I have noticed that the Kemper seems to have a lot of users that are in Praise and Worship gigs. I guess it makes sense that it would have great appeal to that genre because of the wide range of flexibility and the small form factor. Also I think stage volume is a concern in a lot of churches so having a tube amp on ten just isn't possible.
Just copped a Kemper with the expression pedal and everything, and I’m also a worship leader at a small church. But I also got it cause since I’m in a starting metal band it’ll be useful for when we will be able to gig cause it’s not nearly as heavy as my actual amp head and cab.
After hearing about the new reverbs, and seeing this video, i'm going this route with the remote and using on board delay and reverbs. If i'm not mistaken, you can create your set-up for each song (performances) and have them saved. Then, rearrange them based on the set list each week. Is that right?
Will the top four slots change with each performance? For example, maybe I program the performance slots for the verse, bridge, and chorus of a song, then use the upper ones for different overdrive flavors. When I bank up to a new song, could those upper slots change to mod, delay, and reverb? Sorry if that's confusing.
Thanks for the great demo. I like this remote, but I am hugely disappointed that the switches are so loud. For as expensive as this is, Kemper should have used the soft touch silent switches.
Well, I was hoping you'd reply that they aren't really that loud, lol. I suppose they could be modded with the soft touch relay switches, The problem with that (besides the added expense) would be that it would almost assuredly void the 3 year warranty.
Hey, TroyThank you very much for this Video! Could you make a Video how you create a preset with the remote? would be very helpful! I think I will use the bigsky and the timeline with the remote cause I think they are much better than the reverbs and delays of the kemper. Can you approve that? Thanks!
If your verb/delay are set up on the remote then have you entered those as your C & D stomps on the Kemper Unit as those 4 stomps on the remote relate to A,B,C,D slots right?
Hi brother thank you for sharing this, i have just taken delivery of my new Kemper but am still trusting for the remote. I have so much to learn however i use an external looper for my work and was wondering how to incorporate the looper with the Kemper. My concern is loss of quality when your main out becomes the looper instead of the Kemper. Maybe you can shed some light please. Thanks for sharing the word at the end of your video, been through a rough time lately and it was very appropriate at the time i saw the video. Thank you
Hey Troy. Is there a way to tell visibly by looking at the remote if you have the morph engaged or not? I wasn’t able to see any change when you engaged. Cheers mate!
Sure can! Look at the little light above the switch. If the bottom light is lit, it’s in the unmorphed state. If the top light is lit, it’s in the morphed state. :)
Bruce, You need to set the morph parameters first. To do that, press the switch to send it into morphing. Change the parameters on the Kemper to what you want them to morph to (you can change basically ANY parameter--delay settings, reverb, amp EQ, gain, etc.). Press SAVE. Now you can morph between the two settings. Make sense?
Sorry, press the FOOTSWITCH on the remote to send it into morph mode. You'll know because, of the two switches above the preset button, the top one will be lit.
So the morph feature morphs from one “performance” to another version of that same “performace”? It’s not morphing independent effects block settings? What I mean is...it’s not JUST changing the delay mix like you showed us in your most recent video. Ugh...my Neanderthal brain is just struggling with this. I need to get a remote and figure it out for myself I guess.
@@GuitarforHISGlory I'm thinking about using my kemper live for the first time at a gig ... Any tips because I'd like to run stereo on stage and Front of house ? What reverbs and delays are you using ? it sounds fantastic ? ... And I might run 2 mission engineering exp pedals- one for Volume and on for wah...Any suggestions?
Hey, loved the video. Just curious as to what model of the barefoot buttons you're using (Looks like the skirtless V1?). Also curious as to if they will fit on the first effect slot without hitting the bar there, I think it would potentially look cool with the clear knobs on the effect slots if the LEDs end up under them. Again, great video!
I have to admit I'm totally ignorant about worship music. But are there standards? Because a LOT of Kemper users play worship music, and it all sounds REALLY similar.
@@scottmartinezguitarandbass Ooooo. I see. Not really standards. There's seems to be the "flavor of the month/year" songs for sure. But there are also some that communicate DEEP theological truth and have been around for hundreds of years by this point.
@@GuitarforHISGlory gotcha. I guess every time I hear a worship player/channel, it really sounds very similar all the way across the board. I'm guessing there are just certain things that are consistently done for the "genre". Kind of like how rap and hip hop has the phat bass drum. LOL.
My approach to the basic worship-style guitar tone: th-cam.com/video/4TSa0IO9Vdc/w-d-xo.html
Wow... just wow
That sound is incredible. Especially at the end, it’s simply magnificent.
You sir, have a gift!
Will, thank you, sir. Anything I have that is at all good is all from Jesus.
Please post more. I love your channel. Keep the Kemper topics rolling. Im on the fence regarding getting a remote for my kemper.

Guitar for HIS Glory Thanks for the response. It's great to see kemper catching on.

Sounds incredible Troy. Great work
Thanks, Aidan. You're very kind.
What is that soaring clean tone at 2:12? Need that in my Kemper!
Thanks you for this Troy... God bless you bro 🙌🏼
You're welcome, bro.
Love that variation of bright and dark verb!
Thanks, TJ! That's kind of how I used the DMC8 with the Big Sky as well. Feels a little more like home, now.
Thanks for the great tip! I’ll be using that morph feature!!
Awesome!

Jake, not always. You can assign verb and delay anywhere. I always run a delay pre stack and one post stack.
Is there a way to adjust reverb settings through the remote?
I Also have the actual kemper available to do so

Wallace, I'm sorry, but I don't know how to answer your question. Glad the word at the end was encouraging, brother.
Really helpful! Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the Video....by the way, where did you get the oversized switch additions for the foot pedals....nice...
Barefoot Buttons. :)
Where did you get those cool big buttons? Nice addition!
They’re called Barefoot buttons. :)
Does the Kemper have effects integrated? How many? Do the remote allow to use multiples effects in one footswich knob?
Forest Yes. A lot. Yes.
Forest it’s over 250 I guess, even more. Including reverbs, delays, harmonizers, drives etc. Love the crystal delays (too sad I don’t use them 😅)

Troy do you have to use the vp for it to morph. I know you do for swells. I'm not seeing any different when I just press the switch.

You can morph one parameter or many simultaneously; it’s up to you. :)
Where did you get the switch covers?
Barefoot Buttons!
how did u get your reverb to slot IV of the stomp?
You can assign any effect to any place on the remote. Is that what you're asking?

Tall boys. That clear button idea is genius!
Wow, 3:28 How smooth it is to change banks in Kemper!
Huge fan of those who use in ear monitoring at home XD

Hello there. What do you mean by standards?
@@GuitarforHISGlory I mean standards are songs that every church plays. Like Hallelujah, Etc.

I didn't even know you could do this with a Kemper
Hopefully it was helpful to learn that!
