I now understand my mission in life - to build a career in music on a throwaway riff from a Sparks song.

And of course, Edgar Wright's love for the group shines throughout the documentary. Would recommend to anyone who has a taste in any music

I must have been one of the first guys in my hometown of Bochum, Germany to have followed the Sparks. That was in 1972/73/74 - most of my friends looked at me sideways when I mentioned them as my favorite band .... until they heard their first three albums (Sparks, Kimono my House and Propaganda) - then they understood...
Greatest lyrics of their time with quirky social observation their strength, plus simply excellent music and arrangement

A SPARKS documentary by EDGAR WRIGHT! I might just die of excitement. Already a huge fan of Edgar's, and what you might call a "half-finished" Sparks fan... I lost a good friend to cancer in 2014. He was only 34, an absolutely lovely guy, and was a massive Sparks fan. I'm 56 now, so I remember This Town on TotP in the 1970s, but Pete gave me a glimpse of how much deeper the rabbit hole goes. I've still explored only some of it. I'll watch this film and remember my friend Pete, and perhaps I should spend more time exploring this unique and iconic band as well.

I had never heard of them but their music I think is out there genius, maybe 20 years too early though, before their time as they say, are they having fun or are they messing with our minds who knows.
Shout out to their brilliant mum bringing them up when dad passed away so young and encouraging their love of music even driving them to concerts that were many many miles away.

I love these guys' ability to adapt to whatever style of music is popular at any time. Not to mention the big-name producers they've worked with such as Todd Rundgren, Muff Winwood and Giorgio Moroder. AND Todd and Jane Wiedlin are now on their way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Awesome! You may be right, that’s why there’s so little actual footage of them young, therefore all the animation bits. And like a lot of people on here I only ever found out about them a year or two ago. This just may be a big hoax, and all these people are in on it. They’re gonna wait for posers to be like “I knew about Sparks the whole time, I was a fan in the ‘70’s & ‘80’s” then they’re going to bust them all by revealing the big secret. You my man, are a real genius!
