TIGER SHARK sighting in slick Calm Ocean! Plus Swordfish and Mahi! Catch/Clean/Cook

- On this fishing charter we head offshore of Islamorada in search of swordfish. The weather is beautiful and we manage 3 swordfish, 4 mahi, and even come across a tiger shark! Back at Bud n' Mary's Marina we clean the swordfish and then head home to cook it. We wind up smoking a tail loin and it turns out amazing!

Nick enjoyed your video showing the fun y'all had catching the fish. Your boat looked like a enjoyable party barge. I especially appreciated the detail in smoking that swordfish. You can't beat Seafood Magic on white flakey fish to intensify the natural favor and it's mild enough for kids to appreciate the taste. Sadie proved that this swordfish was delicious with her devious sitting position at the platter that said, "I have mine what are you going to eat". LOL Glad to see you utilizing those spices. 👍❤🐟

This was great!! Love the tag and release of the juvies, the dolphin (love their color in the water- it never gets old), and the tiger shark. So cool!!!! But my favorite part was Sadie devouring the fresh--caught swordfish!!!! I just smiled and smiled! :) She is growing up knowing what's good and knows where it came from. As parents, that has GOT to make you feel great! Claire is right behind her! :) I look forward to seeing your girls reeling fish in!! :)

Slick calm usually equals hot. Seems that you can't have it both ways. I noticed that big transducer is quite loud in the underwater footage. Great trip and video.
The transducer makes some noise for sure
would love to see you do a video on just using the fish on that smoker grill - what seasonings, what settings/temps, etc. i bought a pellet grill last year and have been hooked on using it. Thx.

You need to try Veri Veri Teriyaki brand is Soy Yay. That is the best I’ve ever had on fish or deer meat.

Lol a banana, I took a Gloucester dragger fisherman giant bluefin fishing once and he saw bananas on my boat and started yelling at me I could not convince him it’s superstition he threw them in the water and called me an idiot, don’t know why fishermen can be so superstitious, funny you put that on here. Great video

I'm no Zane Gray, but I hate to see the swordy caught with someone keeping the rod in the holder--more like a commercially caught fish in my mind. Fight your fish--and if you can't/wont, break it off. I know that is not everyone's point of view--same deal with passing the rod around to 2, 3, or more people--then high fiving each other. Swords fight to the death, (you could see it was dead before you used the harpoon--"so it wouldn't get away" I guess), least we can do is give em a fair shake, IMO. Again, I know many people who do not agree. Same with later sitting around, eating it like finger food--was waiting for the dog to come over for some. It all seems disrespectful to one of the ocean's great fighting fish. We have a LOT of modern equipment, I realize that, but seems to me we might as well net em, if we are going THAT far away from the days of sport fishing. Or just stay in port, and go to a nice seafood restaurant--if that is all their life means to a "fisherman"

I don’t recommend swimming with a swordfish. Someone I know tried that and got speared in the chest and he died.
