Thank you for the feedback! I find it hard to make that part interesting and I'm always so focused, so it's hard to film anything useful while I'm designing. I appreciate the valuable feedback.
I think it's so cool that I can model and fabricate intricate parts, that would otherwise be hard to make with other tools, at home using my 3D-printer. Such a great technology! (Bodge fixes are also fun though :D)
@@franetimalaga I see. Not sure how to replace that part. There should be a springy type mechanism there that grabs the part sticking out from the lid. I don't think I've seen someone repair that part before unfortunately. If the complete "gripper" is missing in that hole I would consider some kind of friction fit against the lid part. Maybe 3D-print something in TPU. You wouldn't get the push to open/close function, but at least the lid would stay in place. And then just gently pull at the sides or the top part to open it.
I have the same monitor, but I'm missing the entire front panel AND the "pin" on the right has broken off. Do you know of anyone who makes and sells (or, at least, provides STLs for) the entire front door?
Useful little video. Do you plan to release the models anywhere?
Yes! I'll upload the model on Thingiverse. I forgot, so thank you for reminding me. I'll update the description with the link.

Awesome job, thank you so much!
I really enjoyed the "designing it in Fusion" time lapse! Good work!

This is realy good workaround, ill be using this on my broken lid❤️
Nice, good to hear 👍🏻😊
Nice work. Back on the day I just bodged a screw in my 1084s hinge.

thank you for your help! I was able to fix my monitor lid with it!
That's awesome! You're welcome and thanks for letting me know. 😊
Nice Work. How much dedication!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for this video and the part! I have it and now works but where the lid fits, it doesn't make click (black hole). Any idea?
Thank you 😊 I'm not sure I fully understand. Is it the part where you push to open and close the lid you have trouble with?
@@HAGSLAB hi! Thanks for your quick reply. I mean the black tabs, over the button GREEN. Inside this “black hole” is empty!

@@HAGSLAB exactly, I didn’t see nothing to print in 3d… difficult to create it? thanks for the ideas. Kind regards.

I'm not sure, but I would try Thingiverse and Printables for an STL. It would be cool if someone made "professional" remakes though.
