Keep em coming!! :) I have an Aprilia RSV4 (non a-PRC) that I have retrofitted a-PRC onto. a-PRC stands for "Aprilia Performance Ride Control" and includes Traction control, Wheelie Control, Launch Control and Quickshift. I've swapped the complete wiring loom, clocks and added inertia sensor, wheel sensors and encoders, wheel sensor ECU and a lot of other parts. It was a fantastic project. DIY-projects are almost as fun as riding :)

No it's impossible to wire in, the 2012 has a different gearbox casing to house the switch. It's a full switch also one wire for each gear all aftermarket gear indicators use a mix of Revs and speed to work out the gear, it won't work
Do you know what the small gray connector by the bigger black connector goes to? I got the sub harness and cluster swap but can't get my head lights to work.

Thanks Mauro, it might... Wouldn't like to say for sure, the bikes are separated by quite a few years.. Think to check is buy the 954 service manual and check the sensor testing section and see what voltages things like the speedo sensor and temp sensor run at, then check against the 2012 blade manual.. You can download It if you search the net. If they run around the same range then good chance it will work I would say..

Another great vid - very useful! I do like the 2012 clocks and would love to fit them to my blade. I'll keep a look out on ebay, but first glance I've discovered they ain't cheap! Thank Christ I've got a 2009 bike and it's mostly plug & play. My soldering skills are probably worse than yours! ;)
Haha yes prices do vary Chris, some bargains to be had sometimes.. Easy swap for you with your model to. I've already been asked to mod someone's else's loom so looks like the soldering skills will get tested again :)

I have two things, one to ask and one to suggest, if we can fit a 2012 cluster on a 2006 bike then probably is the same if anyone wants to fit a 2008 cluster on a 2006 bike? and second I think that there is a way to seperate the two blue cable regarding "hi beam" and "6th gear", after you have soldered all the other cables plug the harness on the bike switch on and just give to each cable seperate a positive from battery and you will see which is which.. I hope this was helpfull. best regards!! :)

Nope not if you buy the 2012 head light harness it comes with the clock connector. The 2012 head light hardness plugs in to your 2011 bike loom no probs. Gear indicator won't work though sorry, it's a switch on the gearbox on the 2012 which yours doesn't have and no way to retro fit

You do need the 2012 headlight harness Juson, the connector on the back of the clocks is different

Yes but you would need the 08 headlight look also, can't see why it wouldn't work..
I have an 08 but I just got a 12 motor with wiring harness and ecu so I wanted to install it but keep the 08 gauge.
I'm on a mission at the moment to try and rig up the gear indicator using some sort of rotary switch, don't think I'll be able to though
