I remember my Acura TL '04 HID bulbs kept going out randomly and didn't want to work sometimes after powering on the car, so I bought some new HID's to fix the problem.
*Didn't work*
Next, I bought two new ballasts that came with the igniters to see if that would help, except I didn't use the igniters since my current igniters seemed to be in great shape.
*Didn't work*
Since I ran out of options, I decided to use the new igniters that came with the ballasts.
*Problem Solved!!*
In case someone doesn't know what an igniters is in a car, it is the wire that connects to the ballast and is used to power on the HID. I wanted to share this incase others have the same problem.

I wonder if this is my problem. My headlight comes on for about 30 sec and then turns off when I am driving. Something strange going on.

Just FYI, first owner of 2005 TL, Manual Transmission, 287,000 miles and going strong. If 93 octane is too steep, I have been using regular gas since 2008 and it works fine. You do lose some performance, but it is a lot cheaper.
