James Arness (May 26, 1923 - June 3, 2011)
It's been 11 years since Jim left us, yet he continues to touch us every day. I made a tribute video for him a few years back, and this is an UPDATED version of that video. I hope you all will enjoy it, and continue to be as awed and inspired, by this very special man as I am.

No one could ever replace him..the show ..or the cast..thankyou . I' m 73 and grew up in this era. I watched and am still watching. Thankyou Father. This made my heart so happy. God bless all of us that yet remain avid fans. Ir gives hope to this world. God's blessings.
He sure was the greatest actor of all times .

As James Wise noted in his introduction to JA's autobiography, "The actor and the character he portrayed on TV for twenty years are one and the same. Both are honest and strong, born leaders. Few actors are cast in a role that so deeply fits their true selves. Fortunately for all of us who spent a good part of our lives watching Gunsmoke, Jim Arness is one of them."

Hi, Deneen! Thank you so much for all of that, I really appreciate it. :) ... Gunsmoke Fans Connection is a wonderful page, and I miss seeing it on Facebook. But, no, it's not mine. Fans Connection was run by a good friend of mine, and hopefully it will be back on Facebook again some day. Fingers crossed! It was the best Gunsmoke page on FB, in my opinion, and not just because they were kind enough to do so much to help promote my own Facebook page, James Arness Forum, but because they had unique, fun and informative content, and an admin who really knows her stuff and loves the show more than anyone I know. ... I do post puzzles on Jigsaw Planet, so I'm glad you've found them! I don't advertise them outside of our Proboards forum: Jamesarness.Proboards.Com but I know they get shared by our members sometimes. We have a lot more puzzles on our forum, too (slider puzzles, crosswords, memory games, etc.), if you're looking for some different puzzles to try. ... Thanks again for your kind words.
