The Romans would have been proud of the stonework on the CBC trail! I'd hire that trail crew to build me a natural stone patio. I see we're not alone having a wet spring riding season.

I made it slowly through most of it but crashed on John Deere at 11:58 (I tried the left line and lost grip at the bottom and OTB). Shook it off and rode down a little bruised.
I burst out laughing at "how does evolution male that?" I had a biologist friend who theorized that all birds were jerks because they're mad that they're not dinosaurs anymore. as always love your riding, love your humor and the scenic things you point out and appreciate, love nics speed, and I love dave's wailing breaks lol. keep up the good work, keep having fun

sometimes an angry grouse will yell at you, sometimes it'll charge at you, and sometimes it'll just plant stumps on outside corners. really no telling what those sly fiends will choose on any given day
Dave’s choice of rider attire threw me off in the opening moments of the video! CBC looks like a great trail to test myself on when it dries up. Still won’t be able to come close to that blazing KOM time though lol! To my eye, there was something especially beautiful about the wet west coast rainforest filmed with your Hero 10 this week!
First up, major props to everyone who pitched in with all that work and serious refresh on CBC, trail looks amazing, shiny and new, ready for another 10 years of hard riding. Second, you timed that run well, amazing light. Third, as usual, some great riding. Fourth, no that corner wasn't that sharp, it's just you're now riding a semi-truck length bike, time to pull the Revolver back out 😛
Um, definitely no, but then again, the Revolver really isn't an "XC" bike IMHO, it's got the geo to handle pretty much any terrain, just not the travel, just have to take it a bit slower is all. Would love to get you onto a bike from back in the day when those trails were built, to let you experience just what those guys were riding those trails on and sending it.
@@DaleStone Hahaha. Wasn't talking about way back '90s era, not that crazy or unreasonable, meant more when bikes kind of started to be overall better, early 2000s, say a 2005 Giant REIGN ;-)
@@DaleStone I'm fighting an internal battle of a) wanting to ride it while it's not destroyed, but also b) wanting to ride it in dry conditions since it looks like even in the dry it'll be a challenge for me. Hopefully it holds up! I have trust in local trail builders who no doubt know how to build trails for the climate, so hopefully it'll last at least a season.
Did one of those other riders recognize you there at 8:19? That must feel crazy for you when your channel is still so small (deserves to be much bigger though)!

As someone from QC its so alien to see anyone riding when there's a millimeter or more of water on the trail :') (really tho whats up with us and this weird rule ?)
The expectation is that this trail is wet weather friendly (rock armoured, wood, etc) since it always has been. Probably wouldn't ride it again in these conditions!

not sure how i feel about the changes honestly. its almost *_too_* smooth now. alot of the charm that cbc had came from how janky it was.
I wasn't around for pre-2010(ish?) CBC, so I have no frame of reference. Certainly an improvement form 2021 when coming in with no expectations!
