I love it when Eliot hosts. I love it when anyone hosts because please post more, but Eliot has that quirk factor that I love.
I know it’s like a year late but I think Aaron could’ve attempted to win off of the chain of vapor that stopped him at 16:31. With 5 treasures and a mountain he has 6 mana available, he could copy the chain by sacking his ancient tomb to bounce his imp recruiter ending the chain. Cast recruiter, 3 mana remaining, find dockside for like 7, cast Magda find clock for a gg unless there’s something I’m missing

Hey guys noticed the math was off and Aaron should’ve actually been at 31, when he was attacked with Pako his life was at 38, and since he was dealt 7 damage, he should’ve been at 31. Just felt that since I’m good at Magic i should point that out

Got a budget Pako deck that I'm slowly adding to, one of these days it might be cedh but for now I just like smacking people with a dog and stealing their lands.
Based on Alex's intro I would like to petition to have Pako and Haldan referred to as Hand Banana going forward.
I feel ike Aaron should have gone to combat after playing Magda to get 11 treasures so he could play around interaction and then win in the combat step before blockers.
I was gonna say that I'm the first comment, and then I saw two comments there already, from three days ago, and I knew I stood no chance against the gods.

alex is a brutal paco pilot. he does so much damage and gets so much value.
I'm 4 months late, but a cool missed line is that Aaron could've continued the chain and targeted his own recruiter, recast it, got dockside (5 treasures + 1 untapped land means he can pay once), and gotten 7 treasures (even if Jim cracks his). Recast magda and have 5 treasures left over to go for the win.
Consider yourselves engaged. :)

and if they *aren't removed* on cast, if the Time Warp was exiled, wouldn't it be castable again with Haldan?)
Good question! Counters can't stay on objects when they change zones (CR122.2), so when Time Warp goes from exile to the stack it loses its fetch counter.
I thought Time Warp wasn't fetched anyway. It was tutored with a Personal Tutor.

I built an Orvar deck to play as Archenemy in my Edh pod I went with mind control enchantments and the like to copy and steal my opponents boards with ease. Works pretty great! Also, Aaron should always be at 31

How did Aaron get infinite untapped treasures from the Manufacturer? That would have given him infinite untapped food and clues in addition to infinite tapped treasures.
I believe he should have bounced dockside after the hellkite and then loop dockside with the dwarf, but he didn't say that.
Did I miss something? To me it sounded that what he said he was doing wasn't possible, since he only has 5 untapped treasures at that point.
Since manufacturer makes a treasure, clue and food, he can now tap an artifact changeling and a clue/food, to repeat his loop, making infinite untap treasures (since he no longer needs to tap his treasure to repeat the loop)
