Recipe (2 servings)
• Vodka Sauce
o Onion (half, diced)
o Garlic (1 clove, finely chopped)
o Chilli flakes (optional)
o Tomato Puree (2 tablespoons)
o Vodka (33ml)
o Cream (75ml)
• Breaded Chicken
o One chicken breast
o Veg/Frying oil
o Egg
o Flour
o Breadcrumbs
o Chicken seasoning
• Pasta of your choice
• Parmesan to serve
Method
Vodka Sauce
1. Medium heat, fry the diced onion and garlic in olive oil for 5 minutes.
2. Add chilli flakes, salt and pepper. Cook for a couple minutes.
3. Add tomato puree and cook out for couple minutes
4. Add vodka and cook out most of the liquid
5. Add cream and turn off heat until ready to serve
Breaded Chicken
1. Butterfly the chicken breast and flatten out with a rolling pin
2. Heat a wide pan over a medium heat with about 2cm of oil (enough to shallow fry the chicken).
3. Coat the chicken in the flour, then the egg, finally in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
a. Fry the chicken for around 4 minutes on both sides until cooked through and crispy, season with salt immediately after removing from oil
b. At the same time, cook your pasta.
Assembly
1. Reheat your vodka sauce, adding a little of the pasta water.
2. Mix the pasta through the sauce, adding more pasta water if needed, and a grating of parmesan
3. Serve with the sliced chicken on top.
4. PARMESAN!

My favourite witch fact (as a woman who works in the beer industry) is that women were the OG brewers long before it became a male dominated industry - and that they were subject to a smear campaign in the 1500s by men calling them witches so they could get their market share! Wild! Proud to be a beer witch today - and speaking of pride - congratulations on finally making that big purchase. You deserve it 🎉
Ahh my favourite witch in fiction has to be Kiki! Living the absolute dream of flying in the clouds, selling (and smelling) bread and pastries, and cats! 😍🥰 Also the chat between Kiki and Ursula about artists block always makes me emotional (as an artist myself and someone who’s struggled with my mental health) 🥺 just such a beautiful movie.

one of my favourite witches is from a book called bitterthorn !! she's initially a grumpy isolated witch who slowly learns to love and trust again when she falls for a woman who has been sent away to her castle. the whole book is so magical and beautiful and the ending is so heart warming. similar to what I imagine rewitched will be like !!
My favourite witch is Willow from Buffy 🙌 she went from such a timid, insecure girl to a powerhouse of a woman without ever losing who she is!
My witchy family member was my nan, I used to spend 3-4 days a week at her house during the school holidays. We would drink hot chocolate and watch charmed, and Sabrina the teenage witch. She was obsessed with cats and would exclusively wear jumpers with pictures of them. She knew every cat in the local town. She made the summer holidays so special and I miss her so much.
(Not particularly witchy but we would also play poker and bet buttons as well as having an unlimited amount of fudge)

My favourite fictional witch is Manon Blackbeak. She’s beautiful, tough, and brave. But most importantly she was able to see her faults and rather than hide or justify herself she changed - which can be the hardest thing to do. Ugh I LOVE her ☺️

My favorite witch is a German classic. Her name is Bibi Blocksberg. I loved her growing up because of the friendships she had and the adventures she went on and of course the lessons she learned about her power along the way. I used to listen to her stories when falling asleep as a child on cassettes. ❤❤ I am so excited for your adventure with Rewitched ❤❤

my favourite childhood witch was Lilli the witch - I loooved the German book series by Knister! Lilli had the best red hair, a pet dragon, and a grumpy mentor and she was cheeky, clever, fun, and kind and would rather read in her spellbook than do homework.
My favourite fictional Witch is Luna Lovegood ✨ She is a character that really resonated with me as a teenager reading the HP books for the first time. Her whimsical and quirky personality drew me in immediately and she’s a character that has stuck with me into adulthood, because she reminds me that it’s ok to be a little different to the crowd - individuality is beautiful! 💛

The film and storyline means a lot to me and reminds me of my nanna. I love the depiction that witches can and do have good intentions and should not be feared! Glinda (in The Wizard of Oz) has a special place in my heart because she was the first good witch I watched/read about! I remember watching The Wizard of Oz as a child and being shocked that a witch could be beautiful and kind 😂 it was the start of my love of magic and fantasy! (Also honourable mention to Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch - every witch needs a cat BFF!)
When I was growing up my hero was Hermione Granger! That witch knew how to work hard! Her inspirational work with SPEW! And the sacrifice she made is something that always chokes me up- especially when she wiped her parents memories of her to protect them. Her bravery and strength was so inspirational! X
Favourite witch will always be Sabrina! I rewatched the whole series not long ago and it was still as magical as it was when I watched it when I was a kid. I love that the series looks at so many different kinds of love and how incredible some of the outfits are.
Here’s a bit of a personal witchy life fact - I grew up reading Harry Potter, thinking I’d turn out like Hermione Granger, but my teaching career has absolutely led me to be more of a Professor McGonagall complete with teacher glare and ‘have a biscuit Potter’ behaviours

