    What happened to the Omeo?

    • @ChrisLynchFilm
      @ChrisLynchFilm  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately the Omeo was broken for the majority of time I owned it and the company that made it couldn’t support me as they are based in New Zealand. It was such a disappointment. Genny have a far more robust platform and as a bigger company have invested more in safety which differentiates it from the Omeo as a certified medical device which is really useful and also piece of mind.

      @@ChrisLynchFilm Thank you so much for saying this. This is the Main worry I have about these devices. They are so expensive and yet you have so little support from every company I see. How easy are these to get a mechanic to work on them if a company is out of business? I wish someone like Elon Musk would mass produce something like this. I have MS and really need one but it's so hard to find the right company.

      @@Wolfsheim23 Genny were recently bought over by a huge Swiss Medical group which gave me a huge amount of confidence about their future. One of the problems that Oneo has is that is uses Segway parts which have now been discontinued however Genny are just in the process of releasing a new model after 3 years of investment to reverse engineer the technology and release their own platform.

      @@ChrisLynchFilm Thanks again, I'll surely look into these even if I had to go to Europe to get one, it would be worth it! It's such a shame that innovation in Disabled Vehicles is so far behind every other vehicle innovation. We aren't that Niche?! I had a segway mini that I totally loved because I can stand up, (just not walk well or far) and i love the lean/gyro mechanic as it becomes like a part of your body. I don't like the ease of falling though off those. I want something like that, but seated.
