Social media ruined gaming. We come from a time where you were surprised for game announcements. We lived like royalty in the 2000s era. We only had gameshows like the G4 channel...Game Informer subscription magazines...your local Gamestops back when they cared about games instead of loot. We had it all...I miss those days. I miss getting hyped up not for new games, but for E3 so we can see what new games, consoles, extras, and other media were in the making. Social media ruined it 😂 Great video tho. Agreed, gaming media has become more mainstream and is too focused on news, leaks, any small piece of information to be presented. That goes in hand with the times we’re in of course, with social media and better technology. Do miss the old days where we could sit with little info until E3 or the marketing cycle kicked off. People are just hungry for any content and news before moving on to the next thing.
It has nothing to do with social media (there is plenty to blame it for tho). It has everything to do with crap, unfinished games, or just plain bad, overpromised ones. Just look back at Anthem, Dragon age, Masseffect Andromeda and so on.
For real though. Went to a game stop 2 years ago. Looked like a geeks version of toys r us. Still had games on the wall with consoles and accessories. But in the middle was so much fan merch it was almost a joke. Though in the era of digital games they had to make their money some how. I would almost fear how bad it is for gamestop now that poorer gamers can but cheaper xbox and ps5 consoles that do not even have hard drives, on top of that they can subscribe to gamepass or psn for around $20 a month for free games from a limited stock. Im sure that even poor games can either scrape up $20 a month or mom and dad pays it since it is much cheaper than buying games.

I am waiting for Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag Remake. To me it is one of the best AC games, period. I was moved by Edward Kenway's character journey, and would love to experience it again. That said, regarding the narrative, i hope they include a few narrative elements from the Black Flag novel adaptation, which, for example, delved further into Edward Kenway's backstory in England, such as a specific scene showing us how Edward first met Jennifer Scott, which is in the novel but not in the game.
a Netflix series would be cool if they did something like "Assassin's Creed: Lost Sequences" where we get shown stories that were only TOLD in the games. 1. Edward's assassination in his manor and Haytham uprising in the templar order. 2. Connor and Haytham just talking where Haytham explains Edward to Connor and then a story about Connor and Aveline working together. 3. Arno and Shay getting a story where they fight over Arno's father's death. 4. Ezio and Claudia working together as brother and sister assassins after Claudia becomes a full assassin. 5. I really hope the BF remake is in the vain of the new MGS remake. Like, where they’re overhauling visuals, animations, and certain other mechanics, but leaving almost all of the original scenes and dialogue, I hope that same treatment is given to the BF remake.

To paraphrase Boromir from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring: "Black Flag has no remake. Black Flag needs no remake." Ignoring the fact that Ubisoft has not yet even released their remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (first announced in 2020, multiple delays - now releasing 2026), remaking Black Flag is pointless. It is already great the way it is. Better graphics? Sure, maybe. But, they would probably recast every single role, there would be changes made to the lore (by Ubisoft Quebec by the way - they love changing the lore of the franchise in terrible ways), and they would probably ruin the entire story, characters, and add some stupid ship mechanics like stamina etc.
That all assumes ubisoft isn't going to be sold off to Tencent and slapped repetitively into profitability. I'd love a black flag remake by a company that, even if it didn't make the original, actually cared about people LIKING the game.
I am so excited for AC Invictus Multiplayer. I absolutely love the old multiplayer modes and I'm excited to see what they'll do now. Hope we get more info on it.
I’m going to keep saying this, the assassins creed netflix project legit has the opportunity to be one of the most creative video game adaptions, my pitch is simple as this. One of the things that the games offers are diverse settings in each game, so if assassins creed gets a live action show, why not make each season takes place in a different setting, for example if they did it for the original games AC1 would be season 1 and it’s the crusades, but then season 2 is AC2 with ezio but since ezio is a popular character and want to see his story continue he gets another season or season 3 which would be brotherhood and then season 4 would be revelations. Netflix has done this type of season work or storytelling with Narcos, season 1 and 2 followed Pablo Escobar, season 3 was the Cali cartel, then they had narcos Mexico with the Guadalajara cartel and then later seasons tackled El Chapo. So Netflix has an opportunity to tackle settings we might not see in the games, how about a Wild West season with an assassin cowboy, then next season can be an assassin in the Meji restoration in Japan or maybe the same assassin from the Wild West and just make a “The Last Samurai” type season where the cowboy assassin becomes a samurai and fights the losing battle against the Templars and the newly formed empire of Japan. Netflix legit has a rare opportunity to make a show so creative and fresh and bring in many types of audiences because each season can be its own thing and assassins creed is the key to that
I am excited no matter what. As a fan of Assassin's Creed, I hope Ubisoft is cooking with the projects they have. I hope Jade gets some form of support on consoles and PC. Shadows will obviously be amazing if you ask me. They've really taken their time and even delayed the game to make sure it's good. It does seem like too many projects are coming out, though, and I hope the Black Flag Remake is great. I also pray that the co-op Shadows mode that is rumored alongside the multiplayer game is better than what we've heard. Also, from what I've heard, the Netflix series is supposedly not trying to follow the games like Witcher.
