I don’t think that Harper was the problem in the movie, I think Abby was the in the movie the problem. As I think she kinda weak of a person in my opinion, because she keeps on accepted and agreed to everything. I don’t think Harper was even try that hard, convincing Abby to do anything or everything. I mean, Harper didn’t have or need to manipulated Abby. (It not like she was a abuser of a person or anything.) But Abby just quickly accepted it in a second, without a second thought for she made a decision. Like when she finally decided to leave, after the crap she gone through and everything. She quickly to accept to stay after Harper ask her too, without any real effort to convince her to. Abby only decided to leave for good, after she finally see the real Harper. And then she again accepted Harper apology and forgave her, without Harper even have trying hard to convince Abby. She also forgiven the twin kids for what, they to her and accepted their apology. Honestly, I couldn’t feels that sorry for Abby, if she was that easy to convince. By not a good person that didn’t, need to try that hard to convince her. I don’t think Harper was a manipulator, because she never force Abby into anything. Abby just easily accept and agreed to it. Sure Harper maybe a terrible person, but she isn’t that of bad person. She just made a bad decision in her life, even though she it doesn’t excuse. What she had done to Riley in the past, but she isn’t perfect and she isn’t evil neither.

What I don’t like about the movie is that, we don’t get any focus or storyline of Harper. Explanation why she acting the way she is, as we just supposed to dislike and hates. Because what Riley said about, while we don’t get any of Harper. Side of the story to see if it even true or not, we supposed accept Riley words for it. Or because Harper either ignored and not spending time with Abby. I just think that Harper was done and written dirty in the whole movie, which was sort of unfair and wasn’t done well as I think. Harper’s family got a little bit more scene time or focus. Even I think Riley got more screen time than Harper, who supported to a minor character and not meant to that important. While Harper who supposed to be Abby love interest not Riley. I also, don’t understand why a lot of people in a comment. Wants Abby to be with a complete stranger, that she just met and hardly know that much. All we know she could be as bad as Harper or Riley have an another side of her, just because what happened her in the past by Harper doesn’t make her any better then Harper. Like I said, Abby just met Riley like a few days ago. Be good an enough reason to consider that for Abby should go with, a complete stranger that she hardly knows about her. Because she told a story about, what happened with Harper. As how we know that she didn’t just made it up, just cause tension as like I said. As we don’t anything side of Harper the story, we just supposed to take Riley’s words. We just supposed hates Harper for that, just Riley said so to Abby to take it as the fact.
I agree 100%. I wanted to like this movie, but five minutes in, I knew it was going to be TERRIBLE. That opening bondage reindeer set the entire tone. It seemed like it wanted to be a comedy but didn't know how. Harper IS trash. The twins are ARE trash. Sloane is ABSOLUTE trash. Jane, Riley, and Joseph are the only good people in the entire movie. It was poorly written, unpolished, and just needed another pair of editing eyes. I want an update with Riley and Abby as a couple.
This review is on point! I just despised the Harper character and was unhappy that it ended with them reconciling, even though I understand that it is the type of movie to have that ending.
For some reason, I have never found situations where a person is brought to their partner’s home and is then made to be uncomfortable comical. I hated Meet the Parents and The Family Stone for the same reason. That’s just not funny to me. I’m sure I would feel the same about this movie. Great review!! And the shade in that one actress was everything!!! 😂
Hello my angels! I didn't forget about you, I've been watching and liking. I had surgery n a bad experience with the staff. So I'm trying to put myself together again, from mental to physical but I just had to say hey. Joseph I got this maroon wig to lift my spirits and make my friends laugh while I lay in this bed. Surprisingly my brother said " you look GORG, Im here for it." 😻 As soon as Im better im going red, well at least the grays will 😝
I love Joseph being shady to the actors/characters! Why'd you edit that girl to look like a robot lol. Ya'll made this movie seem like its so bad you have to watch. Now I wish I had Hulu.

This was probably one of the most entertaining movie reviews of this movie I have seen yet. Great work guys!
FINALLY! A review that showcases all the reasons why this movie was just not that great (even tho everyone has been singing its praises).

🤣🤣 “buttermilk”
Those got damn kids were terrible 😂☠️.... the whole drag of Harper took me out 😂😂😂
Yes! Sloane kids were absolutely terrible and annoying, in the whole as they didn’t really any purpose in the movie.

this is my new favorite show, thank you.
OMG! The Mitch McConnell reference was perfect and I'm living for it ❤🐘🐘🐘🐘❤
You guys crack me upppp, keep up the good work!!
I totally agree that this movie was missing a slap stick comedy element. I sensed it in the dialogue. I imagine Clea Duval changed her mind.

I agree with Joseph, Harper was not likable
Joseph shading Mackenzie Davis was hilarious! The only film where she gives a solid performance is "Tully". Love you, Nick and Joseph!
