Like you, I am teaching my grandson this piece and I know he will play it with great feeling. And like you, I bought him his first Steinway when he was seven years old.Thank you for your beautiful playing, your story and the in-depth explanation.
Lots of interesting facts about the composer, his inspiration from folk music and his compositional technique. Your rendition is well thought through, though inner voices sometimes dominate, even when they are not leading. Many thanks for championing Grainger-very interesting underrated composer in my opinion.
Wow, amazing video. I'm glad that someone else shares my appreciation for grainger's work. I look forward to watching more of your vids. Also, thanks for leaving the right pedal depressed until the sound decays completely. I find that many recordings release the pedal too early.
Hi Cole - great video of one my faves also. It’s seriously hard to do what you did with the voicing. I live in Melbourne, the home of the Grainger museum (in fact it’s part of the University of Melbourne where I’ve just retired from!). It’s a fabulous place, and the artefacts are rotated frequently. I hope you can visit it one day (perhaps you already have).

Such an interesting preamble and a lovely rendition. Quite splendid.
Thank you!
GREAT VIDEO! Lots of interesting information and a BEAUTIFUL performance! Thanks VERY much!
Thank you!
Interesting arrangement where the melody "hides" in the middle of the chords and travels between right and left hands.
Thank you!
Your voicing in the piece is absolutely wonderful. Thank you ❤

My pleasure-thank you for watching!
My Nan and Mum sung this to me as a kid, gret video. Thanks.
I loved this.
