Oh you genious woman! I love how your artistic brain thinks and how you thrift it into brilliant creations. This one is fantastic. I'm so fed up with with all the dollar store content creators that are all making the same darn thing. They run to a dollar store, spend a fortune buying perfectly good items, come home and slap a coat of paint on or rip off a decorative top, and at the end it it they stand back and say, "I just love this and hope you do too". They are all copying one another from project to project right down to what they even say. The final item just cost them big bucks and if you look closely when a lot display them in their home or by their own trees, you will notice that most of them don't have anything on their tree, or mantle, where ever, that they've made them selves, in any of their own videos. It disturbs me greatly. This is why I love artistic content creators like you that actually create things out of nothing, or thrifted items. As you said today. No two are really going to be alike. I realize we all buy craft supplies and there are projects we need to pick up certain items for (as in the acrylic clear balls) but I say, enough is enough of all this dollar store recreate, nonsense. Bravo and hats off to you for bringing us true DIY's. Today was one of the best. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦 ps. Thanks for hearing me lol.
Wow... Nora... you made my day! I really strive to bring you something 'new' and not repetitive. Meaning... with over 500 videos I don't want to have repeated the 'same' thing over and over. Maybe the same technique used differently, or a different application... but something you learn from. It's challenging with 3 videos a week while running the shop on my own too but... it's my own pressure so it's okay. I do get a lot of criticism for not having 'slick' videos with great lighting and editing but... given I'm doing it myself I'm okay with that... for me it's about the exchange of ideas. Some you'll like, some you won't, some you'll see how you can twist it or build on it to make it your own... but... hopefully... there's a thread of inspiration running through there for you each time. There's really two different focuses to a TH-cam channel... to make money or to share knowledge/information. My focus is on the latter... with the hope that down the road it translates into a bigger contribution toward the shop rent (wouldn't that be nice!!) but... it's about the sharing and exchange of information that is at the heart of my channel. It's never going to be perfect... and I'm okay with that. My email buzzes daily with 3 or 4 content creators offering me advice (for a large fee) for making my channel better... and to make more $$.. I'm deleting them because their advice is to copy those doing what you described... for quick views and quick cash. I like money as much as the next guy/gal but... not at any cost.
Yes ! I too am fed up with the Dollar Tree make overs, we don't have DT in Australia anyway. Recycling with thrifted items is the true crafty way to go! ❤❤
Kathryn... I had the crystal one in my mind forever but once I started talking (and thinking) about other looks and options... I want to make one of each too! (I'm kind of stuck on a tarnished silver look idea...)
Really pretty. I have tons of old crystal, some very fragile and a boat load of dishes. There not worth anything on their own so I have been thinking of doing things like this or garden statues. Please do more. ❤️🇨🇦
I have never seen anything like this. It is the most ingenious, interesting and beautiful tree. Now I just need to keep on the lookout for the perfect components for one of my own. Thanks for the inspiration and tutorial.
Thanks... me too! It's sitting on the table beside me in the shop so I can love it until it's sold. (of course if it doesn't sell then it's mine for Christmas!. Kind of a win:win!)
Pretty piece and a great way to reuse dishes that sit on thrift store shelves and collect dust. I think the bottom two pieces look like a mushroom. So cool. TFS 😊
Excellent video. A good suggestion is to go to the Goodwill bins where glassware is very cheap like $0.30 a pound and there you can find a lot of glassware to use in a project like this. Also, rummage sales are excellent too because prices are very low. HAPPY CRAFTING TO ALL 😁🎄🌟
I know... they really do make a difference! I used the glass in keeping with the piece to keep the translucency - I plan to add some little string lights for the evening.... but you can vary the spacers depending upon the overall look. I think they are needed to separate the bowls and create more of a 'branches' look!
