Amazing, I love how the line "We are the warriors that built this town" works so perfectly with House Plantagenet. In so many ways England wouldn't be the same without them.
in the Plantagenets' defense, the Arpads were founders and pioneers, conquerors to the bone. The Plantagenets had to deal with a shit load of politics constantly because of early blunders that later members had to work around (anyone remember John the Lackland?). They were bogged down by the nobles' bureaucracy, not to mention their progressively muddled line of succession that ended up putting Henry VI on the throne and costing them the Hundred Years War. Also a trend I've observed is that men with ability, lacking a consummately superior peer, have a tendency to restrain each other in the race for ambition, such is with the Plantagenets.

Nearly after every good king there was a bad successor and after that a good one. Im not a fan of the "good times create bad leaders, bad leaders create hard times, hard times create good leaders, good leaders create good times" but the Plantagenets follow an interesting pattern

Yes of course they have some Plantagenet blood through the female line, but they are considered a different dinasty because when it comes to it, the male line is taken into consideration. Wouldn't be so, virtually every monarch -every Plantagenet too- would be considered belonging to an altogether different dinasty on account of their mothers belonging to a different dinasty. And of course almost every dinasty has some blood from the precedent. That doesn't mean the Stuarts were Tudors, the Windsor are Hanovers, the Plantagenets are Norman... though some of the blood is still there.

OMG - I'M TOTALLY HOOKED, this is being re-played many times every day now. LURRRV the lyrics, the music, voices singing it, and the vid.. absolutely awsome. I've always been fascinated with the medieval era, The Plantagenets and the Tudours. I've always felt a connection with this era... even more so now when I see and hear this. Could say so much about this amazing and fascinating era of Englands great history, and yet I feel speechless. It kinda gives a sense of courage and pride and sense of a deeper connection to the great people of this era. Love their clothes, uniforms/ armour, their style.. the castles, gardens, homes, and other great buildings, and so much more. Other tracks such as "Ghost of a Rose" and "Under a violet moon", .. are awsome songs and vids too, showing clips of the Tudors. Hooked on that too. But this.... Wow... this does something else to me. Wow, wow wow.
