This move is actually good it works really well against ryu with his crazy and fast jump ins it really makes them press buttons which can lead to big crush counter combos
The origin of this technique seems to be Laura’s wheel kick vskill, given that she’s Sean’s big sister. I guess Ken learned it from either her or Sean?
I feel like the st.HP crush counter is still viable, but we have to get used to cancel into heavy tatsu instead. I mean, it's easier than confirming st.MP into heavy tatsu so it's a matter of getting used to it. Also it's more damage doing st.HP CC(max range), HK tatsu (combo ends here at close range), LK tatsu, HP DP than the usual VSkill1, stLP, target, HK Tatsu.
Might be able to like, anti-air a jump-in with a normal, cancel into Vskill, and charge it during the flip out to force some pressure, though it's probably too slow for that.
3417gekko good idea bro it actually works bro, although I lost hella points gettin use to this v skill last night this v skill actually gains you pressure while being safe at the same time
Yup I only use it against characters with significantly better neutral like Seth or Juri , I find its best as a long poke to get in against a character whom fireballs won’t do much against
For someone who is just now finding interest in this game where would I start in terms of learning a character like I understand that this game went through a lot of changes.
I'm trying to do it in training mode, but when I hold medium punch and kick together the character just runs or does the kick at the end if you hold the buttons. How do I do the horizontal flip thing like in the video? Sorry for being dumb
@@anjumpervez9190 As I said, you need to pick V-skill 2 at character select. Ken's run is his v-skill 1. You need to choose which v-skill you bring into battle when choosing a character, same as v-trigger. You can swap them by doing "version select" in the training mode options. If you're not playing a fully updated copy of SFV Ken might not even have his v-skill 2 available, since it wasn't in the game at launch.
@@anjumpervez9190 Do the motion like you normally do, but instead of doing a single punch, like light punch, hit any two punches together. So something like quarter circle forward then LP+MP together.
It not being an overhead baffles me so much
Just like Juri
Chun too apparently. Come on capcom let characters have tools with more than 2 uses
Ken is already annoying enough.
Ironically they nerfed bolth his over heads again. Izumi kick and Thunder kick are now bolth minus 7
@@noodlesoup5995 most overheads ate the same nerf
Imagine being BUFFED by getting a move from Sean.
This was actually one of Ken's moves in CvS (421+K).
Ken originally had it in cvs
Didn’t ken teach Sean?
I don't even play SFV but this was perfectly explained and extremely informative, even if i won't use this info
CvS2 Ken. All we need is funky kick
Roll cancel funky kick!
I wish Ken got back his air throw from Street Fighter 2.

The v meter build especially on cc combos is crazy. Easy 2 vt2s a round
@@CarInMyAss Ryu's vt2 can beat it almost everytime

I seriously doubt that
@@KurohigeDTeach-yy3yk didn't Ken have the move first?
@@darrenkey207 yes in cvs2
I've noticed that in VT1 ken makes a different sound when he does the charged version or the quick version.
Let at least the charged one be an overhead damn

Lol you did it on the other video, sorry XD.
It's just Terry Bogard's crackshoot
If that's the case then I would be happy about that. Ken needed a new move anyway and they are 2 of my favorite characters from fighting games. :)

ANYONE ELSE GETTING SEAN VIBES?
Yes
Look at the v gauge and how much after a cc combo
I think this is going to be mostly matchup dependent.
Yup I only use it against characters with significantly better neutral like Seth or Juri , I find its best as a long poke to get in against a character whom fireballs won’t do much against
Ken can be dashed under when he uses it too
I feel like this one do more damage and even esier to use than vs1
So Ken doesn't have his 4f B.MP back, like some were saying? Didn't see it after the demonstration of +4 on charged V-Skill on hit.
Nope still 5

are you good at rps
What do you mean ?
No brainer for casual Ken players, this is abusable in lower ranks
Yup
Thanks
Cant be worse than LUCIA AND CAMMY Vskills 2 T.T......looks like Ken have some new tricks.
Meanwhile, Guile gets to throw air fireballs and Rashid can now air dash.
@@mappybc6097 They're not quite the same as air fireballs tbf
I still maintain juri got shafted the most. literally useless
Lucia Vskill two leads to so many meaties I've been finding people need to alter there combo routes and properly test shit
I think he has the wheel kick and roll in the alpha series and in cvs2
CVS yes alpha no. CVS Ken got it from SF3 Sean who already existed by that point lol. I noted that in the description tho
Didnt they change back strong to 4f startup
Fake news
Capcom v SNK 😲
Is this hint of the new CvS3 game
No
