If this offered an offline mode, I'd be interested as a fan of TDU1 and 2.
It's coming. They promised off line before end of life of the game so we don't lose the game by the time the servers are shut

I have high hopes, but very, very low expectations.
The beta gameplay looked kind of terrible, and as someone who has played previous KT racing games, they are far from the best in the genre.
Also seem to exemplify what is wrong with most racing games these days. Massive potential ruined by asinine gameplay design decisions... Like making this game online only.

this can only survive if you fix the driving pyhsics and make it more realistic, we have too many online arcade racing games.

@@mremw7187 ghost town environments? its more dense than literally any other modern driving game out there right now. but the environment and actual NPC population are two different things.
They did! They alredy fixed all of that! Watch a video from a channel called Alexvii. It shows how they fixed most of the problems in the demo!
The settings should be at least a bit tweakable, not everybody has a taste for truly sim-like racing games.

They have already publicly said that if and when the time comes for the servers to shut down they’re already anticipating adding offline so it can be played but with the game not out yet they’re not even focusing on it. I understand the concern especially after what Ubisoft pulled with the crew but this is just modern games now sadly. I’m just gonna hope Nacon gonna be truthful on their word.
People complaining about the graphics, but the problem here was the performance of the beta. Maybe that led to many people playing on medium or low settings at 1080p and that definitely makes the game look horrible. Fixing the performance and making it offline would solve most of the hate.
My issue was I was casually driving faster than the map could load.
As far as graphics go, I just think the player models look unusual. If this game had an engaging single player like TDU2 I would be more inclined to play it, but if it's going to be online only... what's the point if the servers going down reduces your game to a coaster?
Why not add people to the streets? Some ghost towns.
They could've implemented similar to how Driver SF peds work.

1. I have played TDU and TDU2, finished both. Loved it.
2. This looks like TDU 2.5. There is no progress. No visible upgrade.
3. TDU has changed the world of sandbox driving games for me, but Forza Horizon has done the homework properly. It's time, to have a look at Forza Horizon and don't be ashamed of it.
4. I have played the demo of TDU Solar Crown on Steam and on maximum settings, 3440x1440 game was unstable and ugly. Tried everything, different drivers and settings (I know, the DEMO).
5. Gonna buy it anyway, but I'm gonna cry if they won't optimize or change anything comparing to the DEMO...
They said it is very old build. So on release you should be fine
“Streets of Hong Kong” their’s literally like one Chinese person in the game.
It’s set in an alternate reality where Britain didn’t cave in to the Chinese and we still own Hong Kong
Make it playable on/offline, add more traffic, fix optimization, add more unique races and challenges like TDU2 and, please fix the traffic Ford Raptors XD
There needs to more traffic and pedestrian density, HK looks abandoned in the game

You still have workshops and the solar hotel but the rest is in tdu2

Y’know for a game that says Test Drive Unlimited, it feels very limited in accessibility. Remove the online-only requirement and give a great game on the single player side, and you’ll have a game that sells for years.

I think the TDU fanbase is just very niche and thus very particular.. I don't think I've ever seen a playerbase _this_ concerned about "online only".

Beta, Demos never are. It's been that way on pc for 20 years. The release always runs better. COD is the only game that does not because it's last years game anyway.

Unfortunately, this game will flop. As someone who played TDU2, that game was ahead of its time. This, on the other hand... Where do I even start? The game feels lifeless. They could at least create people walking on the streets, etc. (I know this isn't a GTA game, but it would bring life to it). Now, an online-only game is ridiculous. I won't be pre-ordering it; I'll just watch from afar. If they end up fixing the game later after release, then maybe I'll buy it. The only pro is that the game isn't $70 like every other game, but $10 isn't much...
TDU1 was ahead of its time, TDU2 was a wasted potential because of stability, stuttering and other bugs.

There’s no lifestyle features as there were in TDU 1 and 2. I.e clothes stores, barber shops, estate agents and player houses. What a let down. Won’t be buying this. Such a shame. I was looking forward to it.

We currently have the forza horizont saga and the crew, which are much better than tdsolar, you didn't give us any incentive to spend money on something inferior and that your rivals have years of advantage and experience, says a test driver lover Having played 1 and 2, I think that putting on turn signals and lowering windows is not worth 70 euros, it is my humble opinion.

Hi I really want to preorder this game but before I do can you tell me if it’s possible to remap Accelerate / Braking / Steering all to the D-Pad? Also can you have automatic gears and driving assist? Basically I’m disabled with the use of one hand so I need to play this way?

On top of performance concerns and a lack of other vehicles/people existing its also concerning that theres been no gameplay on console. If its struggling to hit 60fps on a high end pc its not looking promising

They fixed physics already. And graphics are better, remember this is AA studio and they did amazing job with dense city