I didn't have little lights at the shop at the time but... have tried it with them since. It really looks great with them. I love the idea of the copper and think a lot of the old tarnished silver plated pieces would also make for a cool vintage look.
The tree turned out amazing, I thought added fairy lights or a small battery candle under the trunk would look really nice, too. Thanks for sharing! I'm now on the hunt for some glass bowls,
I'm all in on the idea of the lights too... coming through all of the cut crystal... it's going to look great! I will say it's easiest to find some of the key pieces at the same time for sizing... and grab up any glass items you can use as 'spacers'!!
Thank you! I believe in repurposing and that includes finding beautiful items at the thrift store! There is so much glass and crystal being thrown out that I don't feel guilty when using it in crafts... better than landfills!!! (and so much prettier than plastic!!)
Another great idea Cindy ❤ love unique pcs it turned out great. I am going to go through my stash tomorrow and see what I can come up with. I made a snowman last year from a couple of glass round tea light holders and a glass toothpick holder that is in the shape of a top hat. 💐💐💐
I didn't have too hard a time finding a glass bell but... look for small cloches, maybe even an old glass or crystal salt shaker... lots of other options if need be!
Because i used the spaces to keep the 'layers' distinct I don't know if I would... the balancing point of an unglued section would be a little tenuous I think. Given its breakable nature I wouldn't feel comfortable. That said though, it would depend upon the styling of your piece and whether you are able to have a section that is more stable unglued than mine would have been.
Absolutely!!! Since I used an open glass sconce as the base (you could use an inverted vase too for the same effect)... the entire base can be filled with the fairy lights!
for all of the glass pieces that I thrifted, including the small candlesticks and salt cellars I used as spacers the total cost (apart from the glue used) came out to $26
Add fairy lights into the open base... build it into a little vignette. I would put it up on a little raised pedestal, surround it with some winter greenery and maybe perhaps some of your favourite Christmas figurines... angels would be lovely.
I went to the Goodwill store My got some of their stuff was higher than where you can go buy a brand new it's unreal that even on thrift stores is sky high just ridiculous😮
I am finding that the thrift stores are definitely raising their prices... I only go on seniors day (with 30%) off, or with a 20% off coupon... and even then there are some things that I pass by because they are too pricey... even with discounts!! Clear glass items (even a lot of crystal) doesn't sell particularly well so you can sometimes find people selling Lot boxes of it... I then use these for projects but... you often don't want to be storing miscellaneous 'stuff' just-in-case... lest your house start to look like the space behind me in my videos!!
Hi, I’m based in the UK and had no success with the E6000 , my trees fell apart. When I read the teeny tiny print on the tube, I found that my work area was too cold for it to cure completely. All trial and error when creating though 😅
Generally E6000 really bonds well with glass... I didn't know about the cold aspect myself so thank you for that. My workshop isn't the warmest but the work table is right under a heater so I lucked out!
I appreciate that Barbara but... it's always going to be that way LOL!! I pull things from the stash for makeovers but find more to add in! Trust me... there is no other angle in the shop that would not be just as 'busy'!
Love the Christmas Tree! Please spell out the word Christmas instead of Xmas. Always put Christ in Christmas! ❤. You have some really hateful followers. I had all kinds of Hateful messages after I posted this. It was posted for 7 days and you never took it off your Feed! They called me names and told me I knew nothing about the Christ! That Christmas was not his Birthday! That he was not Ever on a Cross! You should not condone these Nasty remarks! Please check your Feeds!
I love how it turned out too!! (unfortunately the TH-cam Algorithm loved Xmas more than Christmas for this video... it had a greater search statistic... only reason I choose one word over any other)
It would be beautiful with warm white or coloured mini lights around it. Lovely.
The lights would really show it off, wouldn’t they?

