The first live action cast was so perfect. Not only for Haruma Miura, also since the first time I feel the actress that play Sawako was so good that I can see Sawako in her for the cute and innocent face and also for the scary face that she can portray. And in general the cast resemble the characters of Kimi ni Todoke except Pin.

You know, I'm one of those people who is passionately against making live actions of well loved manga/anime series, somehow they always get it wrong; wrong casting, terrible acting, trying to pretend to be the characters but looking awkward af...live actions are not their strongest asset. However, I'm really glad they decided to bring Kimi no todoke to life, for the first time ever, dare i say, everything is perfect. They got it perfect. They managed to perfectly capture this sweet, innocent coming of age love story through brilliant directing, smooth scenes, wonderfully recreated prominent moments from the original...The casting was perfect, their acting captures the nature of the characters brilliantly, and most important of all, they didn't try to awkwardly pretend they were anime characters. ahhhh i love the two leads!! so sweet and cute, for the first time ever, i can confidently say this is a live action manga adaption I'm very fond of. :)

Glad to see i wasn't the only one to come back to this one after watching the Netflix one. The new series definitely had some great moments and i truly enjoyed watching it but of course the og live action chatacters have a special place in my heart. I love the casting for this version and i think it'll be very hard to get better actors to portray the characters with this movie setting the bar high

I only found out about Kimi Ni Todoke last month. Obsessed with it now. Could kick myself for not finding it sooner. I've watched the anime, completed 30 volumes of the manga and watched the live action. Can safely say that Haruma Miura played Kazehaya beautifully. He's a great actor, I hope he's at rest now. For real, I still can't believe Haruma Miura has passed. :( He was born for the Kazehaya role and I can't see any one else as Kazehaya. I'm sorry for Netflix's new version but I don't think a lot of us can see Kazehaya in any other actor. Miura and his beautiful smile always in my heart.
I first discovered Haruma for the first time in 10th grade through Last Cinderella, deep-dived into his filmography, and very quickly became a huge fan. After watching this movie, I fell in love with its story, related quite heavily to Sawako's personality, loved Kazehaya's sunny and generous spirit that I decided to buy the anime version on Blue-Ray. Ever since, my dad has continued buying me the manga each Christmas and literally bought me books 13-16 for my birthday last week (I'm now 23). The cherry blossom scene is the most memorable scene from the movie and original manga as it gave a lasting impression on me. It was also one of the first images that came to my mind upon hearing this gutwrenching news. This moment is so sweet and tender, seeing the two engulfed in awe upon looking at something/someone they find peace, hope, and appreciation in. Haruma and Mikako delivered these emotions viscerally and I am so thankful for this story and most importantly, Haruma himself. I'm still in utter shock he has left us. My heart goes out to him, his friends, family, fans, and to everyone fighting for another day in this life. RIP Haruma, we will long to see you continue to grow, however, your gifts to us all are eternal❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜

I liked this movie more than the anime. I guess It's because of him.His smile is something else that everybody can fall for... His acting seems so realastic.Just fantastic... He deserves the praises.
Also the actress has portrayed her character very well

I guess being an actor from such a very young age took a toll on his mental health. It is not an easy thing for sure to survive and stay positive in a harsh entertainment industry. I wish he could have shared his depressions with others, so he wouldn't decide to do the unthinkable. Hope he would rest in peace.

I only found out about Kimi Ni Todoke last month. Obsessed with it now. Could kick myself for not finding it sooner. I've watched the anime, completed 30 volumes of the manga and watched the live action. Can safely say that Haruma Miura played Kazehaya beautifully. He's a great actor, I hope he's at rest now. We didn't deserve him 🕊

Following him since "Koizora" movie, and later appear on Crows Zero 2. This is very stressful, especially after reading a letter he wrote 10 years ago. Exactly 10 years after the letter was made, he disappeared. Being famous doesn't make you always happy. RIP "Bitō Tatsuya".

I know there's a live action Netflix series of Kimi Ni todoke, but it doesn't beat the movie by a long shot. Whenever I watch the anime (where this song came from), it always brings me back to the movie. Watching Haruma Miura warms my heart so 💓 but also makes me ache 💔, as I miss him so 😭

I first discovered Haruma for the first time in 10th grade through Last Cinderella, deep-dived into his filmography, and very quickly became a huge fan. After watching this movie, I fell in love with its story, related quite heavily to Sawako's personality, loved Kazehaya's sunny and generous spirit that I decided to buy the anime version on Blue-Ray. Ever since, my dad has continued buying me the manga each Christmas and literally bought me books 13-16 for my birthday last week (I'm now 23).
The cherry blossom scene is the most memorable scene from the movie and original manga as it gave a lasting impression on me. It was also one of the first images that came to my mind upon hearing this gutwrenching news. This moment is so sweet and tender, seeing the two engulfed in awe upon looking at something/someone they find peace, hope, and appreciation in. Haruma and Mikako delivered these emotions viscerally and I am so thankful for this story and most importantly, Haruma himself. I'm still in utter shock he has left us. My heart goes out to him, his friends, family, fans, and to everyone fighting for another day in this life. RIP Haruma, we will long to see you continue to grow, however, your gifts to us all are eternal❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
