As a swimmer, I love doing this. I feel like my lungs are expanding while doing it and also feel like I breath better when I’m done. Such amazing/interesting training
As ex-competitive swimmer 15 years ago, I still swim 50m underwater without have (never) learn scuba technique XD A lot of my team mate did it at that time, it was not so tricky, it was a funny game to do at the end of the training session. This video can't impress me as many people in comments here, a lot of boys and girls into competitive swim can do it (it becomes more difficult when you swim 50m underwater in a straight lane, without pushing on the wall of 25m). Of course I admire the technique of this swimmer and the way she does it easily in very short time... but people here call "unbelivable" something "average" for a 15-16yo competitive swimmer. It's the time and the style, not the distance, the reason to admire her. I really like the precision, control and smoothness of he glide underwater (and the fact she could repeat and repeat without losing performance, I guess).
Because the SHORTS can only go for 1min. Check out my 147m DNF video - full length :)th-cam.com/video/9_RAIqEk5rE/w-d-xo.html&lc=Ugy16nA_xEfc7Mwaccl4AaABAg
Context : competitive swimmers mostly understand the term DNF. As : Did not finish In the free diving world it has a different definition : Dynamic no Fin Small miscommunication, however I hope this helps !
Keep up the great i swim a descent amount of competitive swimming and coudnt even touch 30m without a dive and some serious pain incredibly impressive keep up the good work
Ослепительная красота исполнения! Это настоящий шедевр! Нам не показали видео до конца. Модет быть, там 75 метров было, а мы не увидели. Теперь очень хотелось бы увидеть видео без свинцового груза
I tried packing air in my lungs like she did and it felt harder to hold my breath than normal towards the end of the video. Almost coughed multiple times
So odd... I did this as a child to help hold my breath longer and see how many laps of our pool I could do in one breath. I didn't know this was a practice then, it just seemed to help holding it longer and it also felt a little easier if I let small amounts of air out, just so I didn't feel like it was too much pressure in my lungs. Tip I also somehow realized when swimming in our pool as a kid...if you get water in your ear, tap your head lightly onto the surface of the water on the side that is full, so your ear fully hits the water's surface quickly. It seems the water that gets forced in quickly with the tap somehow pulls the stuck water out with it. Do not know the physics of it but, always worked for me.😊
@@Graceswims Of course it’s is, holding your breath out of water and in water are 2 extremely different things. Maybe next time, say it in a better manner, who knows, maybe more people will agree with you?
Beautiful, I used to cross the pond and rover in my village using this method, in the river the idea was always to float in a way you can use the buoyancy and flow of the river
Most of us including me would be able to hold our breath as long as she us. However shes swimming and moving under the water which takes up to 2.2x more oxygen. So really this is impressive as hell.
I’ve noticed her movements are very calm, strong and slimline, I think this must help with oxygen consumption. It’s fascinating to see this level of control and expertise, It’s scary to me though tbh 😮
I held my breath for the whole vid not to be rude but im 13 and i can do it 😅 no hate on them and they also hadn't done it in a while. they did so well. THE SWIMMING 😱 OMG HOW THEY GO SO FAST

Getting breath less 😂😂😂
Everyone is talking about the breath holding but I’m really impressed by how far the person glides in the water with each kick and stroke
This is the point, breath holding and distance is something average for every competitive swimmer. Here we can admire the technique.

Thank you for including what the letters DNF stood for because I find that they can stand for a lot of different things depending on your interests.
Truth. In book clubs it means 'Did Not Finish' as in, it sucked. 😅
