did you need a handbrake switch on the new handbrake assembly? This would be for the light on the dash showing the handbrake was on.
Agree with RS Jamie, Silicone wd40 etc excellent for rubber lubrication. Sticky window channels no problem.
Love your videos mate - proper hardwork and dedication- 🥳👍👏
Thanks Paul
Really good job Adam taking some work pal your doing car proud my man keep videos coming mate your doing brilliant mate great watch 10/10 my friend
Thanks Leslie
Adam, you should be able to get a clevis pin and split pin at your local hardware store for the hand brake cable.
Soon be time for some Spender film locations with the saff.
"Aye.....its a beast"
Another good video mind
Great collection of jobs being done. Gonna be stunning when finished. Will it be on road before time to put it away for winter?
I’ll drive it over the winter Jo if it's not 👍🏼
I really enjoy your videos, just one thing, the reversing lights don't seem to be working on your Sapphire
Adam them Lucas alternators normally only need a regulator.
Brilliant Adam well done mate another couple of jobs done 2 less before the mot 😀😀😀
Juat amazing Adam the things u do & all that just 4 a button top man

Morning fella
Etch primer first and no gloss black on any Ford parts it's Satin black. Gloss looks pants.
Had to sell my dream a5 due to being skint and having a baby but I loved going into deep cleaning like behind the wiper motor like you have carnt wait to get a new a5 some day to do it all again
Use silicone spray instead of engine oil on rubbers and plastic parts as the engine oil will destroy the rubber and plastic sockets in wiper arms
How is he only on 40k subscribers 🙄 decent cossie content is few and far between 👍🇬🇧
Didn't see the lock washers when you put the replacement handle assembly, perhaps they didn't show up from the camera angle?
AF is aw feck and AB is aw bollox. Things usually said when fixing old cars 😂
The only thing that I can see that you could of done better mate! You should of power floated that garage floor 😂 looks a bit sharp on the old back, I’m only jealous pal I would love a garage like that 👌
