    They didn't start to bring crowd barriers here until well after the junction was overcrowded. They misunderestimated the amount of people who would show up I guess?!! It quickly built up here once people found out they were letting no one else in further along the Mall just after 10am.

      What's the norm with British plates? As a number plate collector I know S=Scotland, C=Wales and NI have a different format. But I've seen London buses with NI plates. Here in Australia if you move to another state you have to get local number plates. Do you not have to get for example L plates if you move from Scotland?

    • @coover65
      @coover65 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@howellstevens9622 So I could move to London, buy a used car with Scottish plates and yet never drive anywhere near Scotland? Does that also apply to IOM and Channel Island or Gibraltar plates? My son moved from Brisbane to regional NSW a few months back. He lives in a small town and keeps getting stopped by Highway Patrol asking why he still has Queensland number plates. He now has NSW ones, and with that comes different rego fees and annual inspections which we don't have in our state.

    • @halfbakedproductions7887
      @halfbakedproductions7887 ปีที่แล้ว

      The police have really strange procurement agreements for cars which means that they're often registered in areas they're not operating in. Lots of the regular Met patrol cars for a long while had Birmingham plates and you'd see London plates in the Merseyside Police fleet. A lot of Northumbria Police cars (Newcastle and so on) were registered with York (Y) plates.

    • @halfbakedproductions7887
      @halfbakedproductions7887 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@coover65 The new London Routemasters are built in Northern Ireland actually. I'd imagine that's why they're using NI plates, also it's a vanity scheme for the bus fleet and something that bit more unique.
      We don't have the American system where you have totally different formats depending on the location and/or the type of vehicle it is.

    • @coover65
      @coover65 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@halfbakedproductions7887 The streamlined UK system seems much better. Here in Australia, it's different plates for different states, and taxis, trailers, government vehicles all have unique plate styles. Add to that some road rules vary from state to state, as do registration costs and regulations. America is the "United States", we're the "disjointed states"!

      @@thundurr I thought about that, and honestly I don’t know as I’m not in that world at all, but yanks do it all the time flying their president into White House from the airport just outside Washington he flies from. If any country goes overboard protecting their head of state it’s them, so it’s clearly possible and would be less disruptive to the city. They already fly into that small military runway for the gov’t planes in west London so there is that security risk, so it must be possible to go the few extra miles and land in that huge area of protected land behind the palace.

      I think you have to bear in mind this was the jubilee weekend and there were more crowds than normal obviously, they actually get around in 'normal' times very easily without mayhem and there is no real treason to change that just because of this one-off.

      @@markdickson3820 The US president flies occasionally because its a massive country, imagine 50 countries in one. The UK is a tiny island in real sense.

      @@thundurr I have us citizenship too, I know it very well as I lived there for more than half my life. The discussion was about flying in a helicopter the last part of the trip to avoid city congestion. It’s really not anything to do with topic, but yes, US is a fricking enormous country but I think in popular discussion the size of uk is ironically made even smaller. It is about 600-800 miles long if memory serves (depending on how you measure). That’s like going from southern Alabama boarder to northern Ohio in US (tho much narrower obv since no place in uk is more than 80miles away from sea). There is a website that lets you move one country on top of another to accurately compare. So your overall point is correct, but it’s a wild exaggeration to say uk is tiny, it’s rather average by country size, US citizens can often have a distorted view of country size because they happen to live in an unusually large one and the only large one with so much useful land. Like I said, all of that is secondary to how to avoid causing disruption within London’s really tight streets when moving these types of people. If she’s got to move from one of her estates such as the one in Norfolk to the palace that is over 100 miles, just fly into the back of palace and avoid causing trouble. Won’t be photo ops of course but I think better for everyone. For comparison, I used to live in Philly, and I remember that’s 90 miles from nyc and people fly that in a helicopter all the time.

    Society needs leaders, but development is sometimes hindered by structures, and a dynamic distribution of powers and responsibilities could sometimes help to achieve more.
    Second: I never would want to be a king, and feel like a prisoner behind guards and fences, even not if built of pure gold.

    All these countries who have eliminated God from choosing who rules are as "royal" as my parakeet. God said it's up to him to annoint all rulers. The bloodline of these rulers goes back to pharaohs who migrated to Europe with the same intentions to pass themselves off as gods. These "royals" began eliminating God from annointing them by claiming birth rights to titles of 'gods', kings, etc. A birth canal does not replace an annointing by God. All these kids born into a rulers house does not automatically make the child a "royal". The pharaohs taught that only the bloodline of the 'gods' could rule, so they married their sister or father, the Europeans married cousins or other 'rulers'. The public won't buy that lie any longer so the "royals" go lenient now on who to marry, then automatically title them with whatever they want. None of these people are Duke's, Prince's, Earls, or Ladies. It's all rubbish & Liz of England has 72 billion pounds & 6,600 million acres of land that she suckered out of all you idol worshipers that she serrrrvvvvsss. Whose serving who? Whose kingdom are you worshiping in?