I don't know have you heard it or not... but like around 15-ish hour ago (as of this comment is being created), AC has finally announcing a collaboration with the game Reverse 1999, don't know what it's about in details but it was confirmed nonetheless by Bluepoch (the developer of Reverse 1999) themselves.
I doubt that UB soft will do a 100% remake of assassin's creed Black flag they'll probably just update the graphics adding some more bits and pieces and then set it at a outrageous Unfair price..
I just finished AC3 Remastered last month. I played AC1-3 as a kid but hadn’t in over a decade. I realized I had AC4 but never played it so I was pleasantly surprised when I started playing again. It’s so fun having a new experience of an old game as a new game. And bc I’m on my AC binge, I bought unity on the Xbox marketplace for $4😂
I remember when I heard about the Netflix colab. But the way Netflix is going, it won't happen. Netflix is pricing themselves out of business. They're losing so many subscribers it's ridiculous.but when it comes to shadows, I really hope i don't have to pre-order it again since I was refunded it because it was delayed. That would suck if I had to.
I've waited for Assassin's Creed set in Japan since back when AC3 and Black Flag came out, there were even teases in those games for it. Idk why it took so long to do this setting.
I wish Invictus was more like unity. Coop in unity is so fire and having a stand-alone game that is all about being able to play the game with friends through and through and not limited to just free roam or specific missions. With the tech we have today what they could do with it would be insane
I’m just curious, if they do make and release a Black Flag Remake, would it be similar to Odyssey in that it is open world on a grand scale and you can visit all kinds of islands and what not?
Happy New Year! Jade will probably be released and I reckon it'll do well. The mobile gaming market is huge especially in Asia, and it seems most similar to Odyssey, which was very successful. AC BF is my favorite and I'm hyped for the remake, yet also extremely worried about the changes they'll most likely make. Also imo the visuals and naval mechanics of Skull and Bones are way worse than BF's was, so them reusing those doesn't sound good to me at all.
I think I am the only one who did not mind the tailing missions in AC Black Flag. I honestly never thought that there were too many of them, but each their own
Assassin's Creed Shadows is the first game in a new phase. The idea of it being part of a trilogy in what it is is unknown. So the current phase is Phase 3. So you have Assassin's Creed - AC Syndicate (PHASE 1), Assassin's Creed Origins - AC Mirage (PHASE 2) and then Shadows, Codename Hexe, Invictus, and Codename Nebula are part of the new and current PHASE 3.
I think ubisoft need to learn how to delay a game, rather than setting a deadline and releasing it no matter what because in my humble opinion that has been the problem.
What happened to the whole live service hub thing? It's looking like they aren't doing it anymore, or it's not coming any time soon. I feel like the Black Flag Remake will actually be a Remaster like how Horizon Zero Dawn was rumored to have a Remake, but it was actually a Remaster. They've already Remastered several other AC games, so I think it's most likely a Remaster.
I need help understanding. In assassin's creed lineage Borja and Giovanni obviously dislike eachother. But in AC2 what is set after their all best friends and obviously borja ends up betraying them. But how does the borja go from Giovannis worst enemy to his best friend even though the war is still going between assassins and Templars. Ive played for years and still don't understand
6:29 regular updates is crazy :D i remember when Mirage came out it took them 4 months to fix few quests that were bugging out unless you restart the game like 30 times :D:D
I was a playtester for the beta for ac jade, i can tell you the main reason for the delay, and it's because of optimisation issues with android devices. Specifically, the samsung galaxy devices they were usually getting testers on. Samsung use 2 different chipsets, in the same devices, so when trying to optimise for one device, they completely forgot about the other version. Simply put, they would have realised that development for mobile, is not as simple as it is for pc. It ran terribly on my exynos s20, whereas snapdragon users were reporting solid frames and no heating issues.
