I was 14, watching Prince perform Little Red Corvette on MTV! It was mezmerizing, seductive and sensual! I instantly fell in love with Prince and his magic!! I cried when he sang this during his Purple Rain Tour in Toronto! My girlfriends laughed at me but I didn't care because I was lost in the music and vibration!! 1984! The best year of my life with my first love and watching Purple Rain at the movie theatre!! I'm an 80s girl forever!! Love and miss you sweet and badass Prince Rogers Nelson!! You are so loved by so many all over the world!! Praying you found peace in heaven with your baby boy! God bless you all! xoxo
This is a very nice and interesting 🤔 I’m realizing that the man who made this song was beyond amazing with the music and educational value of the musical brain 🧠 because all he had done was create the sound of the music that made us all go crazy 😝
I love this song 🎶 and I grew up with this one ☝️ man great job making me happy and proud absolutely 💯 percent proud of him for being my sisters husband,,,, and he saved me from the pain of getting hurt and suffering from my sister 👧 being hurt or mad 😡 and now I’m crying because he is beautiful and not here anymore but he still is the greatest man throughout my life
Have never heard him play guitar on LRC during this time period. Dont believe he ever did during a live show until the 2000's. Thanks for sharing this rarety!
@@jgutie1552 Maybe it's because Dez came up with the guitar parts on record, and he felt it was never really his to perform, so he always gave it to the guitar player in the band. Anyway if he's playing guitar, he can't do the iconic dance part. Maybe that's why he started playing guitar on it in the 2000's because he was getting too old to do those moves. lol
No matter how many times he did Little Red Corvette without Lisa, nothing touches her intro. You can tell she could play this for hours upon hours without ever being bored. Same with Wendy doing the guitar solo Dez made famous. That solo only belongs to Dez and Wendy
Belongs to who ? ......lol... How many often , people who never could play a single note on music say nonsense.... Wendy and Dez are good musicians and good students . Prince fed them every day in rehearseals .... Lol
Did they ever do it like this live anywhere on the tour?! Cuz the real day 1 Prince fans at that time would've lost their minds hearing that Controversy Bridge line mixes in with this!! 😂😂
I could've sworn that there was a longer mix to this where there was 2 separate songs that was mixed together. The mix was smooth....that was posted. Anyone knows of what I speak of..
With VERY few exceptions, he did not record demos. What would be the point? He would occasionally record a song and then record it a second time or third time until he got a version he liked, but he never set out to record a demo for a song that would be re-recorded later. There are some demos from very early in his career, as in before his first album came out, but after that, the only thing that comes to mind is the acoustic demo for “Thieves in the Temple.” In a very recent interview, Peggy McCreary at Sunset Sound claims that originally “when doves cry” had a lot more instruments in it, I believe she use the word “overproduced.” I don’t think we’ll ever hear that version, I don’t even know if it still exists. It’s not a demo, but an early (incomplete) version of the song “Diamonds and Pearls” leaked a few years ago. This version was recorded before Rosie Gaines joined the band. She took that song from a good song to a great, classic song.
@@VetteGoalie31 , not a demo per se but an original cut. Engineer at Sunset Sound said the first version of Doves was over produced. Had a lot of guitar and keys in it and bassline. She said one by one he started taking things out. Last thing he took out was the bassline. That's what I mean

Prince was definitely one of a kind.
1 of 1!
It's sad that ppl don't really understand how true this statement is. You don't have to like him but his uniqueness is undeniably!
Amazing piece of history. Those warm synth pads of the Oberheim synthesizer are so hypnotic in that track.
I've been trying to figure out the synths for a while now. Thanks!
Leroyrs man you ain’t never lied 🫡

Absolutely
I like the way they mixed a little bit of "Controversy" into it. 👍
