Outstanding . Great work Becky. O and you Casey . Next time we will let Becky drive ha.
My God Bless you both . With health and prosperity.
I've recovered myself many times over the years there's been times where I've had to use a come-along and come along myself over 60 ft to get myself out of the hole
Getter done
I done the same thing, on a pickup and stuck in the woods on a four wheeler. Winch didn't work but I'm glad I brought the come-along
I got stuck in a deep mud hole and had to use a come along to get myself out. What made it fun was being in a cast from elbow to right past my finger tips. 4’ of water and mud with just one hand to use.
So glad you got her out. It seems the wet weather stayed away long enough, and that dirt dries quickly in your neck of the woods.
Mr Casey Just getting back to the second part. Glad you were able to get yourself and the jeep out. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
Thanks 👍
Great job Casey, thanks for taking us along
The Power of Patience.
As long as you're still able to move you're technically not stuck, just being detained!!!
Love to see the 5 ton in action!
I don't understand why this channel doesn't have more subscribers, its the real deal, has great content, great scenery, good information about Utah, and good people.
I appreciate that!
Another great recovery, or 2,😊.
Awesome, double recovery!😂😊 Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
HEY Good morning Casey and Becky , thumbs UP!!
Morning!
Wow. What a difference a day (or two) makes. That and a little luck and she came right out. Now, on to the task at hand.
I just subscribed! I can attest to the nastiness of the mud in that region. Good decision to wait for it to dry a bit. That shot of the jeep in the hole so suddenly cracked me and my wife up good!
You gave it a real crack.
Now this was different! Got to say the monsoon rains are wonderful but make driving impossible with clay layer. Too much fun!
glad we could help out. good job on pulling it out, good luck on your next adventure.
I honesty didnt think you were going to drive it out. Never doubt the 5 ton! 👍👍👍
🤙
Yep, got drier and she crawled right out. Pulled that jeep right out after a little landscaping. I liked the "take that" driving over the spot you were stuck in. Now for an afternoon of pressure washing. Nice work
Thought that was a job for the Nodwell, but you made it a self recovery. Nice work!
Great decision Casey on letting it dry up 👍
5 Tons are awesome. I remember when I was in mechanics school in the military we first had to go to drivers school. We drove through and over some amazing things with a 5 ton.
That looked pretty iffy 👍
Nice job.
Thanks!
It's funny, I was thinking about how were you going to get the 5 -ton out, but that was pretty simple--drive it out! I forgot about the Jeep! That was a pretty good rigging you set up on the Jeep. Great video and job! Thanks Casey!
A few days and no rain make for an easier job! They were lucky to not have a lot more damage! Good job Casey!
Do you think you and Matt will ever team up again? When I first started watching, you and Matt made a good team. At any rate, I do enjoy your content.
Balls in his court. 👋 Freindship dues are free.
I was surprised to see you try to crawl out. With these trucks you got to giver the onion to get the diffs to lock up on the loaded side. Which can be counterproductive sometimes and usually leads to axle wrap. (I guess that's better than airing down and spending an hour and a half trying to get back to street pressures with a woefully undersized compressor.)
That's why first gear and reverse are in line with each other. So you can rock it, with a side of onion!
Looks like it all worked out fairly painlessly in the end.
Nicely done
Hey Casey! Tough rescue after all the rains! God job on both rigs! 👍😉👏 On another note it was great seeing you at the Peach Festival driving the old wagon! Love your community participation in all ways! Keep up the great work! 🤘😎
Yes! Thank you! We love our Community!
One of your best vids. 5 ton is awesome..
It really is!
Awesome videos!!! Glad everything turn out great!!!!
Sucks u got stuck but great it drove out. Jeep not bang too bad for how it was
If they make them for it, you might want to consider lockers for it. That way you can go from two wheel drive (in four wheel dirve) to four wheel drive in four wheel drive. 😉
They make a spool, engaged all the time.
Thanks Casey that was a great video, you and Becky made i really enjoy when 1 of video's comes up weather it's a tow or the mules great content 👌👍❤️🙏
Thanks 👍
Glad you were able to drive out the 5 ton!! That saved a LOT of work😃 The Jeep came out pretty good considering it's predicament!! Thanks for letting share you adventure Casey and Becky!!
Thanks 👍
Glad it's going well!
Man alive, you were flogging the ole girl trying to get out when first sunk........
Can you please send some of that rain to Victoria BC? We’ve been having a drought here for most of the year. It’s strange as you are not that far away from us. Thanks for entertaining this old disabled lady!
You're welcome. It is usual to get monsoon flows, but this was a doozy
Great recovery!
Great video! Thanks!
The amount of flex I. The 5 ton frame is crazy. Seeing the hood to fender gap go from 0” to 6” is crazy.
hey casey i'm glad you got your 5 ton out but i got to tell you when i go do a recovery with a military 6x6 i get a running start at it and i do not!!!!!!!!!!! slow down until i get across it but i'm proud of you getting it out please keep in touch!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tow dude!!!!!!
Good Recovery. The screen messages are helpful.