The most witchy person in our family was my aunty Jess (actually my great aunt). We have so many stories about her from being a ballerina to accidentally groping a sailor, getting stuck knickers up in a car, eating dog biscuits by accident. Yet always looking put together and pulling things off. She was like a fun, glitzy clumsy witch 🧙 ❤

When I was travelling in Central America I made friends with a girl who was training to be a witch. One evening in a hostel in Guatemala a handful of us spontaneously joined her for a full moon ritual. Felt like the ultimate witchy girlhood bonding experience 💕
Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda from Sabrina the Teenage Witch are two of my favourite witches. I love how they both always have Sabrina's best interest at heart and they're so funny! My favourite episode is when they turn into teenagers so they can watch after Sabrina at the CD signing 😁
My favourite witchy moment was watching taylor sing who’s afraid of little old me! It felt like it called back to any woman who’s ever been feared because she’s too powerful 🧙
I don’t know that I have a specific favorite witch character, but I love the idea of witches being viewed more positively in this stage of history. A little bit of witchy magic and the joy that can inspire has probably been my favorite part of the “witch”. I’ve got a lot of great witch characters in mind and am really, really looking forward to getting to know yours in Rewitched 🖤
Sabrina the teenage witch was such a great tv show for our family. It got my twin daughters through stressful school years and it was lovely sitting down being taken into a magical world away from reality. Iconic show and we can’t wait to read your book which will also be iconic! Xx
My favourite witch has to be Piper Halliwell, I always felt like she was such a relatable character for all the ways she wasn’t perfect. It was very inspirational to me how she dealt with all the challenges she faced as a sister and a wife.
My favourite fictional witch is Cassie Nightingale from The Good Witch. I love how she always uses her powers for good and the show itself is just the ultimate cosy autumn watch!! ✨
My favourite witch is Willow Rosenberg from Buffy! 🥰 Not only is she a super powerful badass, I loved how empathetic she was, how clever, and how (like all of us) she still had the same insecurities and social awkwardness we all struggle with in school. Plus, she was the first gay character I saw on screen who I could relate to. Like her saying "I think I'm kinda gay" was a life-changer ☺️

Secondly, my favorite witch is hands down Bonnie Bennett ✨ She's honestly such a real badass and always down to help her friends and family when they're in trouble - which is about 99.9% of the time 🤭
My favorite witch has to be my mom who happens to know an herb, a tea or food for any discomfort we are feeling (we come from indigenous Brazilian background). I love her witchy (alternative) approach to anything, nature before pharmaceuticals ✨🔮 (don’t get me wrong, we also trust science 😅)

Sally and Gillian Owen’s in Practical Magic! They are 2 of my favourite fictional witches because you see the downside as well as the good of having powers and trying to fit in to a ‘normal’ society. And you see them bring the family (and town) together in the end 🩷

My favourite witch is Piper Halliwell from Charmed. Have been obsessed with Charmed since as long as I can remember and rewatch it every autumn. Piper was my favourite because she was similar to me in personality. Always feel very nostalgic watching it, my school friends and I would watch it weekly and discuss at school the next day.

Luna Lovegood is by far my favourite witch. She's just living her best life, not hurting anyone, just being her unapologetic self whilst loving her friends and supporting them anyway she can. I have so many favourite witchy characters but when reading discovery of witches a couple of years ago I fell in love with Diana! And then the tv adaptation was released and I couldn’t have imagined her any better, I love how she comes into her power and her need to pursue the truth no matter how painful it may be. I loved how even though witches and demons and vampires weren’t suppose to mix that she sort those relationships out and they naturally blossomed against the adversity and fear of those who tried to prevent it. I felt it was such a powerful message to send and a side note for her aunts who were equally awesome witches! I cannot wait to get my hands on your book and have new witchy characters to love and follow along on their journey☺️🇺🇸🧙🏼🔮✨

The witches from Charmed just bring back so many memories. I used to watch Charmed everyday after school (I live in France and it used to be on tv everyday) and just felt so cosy and calming after school. I don’t think i could choose who was my favorite though ! Xx
Mildred Hubble has always been my favorite witch because she reminds me so much of my childhood! I loved the Worst Witch when I was little! She’s clumsy and makes mistakes, but she never gives up. Watching her try her best was really comforting for me as a natural born perfectionist. Mildred's story brings back those memories of growing up and figuring things out through girlhood ❤

My favourite witch is hands down Luna Lovegood. I just love the way she is her own person and in her own world and has fully accepted that people think she is weird. Her rollmodel helped me a lot when I was a teen to learn to accept myself. Also I am hoping that Rewitched might have the magic power to get me out of the massive reading slump I have been in for several years now. I could do with getting lost between some pages again :)
My favourite witch is from a catalan cartoon tv/show called “les tres bessones” which would be “the triplets”. Its sooo nostalgic to me, i was obsessed when i was a child and all the merch they could possible realease, i had haha! Im excited to read your book xx kisses from Barcelona ❤

