i dont think any other head of state has or will ever have the same effect on the world as the Queen.thankyou for capturing this behind the scenes view of such a monumental event.
She might also have been the shortest head of state on the planet, at 5'4, but she was enigmatic and charismatic, and benevolent. Requiescat in pace (...rest in peace), Your Royal Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Perhaps not NOW or going forward. Except for maybe William when his day comes. I think he is going to introduce many modern changes the millennials want.
But in the PAST, old Queen Vickie's funeral was quite the do. In 1901, it was at THAT time, the largest gathering of the crowns of Europe and other world leaders. Plus SHE had quite the influence on society even here in the United States.

I sure wish there was someone who could post who all the different dignitaries/heads of state were in each car. I really don't understand European license plates. They all look the same to me. Here in the United States, each license plate has the state in which car is registered. Biden, although you cannot miss those 2 big 'beasts' has DC license plates on the state limousine. So you KNOW its him.

This is only what people see during the day. I work nights, and these officers have been busy escorting individuals at night as well.
That's very true. Biden arrived at night and had to be escorted. The same with the night of the King's reception.

As an American, I cannot get over the fact that expensive luxury vehicles are used by city police. Here in the States, its mostly Fords, Chevrolets and Dodges. You never see a patrolman in a Cadillac or Lincoln!
@@retroguy9494 Here in Singapore meanwhile some of my countrymen are also questioning the police's purchase of BMW 325d as pursuit vehicles, as they are seen as extravagent, but I heard BMWs are sold under a special package to law enforcement. A couple other places use BMWs too e.g. the 5-series in Taiwan/ROC's highway patrol
@@lzh4950 I would question it too! Here in the States, its pretty much the same thing only with a cheaper brand. The Ford's Chevrolet's and Dodge's are equipped with special engines which can reach higher speeds than the average vehicle in case of the need of a higher speed pursuit. The engines are also built to withstand more abuse. But they are STILL much less expensive than an American luxury vehicle!
Such an enormous effort to protect all the Heads of State but shame so many blacked out windows so no idea who is in there.
Such an amazing and stark contrast between the United States of America The Beast motorcade entourage compared to other heads of state, which appear to be escorted about in a common vehicle from their UK embassy. I guess it is better than King Charles III's recommendation that they take the bus.

They did take the bus to the funeral on Monday. This event was the viewing on the Sunday. They all arrived at different times so came in small motorcades.
This was a visit to pay respect to the Queen, they would each go has and when they arrived in the country,or embassy. They did ( apart from the odd few) go to the Sunday reception on buses, and again apart from Biden and very few others to Westminster Abbey by coach. It must have been a weird feeling sitting on a bus with complete strangers, novel at the very least.
@@jasminderpinder Biden did NOT take the bus on Monday. He used his motorcade and was dropped off literally at the front door of the abbey.

Actually, you are correct. In this particular usage, 'lay' would be the past tense of 'lie.' Since it was happening in real time and not in the past, she was in fact 'lying' in state.
