  • Susan first began exhibiting her work at the Jonathan Cooper Gallery, in London, where she explored using exciting compositions to depict botanical subjects such as apples, leaves and cherries. Dr Sherwood first came upon her work there, and you can see the paintings she collected on the SSC site.
Since then, she’s won an RHS Gold Medal and has had her work collected by the Prince of Wales's Highgrove Florilegium and Transylvanian Florilegium, the Hunt Institute, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney, Chelsea Physic Garden, and the Isaac and Alisa Sutton Collection.
More recently, she’s delved into the arboreal world, researching, discovering and depicting birds nests and British trees. Her considered and tender watercolour life-sized depictions have culminated in two gorgeous compendiums: ‘Nests’ and ‘Overleaf: An Album of British Trees’.
