Appetizers are getting ridiculous. I think the meaning of the word got lost over the years. They're now meals in themselves, and they cost just as much as the meals. Appetizers are intended to just whet your appetite, hence the name, not to fill your stomach. They should be renamed to Meals without Sides.

I went to Ireland several years ago with my grown daughter. We loved it! I did not know there were that many shades of green. Beautiful! Craggy coasts, giant deer in the national forest right next to a fairytale town and the cutest cows and the castles and history, the beautiful churches and the stained glass. The people were kind and friendly with the best accents and even the drivers sang as they drove the bus. Delicious comfort food and butter like I’ve never tasted. And so much more. My favorite part was the cemetery outside of Dublin. The sculptures and massive headstones that marked the graves were so moving and set n such beautiful, well-kept tree filled grounds. Las Vegas here - For a half day trip from Las Vegas see the Valley of Fire State Park. A Full day trip is Zion National Park. There are tours from Las Vegas to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. The main Grand Canyon park should really be a overnight trip ( make hotel reservations NOW ) , however really worth it. In the Las Vegas area there is Red Rock national Park. It's also a day trip to Death Valley National Park. Look at the Vegas entertainment schedule far ahead of time to get tickets - otherwise it's resale prices. Be aware of dramatic climate changes depending on location.

The things he pointed out were all superficial. That’s the issue. The problem is, if America sneezes, the west catches a cold. It influences us to a ridiculous degree. We have been bombarded with all the time with the ideology of the day, which in recent years that has been detrimental to America and the west, and watched with horror as we knew we were next. Thankfully, and I am not a Donald Trump fan, enough Americans have had a gut full and by voting for Mr. Trump, I hope the reset to common sense has begun. We all need to remember we share the planet with 8.2 billion people. Our opinions are ours, they are not any better or important than anyone else’s. We need to find a way to re learning how to have discussions with people of diverse opinions and how we navigate our way to a common ground. First step would be mandating places of learning be exactly that, without political bias or interference. I don’t hate America but I don’t admire it like I used to. Maybe that is about to change.

@katrinawong8273 Why are you so angry with us? We are struggling with the same issues. We have families in poverty as well! 5/7 kids here don't even know where they're getting their next meal from. We have a waitlist of 5-10 years for low income housing, so homelessness is extremely high in some cities, over 60% of Americans are filling bankruptcy because of medical expenses, children are dropping out of school due to bullying and school shootings, leading to mental illness and higher suicide rates, dirty drinking water, families that can't afford to put their kids in college anymore, or kids that can't go to college anymore, at a higher rate, because of the cost, and the cost of living here has increased so much it's hard to buy underwear! It's not our job to take care of your country or other countries, it's our job to take care of ours and protect it! Your government needs to do the same!

Disney used to be affordable to visit and you could keep getting back in line and ride a ride over and over with no long line to wait in.
I've moved to the Space coast of Florida. I can see the space shuttle take off from my front yard. It's nicer by the beach and not crowded like O-town, as we locals always called it.

I live in Tennessee and absolutely love it. But I'd love to visit the UK. Scotland and Ireland, to be specific. Y'all may not have the things we have, but that doesn't decrease the value of your homeland. My town has a population of 561 and the nearest shopping town is about 30 minutes away. The only deliveries we get here in the mountains are mail, UPS, FedEx, and things of that nature. No Uber. No taxis. No Domino's Pizza. We have to have a vehicle or someone who can take us into town. And that's not a bad thing. I've lived in large cities and enjoyed the busy life when I was younger, but have decided to settle down in a small town where the pace is a bit slower. You may not appreciate what you have now, but I trust that one day, you'll be able to see the beauty of it and come to love it as we love our nation. Hi Adam! For your Las Vegas trip, I would recommend Zion National Park (Utah) Arches National Park (Utah), the Grand Canyon (Arizona), Lake Tahoe which is a lake on the border of Nevada and California, or Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming). All of them are absolutely gorgeous, and I would say all of them (except Lake Tahoe) have something unique you would NEVER see in the UK. Yellowstone has the Grand Prismatic Spring (a thermal lake with a rainbow of colors--look it up!) and Ol' Faithful (a giant geyser with regular eruptions about once every hour) and a lot more than just that, Arches has beautiful rock arches in the desert, the Grand Canyon is a steep canyon made by the Colorado River, and Zion is most known for its canyon and forests. Theres a hike you can do in The Narrows where you're in ankle deep up to waist deep in the river. Have fun and bring that Go Pro!

