I loved the different themes and costumes for every performance. I’ve never seen belly dance and flamenco fused together. So cool! Everyone looked like they had a great time! I’d say Drummer Bob was in a trance there at the end.🤣❤️✨
My friend Lindsey really did a spectacular job putting on this hafla! Omygosh, yes, I love doing drum solo with Bob! I assume you've been to the channel and seen the playlist? There's one on hafla skills where you can see another hafla vlog, and there are performance playlists, etc. Do you already belly dance, or are you new to it?
I know I had fun but I'm pretty sure that Jamie (blue Choli on the right in the student class dance) had more fun than anyone! Thanks for this wonderful memory of a truly special event. Lindsey, I'll so glad we met!!
Lindsey, it was such a warm, welcoming, and FUN hafla recital for new dancers to begin performing belly dance. I was honored to be part of it! 💕 Please share video so we can keep expanding our beloved belly dance community.
SOME OF Anam Cara's students were simply NOT READY for their solos. I am very sorry if that sounds harsh, but if we wanted to do a solo, we had to work for it! A few of the women were looking at the floor, looking at the lead dancer and were one step behind, fixing their hair while dancing (?), looking bored. We were an amateur troop also, however our teacher demanded polish. I am being honest and care very much as to how "The Dance" appears to the public.
😂😂😂 I love Titian, clare5 one! Drummer Bob has been dubbed the Significant Drummer by one of the dancers, Pam, who attends our workshops. 😉 He has a wonderful sense of humor, both on the stage and in the studio. RAQ, clare5 one!
Hi Jensuya! This was so much fun to watch, thanks for covering the event! Wish I could be there Lovely veil work and always a pleasure watching the light and easy dynamics between you and drummer Bob. I found it intriguing that like Lindsey, I too came from a jazz background and somehow found my way to belly dance and now love it! She also performed a belly dance flamenco fusion number and I did a similar number at my birthday hafla just this Saturday. Kudos to her for teaching and sharing her passion for belly dance.
@@Lsuits100 Fun and challenging! I thought belly dance would be easy peasy since I already had a dance background, boy was I wrong! The emphasis and focus of movement is so different I had to retrain myself, in a way. Congratulations on your solo, your group dance with your students and for a successful hafla!

Dearest Jensuya, my first recital was SOOOO LOOOONG ago, that Titian was called in to record it. You and maestro Bob are so cute together❣️❣️
