Yeah it's really cool honestly! I love the engine setting, I think it's ideal for people who are at different levels, it can really help the one who is less experienced, while the one who usually can win doesn't get the help and so the game is way more balanced, and that could encourage less skilled players to play more! I think it's very cool!

Really like that Chessnut EVO is an integrated system. No smart phone, computer, nor tablet computer required, which eliminates bluetooth connection problems and frees up those devices for other tasks. Playing chess on-screen does nothing to prepare you to play chess over-the-board (OTB). Seeing, feeling, and touching actual chess pieces is important. Imagine future developments that enable the Chessnut EVO board to automatically move opponent's pieces. That would be so cool!

@@Blunder_Man As much as I like the idea of auto moving opponent's pieces, I wonder how Chessnut engineers would handle the problem of knights jumping over chess pieces???

I love my chessnut air but not for timed matches because once it gets down to the wire with the few milliseconds left, it is hard to move their pieces and your own. But for longer timed or untimed games, it is a great option..
Yes I think it's definitely more difficult to use with faster time controls!

I just ordered the Chessnut Go earlier today. I might get something like the Evo in the future but I'm a complete novice. I've only played a couple of games as a kid for about a week or two so will be interesting when I receive my chessboard. Is the tablet part detachable, that would make it better for storage, replacing tablet etc.?

I grew up in Northern Ireland but have moved a lot in my life, I don't think it's detachable, but I know they do sell cases that seem great for moving them around.
