Out of curiosity, Adam, why did you decide to transition to doing a single podcast approach?

Fair question. I've always done a co-hosted podcast. But, as my workload has increased and my focus on growing my own stuff has become front and center, it became really difficult to find times that worked for everyone - it's the same reason I left Green With Envy.
So, it made sense for me to pivot and start working on a solo show, where I can make sure there's consistency and that there's no overlapping with other peoples schedules.
It's 100% going to be a learning curve, and I'll have a battle to keep it interesting for everyone. But I have some ideas, and will make sure there's a healthy dose of guests and other things to make it work.
I also hate changing directions. And this summer has seen a lot of change for me. By going solo, I'm hoping to eliminate the risk of more change moving forward.
How do you think the first one went?

@@CelticsChronicle its fine. That reasoning makes sense. For sure, though its good to have guests to spice things up and to have someone to bounce things off of or to play devils advocate/challenge you.
I can definitely understand the schedule conflict. IIRC you're in the UK and i bet most of the content creators you worked with are from the US while you have audience members like me from Asia. like right now its 11:07 PM where i am.
Anyway i'm sure it'll work. You just gotta be patient and open to trying new things. Rooting for you and i'll definitely be around. ;)

This is an overrated signing. Lonnie is a 1-skill guy whose great skill (3-level scorer) is the one thing the Cs dont need. He wont get to handle the ball in the Cs offense as he'll be at least be behind 5 players in Cs playmaking depth chart (jt, jb, jrue, white, pp). The only thing he brings that translates is the good 3pt shooting. He doesnt rebound, set screens or play defense. Hes a decent passer though. The Cs need more of these skills from role players (along with high 3pt efficiency). They dont need another shot creator. Much moreso a guard which is their deepest position. They need 3ND wings.
Hes arguably this teams 12th man at best (assuming Joe prefers his offense to springer's defense). And when fully healthy, no team really plays more than 9-10 men a night in the regular season.
    Cs rotation:
starters 1-5: jt, jb, kp, jrue, d.white
core bench 6-9: al, hauser, pp, tillman
    regular rotation mins stop here.
situational bench 10-12: luke (with kp out to start the season), queta (for the time Al sits on the 2nd night of a B2B), lonnie (if they decide to give jrue the al treatment)
maine 13-18: jaden, anton, baylor, walsh, jd, drew
camp cuts 19-20: harper jr. Enaruna
The positive here is lonnie will push jaden and baylor in camp. Lonnie though wont get mins outside of garbage time/injuries/rest. He's not overtaking PP.

I agree with this. I think that's the value of the Exhibit 10, you don't have to convert him to a full-scale deal and can leave him in the G-League if the fit doesn't make much sense. Lonnie is essentially a better version of Svi with a deeper skillset. But, as you mention, he's not overtaking anyone in the rotation outside of maybe Scheierman - which I would prefer he didn't.
Great pick-up in terms of value and experience, but i'm not sold he makes the final roster ahead of the season.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I think teams/systems have alot to do with it. He's been in less than ideal systems. Brooklyn has been a mess, the spurs system isn't always great for giving players freedom, anytime you play with lebron you're automatically a spot up guy. I think this is a great depth piece. Our main guys will need rest throughout the year and I think he can be a guy who can give you 12-15 on nights where our stars aren't playing

Totally fair. My pushback would be that Lonnie's lack of defense could limit him getting those opportunities - the same way it limited Svi last year. I think Scheirerman's deeper skillset could also keep Lonnie deep on the bench. I kind of expect him to stick, but maybe gets waived, sent to Maine, and converted closer to February.

@@CelticsChronicle lonnies not eligible for a 2-way though so if he doesnt get a contract, he moves on.
Yeah the only ones he overtakes are the young guys: baylor, jaden, anton and walsh.
Agreed. Its a great pickup from Brad. A grade. Talent is talent. As long as its not a culture disruptor, you pick it up if ifs cheap and figure out the rest later. You never know when injuries can happen or someone regresses in camp.
What i can foresee happening here is lonnie gets a non-guaranteed vet min. Similar to what luke got before. The guaranteed date though will be the day post-trade deadline. This gives the Cs time to look at lonnie and Jaden then decide by the trade deadline who they want to keep. They could decided to guarantee lonnie's deal after they salary dump jaden for a pick to lessen luxury taxes. This approach helps lessen luxury taxes.
And agreed. Defense is the main issue for him. He needs to show hes at least on PPs level.defensively to be even considered to overtake jaden in the rotation.

@@TheRobversion1 You can still be funneled to the G-League without a two-way...the only difference is another team can sign him at any time. But, if there wasn't much interest now, there's a chance he's still in Maine by Feb.