@TheHiddenOne690 yeah they use snapdragon chips mostly in the Chinese and US Samsung phones, over here in Europe we get shafted. Either way, that's less ubisofts problem than it is some high courts somewhere.
How about they showed us the backstory of Al-Mualim in the netflix series?Or Yuzuf Tasim?Or Ezio helping Aguilar during the spanish Inquisition. That would be interesting
Marketing has been very sparse for Ubisoft's lifeline and there hasn't been much news. I won't hold my breath and think that the game gets delayed. Again.
I'm excited for this game but what I can't get my head around is how does it fit into the story and the lore like all the ac we've ever had going back to ac1 with its story I just wished they'd keep all the ac games with a story like it was back in Ac1
I don't like at all the rumours about AC Invictus. That isn't AC Multiplayer at all. Just hope they turn back and get inspiration on older multiplayers.
hi does anyone know when we will be able to pre-order it on steam it is there it is present but just to put it in the wish list I can't wait to buy it I'm waiting for it to be available and does anyone know ?
You know half these rumours are cap when you look at the sheer congestion of it all. Its so unrealistic, especially for ubisoft, to pump out this many games in one year. And if they do, its not going to be quality. A Black Flag remake before AC1 and AC2? Let that sink in. A remake is a whole new game. The rumours have to be bs just based on that. I bet we'll just get AC Shadows this year, nothing more, nothing less.
What would be funny is that if Ubisoft does end up getting bankrupt, people would suddenly cry and ask for them to come back when they come across a game that was "too hard to handle" for whatever reasons. Ubisoft game formula has become outdated sure, but their games undeniably "easy to handle" for better or worse. People could go "Ubisoft, we're sorry too harsh on you and we're sorry for praying for you downfall. Please come back." That would be amusing to see.
Well, I would love to see this happen mainly just so people can whine and complain and regret, begging Ubisoft to crash and burn, I don’t see this happening at all. Because if shadows does good, it’s not going to save the company, but it’s gonna buy the company more time and if Ubisoft is smart, they’ll actually learn their lesson and actually tried to release banger after banger again . And doing that should hopefully get them back on their feet, but if all should fail, someone is going to buy them out and we all know who’s going to buy them out. I think it’s inevitable at this point. Ubisoft isn’t going anywhere. They just have two roads, Make a good game and then continue that until you’re back on your feet or be bought out and the good news is the company that will possibly buy them out when they buy out a game company. Nothing really changes too much with like the game studios release slate so assassin‘s Creed should be fine
I don’t care what the internet says about AC Shadows,I will buy it day one and play the shit out of it I didn’t care what they said about Rise of the ronin,Dragon Age the veilguard or Star Wars Outlaws, I still bought them and enjoyed them. I actually platinumed the first two games mentioned
Honestly, Animus Hub sounds like a HORRIBLE idea. If its anything like CoD HQ - which I'm getting the vibes of - will only gonna make people hate it. Edit: Actually what happened to AC Shadows having Co Op? Everyone else remembers that right?
I really want to hear more information about the Netflx series surprisingly I want to know if it will have a new character and assassin, or adapt a story and character from the games like The Last of Us and The Witcher? If so it will probably be Ezio
4:10 "Assassin's Creed Indentity" for mobile you could also create your own character Ps: or maybe you mean not to choose one to play, but really CREATE one

And bc I’m on my AC binge, I bought unity on the Xbox marketplace for $4😂
Any updates on Hexe? the supposed to be another project same with the Shadows which is formerly called Red?
Nothing new except for the protagonist being called Elsa and she can take control of animals. That's pretty much it
I remember when I heard about the Netflix colab.
This year also marks the 10th anniversary for The Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate!
If shadows fails, Ubisoft will fall, so, we’re pretty sure those games will be masterpieces
one thing that ubisoft could do to prevent them from bankruptcy is remaking ezio trilogy
At least ghost of yotei and gta 6 should be nice. Sorry about your favorite game company dude
Ubisoft aren't my favourite game company. You are confusing assassin's creed franchise with the entire company.
AC Jade seems to have the same quality/fidelity as AC Liberations witch is good, the improved texture quality etc and probably added more missions
Happy new year bro
I think I am the only one who did not mind the tailing missions in AC Black Flag. I honestly never thought that there were too many of them, but each their own
Assassin's Creed Shadows is the first game in a new phase. The idea of it being part of a trilogy in what it is is unknown. So the current phase is Phase 3. So you have Assassin's Creed - AC Syndicate (PHASE 1), Assassin's Creed Origins - AC Mirage (PHASE 2) and then Shadows, Codename Hexe, Invictus, and Codename Nebula are part of the new and current PHASE 3.