I absolutely love this Christmas tree, so beautiful ❤
I'm with you! One of my favourite things I've made in a while!
Love this-so many of those things go into the landfills every year-recycling at its best!
Clear glass pieces are definitely a big landfill item... merging them together like this really does give them a new life!!
I'm definitely going to try this, thank you 😊
Awesome!! that makes me happy!!!
I did it today, so pleased
Oh, man Gina... I wish TH-cam let you post pictures... I'd love to see it! So glad you love the result!!!
its so pretty. some little fairy lights in the bottom would make the whole thing sparkle.!!
Absolutely! Using the clear crystal definitely lends itself to lights!!
Absolutely Stunning & Beautiful!!!
Thanks so much, I agree!!
Brilliant! I love antique glassware and pottery and this is a great way to enjoy it!
I think so too… !
Love this idea and all the possibilities you suggested 💖
It really does open up a ton of possibilities!
I am intrigued! Such a wonderful idea: I want to make 1 of each of the types you discussed! Thanks, it is gorgeous.
Kathryn... I had the crystal one in my mind forever but once I started talking (and thinking) about other looks and options... I want to make one of each too! (I'm kind of stuck on a tarnished silver look idea...)
It is absolutely gorgeous!!
thank you Charlene!
Beautiful
Thanks so much Vicki!
Absolutely love this Cindy!!
Me too Nicole... one of my better ideas!!
This is beautiful and I will try making it. Need a trip to Savers or Goodwill. Thank you.
Good luck finding some great bowls to use! Usually most thrift stores have a good selection...
Really pretty. I have tons of old crystal, some very fragile and a boat load of dishes. There not worth anything on their own so I have been thinking of doing things like this or garden statues. Please do more. ❤️🇨🇦
It sounds like you're ahead of the game with the stash you have!
That is beautiful
Thank you Mary - I'm loving the finished piece too!
I have never seen anything like this. It is the most ingenious, interesting and beautiful tree. Now I just need to keep on the lookout for the perfect components for one of my own. Thanks for the inspiration and tutorial.
You are most welcome Tina… I hope you are able to find everything you need with minimal searching!
That is absolutely gorgeous? Wish I could make one.❤
It really did turn out nice... and easy enough to do which is a bonus!
Love this ❤
Thanks... me too! It's sitting on the table beside me in the shop so I can love it until it's sold. (of course if it doesn't sell then it's mine for Christmas!. Kind of a win:win!)
Fantastic Cindy! Love the way the top bowl scalloping looks like icicles!
It was the perfect find! I had a different bowl for that spot until I found this one!!
OMG this is absolutely beautiful- I think I might try and make one of these- it would look gorgeous with a fake candle in the bottom xx
Or fairy lights! I really love this - I think you'll be happy with the one you create!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for the inspiration. ❤
You are most welcome Shirley!! 😊
I’ve never seen anything like this. Lovely!
Thanks Dorothy... lots of options on this one, depending upon the look and types of the bowls used... though this version lights up really well!!
I saw this idea on Pinterest a couple of months ago and have been collecting bowls, etc 😊 great tips on gluing it in stages
Perfect, you're well ahead of the game! I'm sure you'll love the finished piece!
Love it with all glass! Fairy lights under the stand might be pretty too, hopefully they'd reflect up thru the top! Either way ,very pretty!
Definitely the lights for this one... the advantage of the clear glass!!
Morning Cindy! 😮 Gorgeous!! I love this one. Great way to upcycle and reuse items with tons of options. Thanks for sharing this one. 😊
I didn't take a picture of it in the dark... but think little twinkle lights wound around and tucked under the base!
@@QueenBeeCreationsyes!! Must remember that 😊
What a beautiful ( and expensive looking) glass tree. I can imagine it with little bee lights wrapped under the bowls!❤
It really does look expensive… but thrifted finds only! And… it does look fabulous with lights!
The Krystle Christmas tree turned out, just splendid!❤️
I love that word "splendid" ... fits perfectly!!!
Absolutely bueatiful !!
Thanks Anita!
@QueenBeeCreations Your very welcome 😉
Pretty piece and a great way to reuse dishes that sit on thrift store shelves and collect dust. I think the bottom two pieces look like a mushroom. So cool. TFS 😊
You could definitely do this to make mushrooms for the garden!!
Good morning Cindy! Looks beautiful! Love, love the bell as the top! Thank you for sharing!
It seemed like the perfect little topper for it Patti!!
It’s beautiful Cindy. Thank you so much. .
Thank you! I think it's a great project for folks who want something a little bit unique.
So very beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful tree💗💜
Thank you Nancy... I loved the idea but love the result even more!!