This 5 ton is awesome
That 5 ton is awesome. I gotta have one
Lmao 🤣 🤣 operator error 💯
That was some pretty good driving to get that thing out.
its nice seeing the desert get nice and green just in time for butterfly and bird migrations from the north down
My Dad is a big birder....we took him to Lytle Ranch one time....
Honesty. No other channel comes close to this one❤️in content honesty
Due Diligence would tell a guy that! Comment of the day!
Very entertaining as well as educational Casey & Becky. The educational part is when conditions are bad, leave the Jeep home. Oh, to be young and foolish again. Stay safe, and thanks for sharing. 😊
Great point!
Awesome recovery 👏 👍..
Thats insane!
Another win for the 5 ton.
Glad you got it out! The whole thing was twisting... damn
Nice recovery of the recovery and of the Jeep
Hurray for 5 tonners. I had a 1938 GMC 5 tonner many years ago.
Thanks buddy..
That went pretty well 👍
Surprised it drove out good job
Heck Ya Buddy!!! Thought we were gonna get a Noddy Vid outta it though!!!!
Casy you are the best I enjoy watching the channel I'm probably going to come down that way for the car show after hollaween
Swing by or track me down.
I will if I can.
Super job!!!!!
Thank you!
I knew once you got that big girl out, it was gonna impressively Dead Pull that little Jeep out like a toy. Nice. Love it when they straight raw power bench press vehicles out. Thats the true test. Good content Casey. Cheers from Toledo.
Thanks. Dragged that Jeep at an idle.
That 5 ton needs a BIG winch on the front.
I’m on my way out later today for a round 2 myself got denied last weekend because of rain and mud.
They also make, stock, really nice 10,000 pound winches for them. A government surplus bone yard aught to have one.
I have 2 of the stock 20k Garwood winches
It will be very useful when you get the winch repaired and back onto the 5 ton.
Nice job. Not that it would have helped this time but looking forward to you getting the warn which on the old girl. Pretty impressive what it will do.
Love your channel. I would call you if I ever got stuck. But , Put a winch on that truck!!!
Self recovery is the best recovery. 👌
Mighty fine day
Man I just found your channel and have been binge watching. Your content is great. How do you not have more subscribers!! Matt’s off road recovery has over a million but the content is well staged. You’re genuinely cranking out good content. New sub here. Keep up the good safe work
Welcome aboard!
The five-ton could use 3 things. Replace the bed with a roll-back deck, A giant winch on the front and A/C.
The first thing it needs is lockers.
Warn is making a winch for the front.
It's here!
Had a buddy that had one as a farm truck. In the winter if you just put that thing in 6 wheel drive and just let it idle and not touch the gas it would grind up through the fields with a couple feet of snow with no issues. A little extra throttle and it would start spinning.
Eow that jeep looked like ground was hungry and it tried to eat the jeep for a snack
jeep lucky pipe was still there
Muy bueno.....
This is so much better than stuck rental car recoveries! Lol..
We do plenty of those, but don't film many!
Wow mud
Man I was hoping to see at least 1 mule harnessed up ready to pull at her!
Thumb#176.Thanks mate.
1:05 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
At the end, someone should have stood at the edge of the bridge and said "You shall not pass!" before Casey broke it with the 5 Ton. :D
Funny how some slippery mud has a tendency to take away any torque advantage ;) -- I knew you'd get it out under it's own power once it dried up a bit!
You got that right!
Good vid. You might remind us occasionally what the 5T has for a drive train.
NHC 250. Cummins. Manual trans dual T cases, air brakes....1400x20 tires. M813 A designation
Good, reliable stuff

👍👍
until the Army Corp of Engineers come a knockin'
No issues. BLM Ranger was there the whole time.
See something I've not seen before on the 5 ton - Ego train air horn under the frame.😅
It has 2 additional air horns...lol
the 5 ton needs lockers on the front axle. Probably be tough to do on the rear axles?
Same locker
I see that you fixed the front bumper.
Would love to see a winch job done with the five ton.
Maybe a very large 25,000 or 30,000 pound winch on the front. Would make moving motor homes in the sand a whole lot eaiser
Age-old question, what do you do when you get your D8 stuck?
👌👌👌
I know the frame was twisting trying to get the 5 ton out,but just curious what part of the truck was making the grinding/whining sound while doing it?Was that the fan and fan shroud contacting each other?Great video as always Casey!
The fan hits the shroud. I do have frame stiffners that will help with that.
Got it,thanks.Always enjoy the videos.@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery
Good morning Casey I knew you guys would get the 5 ton out. I agree with Becky the 5 ton is a true powerhouse.
I heard a whinning noise in the 5 ton it sounded like power steering. Is that normal to hear on the 5 ton?
Fan hitting the shroud
Where's the winch Warn is building for the front of the 5 ton ?? Great video 👍👍
It's here!
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery heck ya... can't wait to see it in action... get that bad boy mounted up 😎
It happens. Would tire chains work ? I've never driven in sand. Up here we have peat bog.
They might
That was a bit of a hole to drive out of. I couldn't believe your hood was flexing up 4-6 inches.
Ya the fan doesn't like that fan shroud.
I own an M813 and am SUPTERTHERMAL on SS. If you need some help down the road let me know.