My top 3 Ubisoft genre games are the Assassins Creed Series(Before Odyssey) Watch Dogs(First one only), and both The Divisions.
to not mention Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 in the beginning segment is criminal
I also didn't mention about 6-7 other games I will play. It's nothing personal.
I agree. When Ubisoft wont to remake a game, than the shold start with AC1. After that the Ezio Collection, than AC3 and after that Black Flag.
Can't wait for assassin's creed jade! 🗣️
And I will consume NOTHING 😂
I think ubisoft need to learn how to delay a game, rather than setting a deadline and releasing it no matter what because in my humble opinion that has been the problem.
Shadows combat looks like, well, Valhalla. I do not know what I was expecting, but a bit more than that.
Jade is most likely being saved for Switch 2.
They can't flop Shadows or it's over
Who they
Roadhouse
Ubisoft. They’re on the brink of bankruptcy.
6:29 regular updates is crazy :D
i remember when Mirage came out it took them 4 months to fix few quests that were bugging out unless you restart the game like 30 times :D:D
It ran terribly on my exynos s20, whereas snapdragon users were reporting solid frames and no heating issues.
oh damn i assume thats probably because of snapdragon being a phone very prominent in china
@TheHiddenOne690 yeah they use snapdragon chips mostly in the Chinese and US Samsung phones, over here in Europe we get shafted. Either way, that's less ubisofts problem than it is some high courts somewhere.
I don’t play it, but genshin looks like it has better graphics than code name Jade
1:42 my Sister has Birthday at that day so I can’t 😂
While I do love Black Flag, what I want more is to play a PC version of AC1 on console
How about they showed us the backstory of Al-Mualim in the netflix series?Or Yuzuf Tasim?Or Ezio helping Aguilar during the spanish Inquisition. That would be interesting
Valentine’s Day is my birthday, so I’m excited for shadows
Me too!
That’s either very fortunate or very unfortunate, which one?
@@matthewkendrick8280we’re going to find out. Bet it’s good.
@@matthewkendrick8280 fortunate
@@Jacoiss birthday buddies :)
2025 is gonna be so much better than 2024.
Shadows, Crimson Desert, GTA VI.
I hope for AC 4 remake they fix that side objective bug in Sequence 8 memory 2.
hi does anyone know when we will be able to pre-order it on steam it is there it is present but just to put it in the wish list I can't wait to buy it I'm waiting for it to be available and does anyone know ?
I just want AC Shadows and a PC full-fledged version of AC Jade!
I bet we'll just get AC Shadows this year, nothing more, nothing less.
preorders are not available.........i have had this preordered at gamestop since it was announced last year.
They just have two roads,
Make a good game and then continue that until you’re back on your feet or be bought out and the good news is the company that will possibly buy them out when they buy out a game company. Nothing really changes too much with like the game studios release slate so assassin‘s Creed should be fine
@@Ghost_-nz5dy True, getting bought out by Tencent has got to be a worse fate than crashing and burning if you ask me.
I think Ubisoft or Tencent is waiting for the next nintendo switch to release AC Jade as a launch title
theres a theory about jade that theyre waiting to be a launch title for the switch 2
I don’t care what the internet says about AC Shadows,I will buy it day one and play the shit out of it
I didn’t care what they said about Rise of the ronin,Dragon Age the veilguard or Star Wars Outlaws, I still bought them and enjoyed them. I actually platinumed the first two games mentioned
Your a Sony fan boy. You literally eat feces.
Honestly, Animus Hub sounds like a HORRIBLE idea. If its anything like CoD HQ - which I'm getting the vibes of - will only gonna make people hate it.
Edit: Actually what happened to AC Shadows having Co Op? Everyone else remembers that right?
I’d love a really good AC1 remake
OH UBISOFT IM ON MY KNEES BEGGING PLEASE PLEASE FINALLY MAKE SOMETHING GOOD I BEG YOU UBISOFT PLEASE DONT FUCK UP THESE PROJECTS
I really want to hear more information about the Netflx series surprisingly I want to know if it will have a new character and assassin, or adapt a story and character from the games like The Last of Us and The Witcher? If so it will probably be Ezio
We want ezio story in Netflix
4:10 "Assassin's Creed Indentity" for mobile you could also create your own character
Ps: or maybe you mean not to choose one to play, but really CREATE one
