All-New Honda CR-V Launch [Walkaround Review] - THE ULTIMATE SUV | YS Khong Driving

- Honda has launched their All-New CR-V today. We did a walkaround for the RS variant, which is the 2.0L e:HEV model.
The All-New CR-V is moving to the next level by making the car more Premium and Bigger in size. The wheelbase is 40mm longer than the previous generation, increasing the stability and interior space. The car now comes in 5 colors and Canyon River Blue Metallic is the new color for the All-New CR-V.
The e:HEV drivetrain is new to Honda CR-V and it electric motor output 184PS and 335Nm providing an excellent 5.0L/100km fuel economy. The All-New CR-V have 3 drive modes, Sport, Normal and ECON.
As for the S, E and V variants, they are all powered by improved 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine from the previous generation, and giving the option of 2WD for the S and E variant while the V variant gets AWD.
Entertainment features such as 9" Display, USB Ports, Head Up Display (HUD), Wireless Charger (15W) and 12 BOSE speakers (only available in RS variant). All variant are now capable to be controlled by the Honda CONNECT, where user able to remotely control the All-New CR-V via smartphone.
Safety Assist comes standard for all variants, such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Low Speed Follow (LSF), Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB).

E- RM169,900
S- RM159,900 (RM2,000 off for 750 units - RM157,900)

Thank u uncle YS for the vid!I was a Honda fan till the switch to CVT. I’m not a CVT fan. Elastic band acceleration, whirling noise when drive hard. CVT cannot withstand hard driving! Honda has strong outstanding engines but pair with CVT is a complete disappointment to me. Hope Honda will come back with 6/7/8 speeds AT gearbox or a more reliable 7/8 speed DCT transmission!

Macam very good, design superb, the moment you own the car that where the problem you will see in Honda. But overall not all brand give the extra space and option, so vice versa.....
The overall package is quite good; most of the boxes are ticked.

At half the price! I think Honda is sizing up - this strategy is not new: look at the new suv's being introduced - many are upsizing to give more value for money. Im this case, Honda is also going more premium to increase appeal.

Great video. Few questions.
1. Is this a PHEV?
2. Does the main light have Dynamic High Beam? it is called in many different names by different manufacturers. Ex: ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) by Jaguar, BladeScan Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) by Lexus, LED array Adaptive High Beam by Toyota. It is not an automatic high beam OR low beam. It is on high beam all the time EXCEPT for the preceeding or oncoming traffic where it would be low beam.
Does this new Honda have that feature?
Yes, the car in the video is the eHEV. Yes it has auto high beam

Is it like Bladescan or LED array technology which is very specific where the high and low beam are applied SIMULTANEOUSLY, or is it just the old fashion high OR low beam that has been there for ever? Should have a 2.0L Turbo non hybrid engine instead of 1.5L Turbo
That would be an interesting suv. How about an 8 speed auto or a dct too? Then you would have to sell it at RM260k, then there would be other comments on the price.
Packaging a vehicle also includes making it within a certain desired cost factor, because like it or not, affordability is an issue.

One sure benefit of cvt is good fuel consumption, which is one main reason wjy it is popular. The average man in the street doesn't care what trsnsmission is in the vehicle.
@@YSKhongDriving They will when the CVT goes out early. CVT's are weak transmissions, and are not known for their longevity.