HAPPY CRAFTING TO ALL 😁🎄🌟
I am jealous that you have Goodwill Bins!! If you've got 'em though... they are a 'must'!!
These are beautiful as garden ornements
Would certainly work for the garden...
Absolutely lovely. Love it.
Thanks Mattie... I'm kinda loving it myself!!
Thank you, thank you for the spacer idea.
I know... they really do make a difference! Pretty tree! 😊
Thanks - I like how it turned out!
That is beautiful , I wonder how it would look with lights? Another neat idea would be copper pieces!
I didn't have little lights at the shop at the time but... have tried it with them since. It really looks great with them. I love the idea of the copper and think a lot of the old tarnished silver plated pieces would also make for a cool vintage look.
@@QueenBeeCreations yes i agree
Gotta try this!
I'm really happy with the results... the hardest part was just finding and picking out the bowls I wanted to use... which really isn't a hardship!!
The tree turned out amazing, I thought added fairy lights or a small battery candle under the trunk would look really nice, too. Thanks for sharing! I'm now on the hunt for some glass bowls,

I'm so glad you are using thrifted GLASS and not some Dollar Tree PLASTIC made by Chinese slave labor. The results are beautiful.
Thank you! I believe in repurposing and that includes finding beautiful items at the thrift store! There is so much glass and crystal being thrown out that I don't feel guilty when using it in crafts... better than landfills!!! (and so much prettier than plastic!!)

@@QueenBeeCreations I will upload a photo tomorrow 👍
Very nice
Thanks Bridget!
LOVE how it came out! How did you come up with this idea - it's gorgeous! Will have to start looking for a glass bell! ❤
I didn't have too hard a time finding a glass bell but... look for small cloches, maybe even an old glass or crystal salt shaker... lots of other options if need be!
I absolutely LOVE this!! Would you suggest leaving one join unglued for easy storage?
Because i used the spaces to keep the 'layers' distinct I don't know if I would... the balancing point of an unglued section would be a little tenuous I think. Given its breakable nature I wouldn't feel comfortable. That said though, it would depend upon the styling of your piece and whether you are able to have a section that is more stable unglued than mine would have been.

Could you put fairy lights around it?
Absolutely!!! Since I used an open glass sconce as the base (you could use an inverted vase too for the same effect)... the entire base can be filled with the fairy lights!
Really lovely, genius! Can you please tell us how much it cost all together?
for all of the glass pieces that I thrifted, including the small candlesticks and salt cellars I used as spacers the total cost (apart from the glue used) came out to $26
@QueenBeeCreations Thank you!
Would look great with lights under the base for showing on viedo
I've since put lights under it as per everyone's comments... it does look great... just not in time for the video though!
I wish I could see how you do use it.
Add fairy lights into the open base... build it into a little vignette. I would put it up on a little raised pedestal, surround it with some winter greenery and maybe perhaps some of your favourite Christmas figurines... angels would be lovely.
Have you seen the snow man out of glass?
No, I haven’t… that sounds cool though…
@QueenBeeCreations takes a lot less glass, round vessels
I can picture it... I did make a snowman out of glass globes one year but with snow and christmas village type of thing inside...
@QueenBeeCreations I also wondered about adding lights.
I went to the Goodwill store My got some of their stuff was higher than where you can go buy a brand new it's unreal that even on thrift stores is sky high just ridiculous😮

Xmas takes Christ out of Christmas.
Ahh... the Algorithm creates titles for me. I understand where you're coming from however.
I was thinking the same thing! Christmas spelled out instead of the X. ❤️🙏
@@tammyperrin6077Christ was not crucified on a cross but rather an X. I think that we are all going to get educated Billy in the days ahead.❤

Christmas is not Christ's bd, research, it's a pagan day. Nimrod ,Ra ? The world is blind