Several years ago, my wife and I traveled to Dublin for St. Patrick's Day. We spent 3 or 4 days there, and then we were to travel to Scotland. The plan was to take a bus from Dublin to Belfast and then catch a ferry to Scotland.
Well, we got to Belfast. The weather was not what it needed to be to make the ferry trip across on that day. No problem, we'll try again tomorrow. We found lodging and then the local pub.
Once we were in the pub, we were shown to a nice booth and treated like guests.
We started with a couple of pints. Well, along comes an older gentleman, and he introduces himself. He asked if he could join us. Of course, we said yes.
This was the start of one of the best evenings of our trip.
He was very well spoken, charismatic and knew the history of Belfast like no one else.
We had pints, dinner and conversation for hours. He told us about the construction of the Titanic and the history of Northern Ireland. He was a charming man.
All good things must eventually come to an end, and this evening was no different. In the end, he would not allow me to pay one pence for any of the food and drinks.
I've often seen Europeans talking about Southern hospitality... This gentleman on this occasion, showed my wife and me that things really aren't that different after all.
    This man was a gem!

You have to come to Savannah, Georgia. Friendliness, characters, beauty like no where else and amazing food! The best time to visit is in late February, March, and April. Savannah has the second largest St. Patrick’s celebration, next to New York City in the USA. However, I’d only recommend you come during St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations if it falls on a weekday, not a weekend. The weekday, St. Patrick’s celebrations are better because only locals get the entire day off the attend. On the weekends, the crowds swell to well over 100,00 or 200,000 people from all over the place. It’s so busy and crowded then you won’t have access to the restaurants or the opportunity to see the real Savannah. Do not come in the summer, but I’ll bet my bank you and your family will fall in love with the place.

Salsa dear... the tomato dip is salsa. You can make it yourself with some basic ingredients. Ripe tomatoes, purple onion, fresh cilantro, hot peppers (you can make it with just a jalapeño or two if you want mild heat, you'll have better flavor with more varieties though. I use jalapeño, poblano, Serrano (they're a little warmer), and a couple Fresno chilis), lime juice, garlic, and salt. Dice tomato and onion to roughly 1 cm cubes, mince peppers very fine (I have a small food processor that I use to chop them to a paste, add a bit of tomato to the processor so it has enough volume to really get to all the pepper), mix the pepper paste, garlic, salt to taste, and lime juice into your diced veggies. Can be eaten straight away but will be better if you let it sit in the fridge for a couple hours. The salt and lime juice will draw out juices from the tomato and onion and pepper and help blend all the flavors.
This is a VERY basic salsa, but it will give you a place to start. Experiment with different spices and play with it until you get a flavor you enjoy, it's also a fairly healthy condiment as it's just chopped veggies and some salt!

If you like Donuts - Donut Man in Glendora, CA is world famous, and Knott's Berry Farm for some boysenberry jam and Fried Chicken. I'd 275% recommend Knotts. Cheapest real them park with actual coasters, old West/ Snoopy theme... Food is meh, though, just walk up the street for some Mexican food LOL unless the Boysenberry Festival is going on.
For any So Cal people reading this, Halloween Haunt nights are great DAYS to visit the park! Because they close early to set up for the Haunt, so many less people go in the day that you can ride EVERYTHING with little wait times, and they'll often let you just ride again, if you want to stay on the ride. 😉

@plaguedoctor5657 This objectively isn't true. Most of western Europe is more developed and scores higher in every metric of human living standards like lack of poverty, access to Healthcare, rates of mentally illness and addiction, access to basic needs and housing, longer lifespan, higher rates of happiness and human fulfilments, higher social trust and cohesion, less crime. The list goes on and on... facts don't care about your feelings.

    • @LC-wv7tz
      @LC-wv7tz 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@thedeviouspanda They don't really, though. Not in large numbers and not in the long term. Young people from those countries sometimes move here for a few years for work or school, but most of them return to their home country. The one thing USA has is more money and higher wages. Some people do come to the USA for a few years to make good money, but when they want to start a life and settle most return to their home country which has better living standards.
There's a tiny minority of people that stay because they are career-first and want to work at the giant American tech (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, etc) companies or big finance or legal firms. Those people remain in the states. But that's a teeny tiny sunset of people and doesn't represent the average person at all. Life for the average person in the US is pretty shit. The quality of life and standard of living for the average person is much better in most of Europe. Spend some time traveling and see what you're missing.
