    I just purchased this combo in 7ft MH. I have the Lew's Mach pro in this same price range I can't wait to see which is better in my opinion. I like the Lew's Mach pro a lot but they don't cover the screw threads on the reel seat and it gets uncomfortable to fish with after a couple hours especially if you're catching them. I back lash seldomly using it. Also I have a Shimano cronarch St croix victory set up which is unnecessary but pure pleasure to fish with. I've found now that anything from 200$ up from a trusted brand is usually of great quality and if you spend 400+ on a set up you're just spoilimg yourself.... Which is okay sometimes 😂😂

    how do you have both the internal and external brakes set up on the reel for casting 1/8 - 1/4oz lures?

    • @southernsalt
      @southernsalt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I set the spool tensioner to where the lure falls freely and when the lure hits the ground the spool doesn’t continue to turn. On the break side it just depends, this is wheee you fine tune your reel to the lure and conditions. On calm conditions I’m around 2 clicks from wide open and on windy conditions it’s typically around the half way point.
