I know that happy sharing moment. My boy, 25 now, comes home from time to time and suggests a week's motorcycle tour of the Alps, wild camping, it's where I'm living now so not far. He really appreciates his Sherpa/ camp manager and I really appreciate spending special one on one time with my boy, I'm a lucky Dad. Happy days, make the most of it and cherish the moment 👍 The wolves in the camp during the night in the mercantour freaked him out though, he ended up sharing a tent with me that night 😂 He was in a hammock tent and he swears one blew in his ear, he was bite height 🤣 kids eh !
Good effort Richard, taking your Daughter camping. She seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. So hopefully you will get a chance to spend many more adventures, under the stars with her. It is child cruelty though to deny them WiFi! Stay safe
Spent many happy times camping all over Scotland and a bit in Yorkshire too, with my daughter over her growing up years. She's 25 now lives with her partner, but the memories of our trips are still there !! Cheers Rich and Phoebe !!🏕️👍
Well done Phoebe! Great to see you both outdoors enjoying some time. So important to do trips like this with our families. Start young with short adventures and they become big memories and lead to many more happy trips with bigger adventures to come. Thanks for sharing your special trip Richard.
I'm in a diving club that has had a summer camp going on since the 80's. There always seems to be a phase around 15 to 20-ish when the progeny of club members would rather be dead than to be camping with their parents ... but after that phase many of them return, and eventually bring their own children with them. The last time, one of my best mates told that his daughter - who's going through that phase - was sorry that she had made other plans, because her boyfriend got miffed that she'd rather go a music festival than hang around the campfire with a bunch of divers on an island in the middle of the sea...
Fabulous video ❤ I took my girls wild camping from 7 years old. My youngest is 14, just completed her DofE Silver, and we're planning a packrafting/wild camping weekend in the Lakes today. Your camp cooking is always an inspiration. Keep making those magical memories mate 👍
That was a great vlog, I wish I'd of been more pro active with my children and took them camping, it's definitely something that'll stay in your daughter's memory, she definitely liked her steak the right way (medium rare) 👌. Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤙 🤟. You have another subscriber 👍
Lovely to see you out with your daughter and great to see the island in a different season. Im going to have to try that pancake recipe, they look awesome.
Excellent video! My daughter wouldn't be seen dead camping. Maybe glamping if Prosecco was included. But my grand daughters and I do this regularly. There's a woodland at the end of our street, and my garden is big enough if we're not going for a bimble. Good to see. Thank you.
What a wonderful camp with your daughter Richard!! I enjoyed your video and good to see you again! Hopeully more camps with your daughter when she is a little older and more experienced!🥰😎
Hi Richard, another great camp video and great to see Phoebe out with you. She’s a natural. Look forward to the next instalment, perhaps a bike and pony trek/camp. 😎
Great family adventure. We were watching some "Blokes" videos and saw your canoe trip with him. Linked to yours and have been binge watching since yesterday pm. Thought we would start with "Smoking Salmon" should be sort of ok. OMG we lost it when we saw his pic above fridge. Then the "Safe Cafe " lunch . IT has been a joyful ride since. Thank You so much. We really needed this. Love your style ! Thank you !
Enjoyed the video Richard! How nice to have your daughter along! She looks to be about my granddaughter’s age. My granddaughter loves to camp. It’s so fun to be outside with the youngsters!
Wonderful! Good to see the generations mixing and working together. I reckon my daughter would be the better cook of her and me, but she has five sons of her own, so I don’t think she’ll be out with her dad any time soon! But her two youngest and I have fun cooking ‘second breakfast’ on the local trail, so I’ll not complain. Les in Chester
Just watching a program called Paranormal Caught on Camera, and who was front and centre but you………..and Nessie! On your canoe trip last year. Fame at last 👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗
Looks like you had fun together! Great video. Start them young. Much better than the phone and xbox. How do you make the video pan in and out like that?
What a lovely thing, that she wanted to go camping with her dad for her birthday weekend.
What a good Dad to take your daughter camping. There isn't enough of that going on in our lives these days. Thank you Richard.
Love spending time with her.
Golden! Besides the joy of time spent together creating truly lasting memories, the whole time she is learning important life skills.
You canny beat a daddy daughter wildcamp. Great bonding time away from the internet
Happy birthday Phoebe 🎊 🎉
So great to see! I do hope we'll see a video one day where your daughter takes you camping... ❤👍
I hope so too!

A wonderful snapshot of Dad and Daughter camping, subtitled "Ambush by Marshmallow". Beautiful moments both. Best to you and yours, J&A&B&T.
Many thanks!
Great video, Richard. Wellington boots and shorts have always been a great look. Ideal for a spot of Dad Dancing!

Glad you enjoyed it mate!
Thanks Richard - heart-warming video. To get my daughter to camp I would have to surgically remove her from her iPhone! 🤣👏
That is so great, Richard. You're a great Dad. Can you adopt me? 😁
Maybe one day!

Ha. What side was that on?
Discovery +👍👍
Looks like you had fun together! Great video.

How do you make the video pan in and out like that?
Hi. It’s a 360 camera, borrowed from a friend and you can mess around in the edit. Had it on the wrong setting, hence the annoying blurriness!

Was that a wee nod to head for the hills at the end ?
