Acclaim always spelled Raiden's name like that in the console versions of Mortal Kombat for some reason. The Arcade versions have the original spelling though.

In one hand we have the sound effects and music of the SNES and on the other hand we have the great sprites and graphics of the Genesis version, I've always loved the details of the characters (that look bigger than the Nintendo version) looking so close to the arcade. One of the best Mortal Kombat conversion for a home console ever. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just played the SNES version and I realize just how shitty the Genesis import is. The music is absolutely terrible here. It doesn't have any of the arcade sound and gameplay like the SNES.
Because they're fanboys. Like they call themselves adults and STILL can't see most genesis ports for how objectively inferior they were to the SNES ports.

MK2 was such a huge improvement from MK1 in so many ways, the jump was unbelievable at the time
Before I used to like mk1 and mk2 even now I like mk2 outta that whole sega Era mk3 was good but was too overwhelming

Kitana is one of the characters on the game not to play with. She will come aggressive when u fight her. But she is one of my favorites in the game .
The only good thing of the Genesis port is the Fatality image moving, drops of blood and humming sound.
