Dave's quote reminded me of my Dad. On Saturday 26 January 1963 my dad went to the El Rio, club in Macclesfield, U.K. to see a little known band called The Beatles. His words to his mate after they left were "I like this band. I think they'll go far".
Liam was furious in this show, it was Guns and roses big comeback and Oasis was opening it, Liam didnt know till was too late, the show had like 50 min and Liam going away with "F#ck you very much", legendary Rock in Rio.
not exactly, he wasn't addicted to heroin but to cocaine and suffered panic attacks when he quit it & also took valium as a substitute for a period of time hence the title Gas Panic!
Hah, saw Noel do this live at Bingfest this year, i forgot it was actually an Oasis song until it got going, it fit so well amongst his High Flying Birds repertoire. That crowd was hilarious - loads of big blokes just stood there blocking everyone else's view, arms folded, completely uninterested in the HFB stuff until he started doing a few Oasis songs towards the end. Meanwhile, all the kids around them, liking all the HFB stuff and me there, loving the whole set. I was mildly upset that he didn't do Everybody's on the Run, among the HFB stuff but i'll take what i can get. Great day at the fest for me.
Oasis’s first drummer was Tony Mccaroll and then was kicked out and replaced by Allen white who left after their 5 album (2004). Then Zak starkey (ringo stars son) was an honorary member and played drums on their last two albums. But in 2008 he left and was replaced by Chris Sharrock who drummed until oasis split up in 2009
Thanks for this one Same chick....I knew Dave would like the jamming....lol and the Rotating Leslie on Noel's guitar hookup.....but he missed the beginning when Liam said "Dave knows what that means"..... He'd love their big hard rock hit...."D'you know what I mean"
Steve White was a the for Paul wellers solo band. Him and some of another great band called ocean colour scene another great English band. This song is about the panic attacks noel had from doing loads of Charlie noel ending up stopping in 98 -99
You guys should start listening to the jam and paul weller (the modfather) in general, if you like english bands youll love the jam. Weller was a big influence on noel g. Steve white has played drums for p weller for 35 years, thats how alan white got the gig with oasis.
I really dig Noel’s guitar playing on this. Perfectly understated. Thanks guys, appreciate you both. Ill give one more plug for Dirt Miller’s D1. It’s a beautiful song with great guitar playing and haunting background strings. th-cam.com/video/CC9Hr6vPTQ8/w-d-xo.html
At first oasis carried on with out noel under the name beady eye but they split after 2 albums andy bell went back to his original band ride and the rest joined noels band. Then a couple of years later liam went solo now having one of the original oasis members bonehead.
@onestoneindaista4372 he did actually join liams solo band it was only at first he only came out for the oasis tunes I've seen him do both he was meant to be at knebworth but he was doing his cancer treatment. I was at knebworth 2nd night and started shivering turned out I'd got pneumonia.
dave i know you love oasis , i do believe you have listened to radiohead they are coming out with a new album soon but there is many tracks that you may have missed for example full stop and pyramid any chance you doing some mukka.
A lot of Radiohead stuff gets blocked. Almost everything Dave has reacted to except the one live gig in that basement venue. Even a Thom Yorke solo effort got blocked so we kind of have given up because it's a disappointment when that happens.
@@samechick not sure if you have any ‘Stone Roses’ on your channel for the same reason? From Manchester (like Oasis) but formed in the mid 80’s. Think Dave will really dig the drummer. The ‘magic’ on this upload starts around 4 minutes 30 seconds in th-cam.com/video/2BfnXX7EvhM/w-d-xo.html
@@samechick strange as radiohead given free would it be to the new changes where you have to stop the music and give some thoughts then start it from pause again ?

"This one's for those who suck balls" 😆 LG is such a character 🤣
I was there that day. Rock in Rio III. Good memories ❤
Amazing! You chose the best Gas Panic live version ever!! I loved the reaction 👏👏👏
In my opinion I like the version from Wembley 2000
@@stevens5541 It isn’t. But is really good too 👍
My Favourite is from Yokohama 2000
Definitely the best live performance of this all time classic. Berlin 2002 is also epic. ✌️👍✌️

Alan White from Oasis and Steve White are brothers and occasionally covered Alan when injured, Steve also plays with Paul Weller.
Nobody mentioned that BOTH brothers are wearing shades at NIGHT-TIME? 🌃 That's Oasis... 101. 😎 #HighAnxiety
This song is about going 'Cold Turkey.'

@@jonasrmb01 Thank you
Have you done Headshrinker Live By The Sea? It's Punk RnR Man! Also the Guitar is a Gibson Non Reverse Firebird! Cheers Dave 🍻

You must be getting mixed up with another song. Noel has never performed this with the high flying birds.
I suggest "slide away"live it's a great song
Love the live version of this song ❤️❤️
Saw them twice on this tour ... Happy times
Best reaction channel on TH-cam for Oasis👏👏👏👏👏
Alan White was oasis drummer Steve is his brother who stood in for Alan when he had hand problems for a tour.
great underrated song, their best drummer too for me.

Hello friend, greetings from Córdoba Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷 I am so glad that you react to Oasis. The biggest band in the world...
Helloooooo!

It's a shame Dave you didn't watch the wembley Stadium 2000 version as this gig the sound mix doesn't do the song justice
Great song

Alan white and Noel on this are SO good
Really nice tune 👍for Dave's information, it's not a Gibson Explorer, it's a Gibson Firebird with non reverse head 😉
I will let him know! TYVM =)
Gibson Firebird
I was there!!! 😊
Jack White plays drums as well 😀
Amazing

If I can’t get more Tool I will take more Oasis 😎
It’s a Gibson firebird
AmaOng that video and reaction love oasis.... any Gary numan reactions planned? If not could I suggest one
Here's one: th-cam.com/video/_znlq7UcBSo/w-d-xo.html and here's another: th-cam.com/video/yAvEk-p0FnM/w-d-xo.html =)
Funnily enough Gem is literally pronounced "Gem" as in - not "Jem" as most people pronounce it. It has a hard G sound, much like "Game" or "arGue".
We eventually figured that out!
Gibson firebird non reverse
Dave Noel’s best solo songs are probably…if I had a gun…..what a life….the death of you and me
Gibson Fire Bird

Alan White😊
far better version than at wembley
Alan White is Steve White’s younger brother … and he’s better than Alan White from Yes! And yes I said it!
At first oasis carried on with out noel under the name beady eye but they split after 2 albums andy bell went back to his original band ride and the rest joined noels band. Then a couple of years later liam went solo now having one of the original oasis members bonehead.
Bonehead play sometimes with liam .. not always
@onestoneindaista4372 he did actually join liams solo band it was only at first he only came out for the oasis tunes I've seen him do both he was meant to be at knebworth but he was doing his cancer treatment. I was at knebworth 2nd night and started shivering turned out I'd got pneumonia.
Comparing this to Aerosmith is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Mini Cooper.
Whatever Live at Knebworth.
this song sounded much better live in Wembley 2000
