The engine governor is also on the end of the camshaft instead of being separately driven by a gear, the valves as well as the spark plug enter the cylinder head at an angle which is very unusual for an L-head engine, and the breaker points are in their own housing, driven by a plunger which rides a lobe on the camshaft.
Another very good job.....many of these small Japanese engines seem to be made for many uses. Water pumping? Perhaps to drive powered gardening machines?

我楽多道さんこんばんは今画像を見ました。我楽多道さんが修理しているホンダの昔のガソリンエンジンは私は昨日ヤフオクで落札したクボタガソリンエンジンLG型と全く同じ型です。
我楽多道さんこんにちは相沢です。今日の夕方佐川急便が来て商品を届けてもらいました。クボタガソリンエンジンはマフラーとフイルターカバーとあっちこっち錆びだらです。その分貫禄あります。ちなみに年季は入っています。
良いものを見させて頂きました。

昔のプラグと今のプラグでは山のピッチが違ったりするのですか？
コイルはネジ穴より少し大きめに作られていて、中で弾力が働いているので基本緩まないようです。
これは昨今のピッチと同じですが古いものでは穴径が一回り二回り大きなものがありますね～

カップ上の細いパッキンでしょうか？
そうですね～部品が無ければあり合わせで流用することになりますね。

この古い汎用エンジンを再生した努力と技術には感心します。でも塗装はやり直した方が良かったのではないでしょうか？
機械や道具（銃器・刃物も含む）は実用に供するために存在しており、
古さ自慢やオークションで売り飛ばすために有るものではないから。
居るんですよね。オリジナル性がどうとかといいながらわざと錆びたままにする戯けが。
そうした輩は機械の事を何も考えていない。
ただ、古い機械などを所有していると周囲にマウンティングかましたいだけの輩ども。
だから、機械を再生したならそうした輩との悪縁を断ち切り、
もう一度現役復活させる（非常用発電などの動力源などに用いる）ために再塗装したほうがいいんです。

その辺は持ち主の趣味嗜好ですね。私は雰囲気の方が大事なので塗装は基本しません。
塗るも塗らぬも自己満足です。

燃料タンクの錆は、足のマッサージ機（足首を乗せて左右にスライドする奴）の上に皿を固定し、タンク内に小石、パチンコ玉など異形金属を突っ込んでタイマーをセットして放置しておけば、あら不思議ｗｗｗ

あの板は言わばキルスイッチですね。
15:35のように指でプラグに押し付けることで点火を止めます。