Very cliched but my favourite witch will always be Hermione Granger as she kept me company throughout childhood and beyond. She taught me that being smart and bookish is not a bad thing and you can still be fierce, strong and brave. Oh my favourite has to be Samantha from Bewitched. I grew up watching that (I’m not as old as the show, but it was a staple on tv). I would pretend to be like her so often.
But as a random witchy fact - my mum and her friends are a coven. I love it even though I would never tell her that! 🤣
The Worst Witch - Mildred Hubble, will forever be in my heart! I used to listen to the audiobooks in the car in primary school with my siblings and come autumn we used to make broomsticks and play witches outside after school. That started the love of witchy magic stories which will forever be my cosy read to this day! 🥰
I think my favourite witch would be Sarah Bishop from the All Souls Trilogy (A Discovery of Witches). She isn't the main character but to me just emulates what a modern day witch would be. She's older than what most characters in a fantasy book would be , is sassy, down-to-earth and fiery, I just love her. xx
My favourite witch is Molly Weasley! There's something extra magic about love and softness being the fire to fuel a badass flame. So excited to read Rewitched!
This is so corny but my favourite witch was from a Portuguese TV channel, she used to come on late at night and it was how the channel would say good night to all the kids watching, she would sing a good night song and she had a little green dragon! It was so cute and it reminds me of my childhood! So she number one for me ✨✨

I’ve recently read ‘Heartless Hunter’ and it got me out of a pretty nasty reading slump so I am very grateful for the witchy fantasy-romance that got me into reading more than one book a month again 💜 Also the tv-show Charmed deserves to have all the praise when it comes to awakening my love for witches. I was obsessed with that show and it was my go to series to watch with my mother when I was a teen 🍁✨🧡

My favourite witch is Kiki 🎀❤️ I grew up watching Ghibli movies so it’s so nostalgic and I always connected to her character🌿 The story is so beautiful
I suppose, at my advanced age, I have to say that my favourite witch has to be Samantha from Bewitched. I used to love to imagine myself as a wee fledgling magic wielder and tried so hard to master wiggling my nose. Alas, I never got the hang of it, so had to settle for a makeshift wand (a stick from the park) and a dramatic flick of the wrist to enact my spells. I also loved Endora - her mother - because she was just so darned naughty. Looking back, I can recognise what a fine actress Agnes Moorehead was. She absolutely embodied unpredictable skullduggery - in an acceptably wholesome manner 😁 The thing I am most looking forward to in reading your book is recapturing the cosy feeling of snuggling up on the couch with my favourite witch whilst she solves the latest crisis in her life. It will be a total nostalgia trip for me - and that is no bad thing. I wish you every success with the launch, Lucy. I know it will be wonderfully successful - which you fully deserve after all your hard work ❤
It's so hard to pick a favourite witch! But I would say Tiffany Aching is the witch that made me believe in magic. All the small mundane things that aren't fireworks and sparkles but the things that just need to Get Done and require a bit of extra help. Such an original idea and she has always stuck with me!

Even though it doesn’t have a specific witch in it, I really enjoyed the themes of witchcraft back in the 1600’s and how the power of women really caused a stir and fear amongst men in charge. My aunts are quite magical in their own way. They always seem to have the perfect essential oil for any mood, and their home is filled with colorful gemstones, tucked into every corner, each one chosen for its unique energy. There’s a quiet magic in everything they do, making the everyday feel that bit more enchanted. ✨I’ve already ordered the book, but I would still be thrilled to receive the american edition.

My favourite witch is from a series of books by Nancy Warren “the vampire knitting club”. Yes it’s about witches, vampires and knitting. Lucy discovers she is a witch after inheriting her late Grandmothers wool shop. It’s a cosy, witchy, nonesense filled read.
How absolutely wonderful! Little silly ‘fact’: my favourite book for years was The Crucible after studying it at school. A little bit dark, now I come to think about it! My favourite witch is Nymphadora Tonks from Harry Potter. She is a really powerful witch with an incredible ability of Metamorphmagus (ability to change form). Also I love that even though she is a talented witch she is still rather clumsy and has a great sense of humour! ✨

My dear old great nanny Doll who passed last year. Not only was she one hell of a witchy gal but always made crochetting granny square blankets look like some sort of Olympic sport. Plus she always said that the 5+ sugars that she’d have in her tea was the secret medicine to a long and happy life.

Favorite witch : Maleficient - Mainly for being such a badass woman with insane powers and a dark figure of the sleeping beauty. It's such a complex caratacter, i mean, she curses a child to teach parents manners... She's portrayed as a dark, selfish, heartless woman but only to prevent herself from her only weakness : love.
