I went to IKEA yesterday to buy a sofa, but I came across this gaming station. Then I thought it might be a good alternative for a study desk that I’ve been looking for. I was considering buying a desk with walls on all sides from Amazon, but yesterday I saw a similar desk at IKEA. However, it was quite pricey at $599 USD, and more importantly, the desk seemed too small to hold both my laptop and textbooks at the same time. But this gaming station has enough space to view both my textbooks and laptop together, so I’m considering buying it.
Seems like a great place for the iMac since you don't need a tower at the bottom so you have more space for your feet (and 400$ is just crazy btw - in Austria we only have to pay 200€/180$ for this)
In my opinion, if you want a hidden PC setup, this is a good option if you don't want to DIY it. Other than that, I don't see the benefit of this, since I think some people can just DIY it using boltless rack as a base.
I like the desk, although I already have a bigger one. But it should make a nice second desk in the living room. Too bad you can't adjust the height at all. I problably missed it, but what is the height of the tabletop? Thank you for always putting so much effort in your videos, it really shows and there is so much useful information in this video.
Thanks for the review, I was in IKEA nearby but didn't see this desk on display. Can working at a desk really make you feel like you don't have enough fresh air?
I think it's more because this feels like a closet PC setup, some people might feel claustrophobic. I don't really have that kind of problem, so to each their own.
@@MASViper For me, this is the biggest advantage, that after finishing work I can close it like a wardrobe and I won't think about work :) I'm waiting until the IKEA near me has a desk on display. I need to try on whether the monitor base will fit on the shelf, can you measure the distance from the monitor shelf to this sheet metal?
@@piotrzylowicz7465You mean like in 07:48 ? According to this video, the height is 49 cm. If you don't want to install the top shelf, add 32 cm on top of that.
@@dragoljubzdravkovic1737 it takes time to do voice over. Using subtitle only, I find it faster and easier for me, since i am buat, this way helps me a lot. But yeah i understand, some people like it the other way. Starting this October, i am going to do voice over again for long videos format. Short videos, just subs only.
Oh wow, that's unfortunate. I also asked the Austrian IKEA support where it has gone since I couldn't find it on the website and they told me it will come back online later that week (so last week) but since then nothing happened

Why dont you do voiceover/audio narrative anymore?
Personally found it very soothing and easier to understand your opinion regarding the product...
couldn't agree more

I wish they make it custom like 140x60
But then the doors will be 75 cm wide each.
We went to buy this today, they said it had a design fault and is no longer sold. UK.
@@MrTaz500 yeahh i just notice it, i can't find it on the website & the display product is also gone.

you have a mistake in the video title, change it from BRANNBROLL to BRÄNNBOLL
